After download, box that says 'you have chosen to open' 'gray out' after selecting the button browse and full page is frozen / crashed. PC reboot needed.

Hi Firefox
After I finished downloading a file, see the Mozilla download page.
I right click on the download to open it and the box "you have chosen to open" appears in the lower right of the screen with the "radio button", already selected for "open with...
So far, all this is perfectly normal.
However if I click on the "Browse" button to make a choice then the title at the top of the box, closing "Cross" and the "OK" button all gone gray and are unusable.
In addition, all the page Firefox is frozen / crashed and cannot be closed.
I have no other option but to reboot the PC.
I tried various suggestions I found on your forums, including the removal of cookies, disable hardware acceleration, and I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 12.
I looked at your "troubleshooting information" and it does not show a graphic driver problem. However, my driver is the latest driver nVidia for my GeForce FX5200 card and it worked fine with firefox 12.

Here are the specs of my computer:

MSI K8N Neo motherboard (N1996 MS-7030 VER: 1),
an AMD Athlon (tm) 64 processor 3200 + (Socket 754)
3 GB of RAM.
At present, it has a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 graphics card.
The system runs Windows XP Professional 32-bit with SP3 and all the drivers are up to date.

I have used Firefox for many years and not that another browser would never use!
I did have a problem until now. I hope you can help me.

Kind regards
Chris
