  Upgrade to El capitan in snow leopard, and now I can't print from my Canon mp970. I went to the site Web of Canon for a printer driver is compatible with the new operating system - found nothing.   I met the same problem and tried several things before finding the solution for the print job. You must install the drivers 'old' Mountain Lion. They still do the job.

  Download the .dmg package and open it. Dubbel click .dmg package and follow the instructions. Connect your printer by a usb cable and turn on the printer. If not now, it won't work!

  Then, go to the apple/menu logo and choose Preferences system - open printers & scanners - click on the button "+" under and on the left side.

  If the printer is on and the installation of the finished, .dmg package you should be able to see in a new menu 'Add printer' one or more printers. Add one you need. If your mac is connected to the local network you will see a usb and printer of netwerk MP970 canon MP970 canon (network printer takes a while to appear), including its network address. Add the two printers and name them differently to avoid confusion.

  Now everything should work.

• After the upgrade to El Capitan cannot insert CD/DVD in external drive

  Hello

  I have a Macbook Pro (mid-2014 retina) and I have this problem since I upgraded to OS El Capitan. Now I have the last 10.11.5.

  I can't insert a CD/DVD in the external DVD drive. It gets stuck at the end when it is like 80% already.

  I searched on the web before and there was a workaround solution that you put the CD in and reboot and it would work and it is indeed, but it's a pain that every time I work on the Macbook and in the middle of something and I want to insert a CD that I have to close everything and restart to get the disc inside!

  Once I do that, it works fine and I can eject and insert it again normally, but the first time I have to restart first, and since it's an external drive, I have connected it all the time, so whenever I connect it, I have to redo this same process.

  I was hoping with the last update that this problem could have been resolved for me obviously it's a software problem because it came with the upgrade to El Capitan, I've improved in later, but still problem is there. I hope that someone would have reached a permanent solution for this and I would be really grateful to know it.

• Cannot send Web Pages

  All of a sudden I can no more long e-mail web pages or links in Safari. I used to go to hand, by e-mail and send automatically. Now I get "Bookmark, Messages, Notes, reminders, etc.".  I got the E-mail icon in my toolbar, but it does not work. Yes, I can copy the web page and go to my e-mail program, but I just want to in Safari. Anyone know what happened? Is it a problem to upgrade?

• Cannot download document Pages on Facebook

  I have a new MacBook Pro with Version 10.10.5, Yosemite and Pages ' 09 version 4.1. I created an ad with Pages, import a picture. Because I did not yet understand the new system of Photoshop and Lightroom very well, I made a copy of a photo and place in on the office. Although I have not done anything in Photoshop with layers - just lightened up a little bit, it was released as a psd. I returned and flattened and saved as a jpg file and replaced the photo psd on the page with the JPG document. Facebook always comes up with the same message. Someone said to open it in preview but I don't even really know what song is or understand. I never used it. On my old Mac, I was extremely proficient with Photoshop - used often and always without problem, but this new LR/PS system always escapes me.

  Preview is an application included with OS X. You can find it in your Applications folder. Export your document Pages as a PDF file or one of these images you have handled in PDF format, then open the PDF with preview. The easiest way is likely to be fair, simply drag the icon of the PDF file on the Preview.app icon in Applications. Then, in the preview, click on file > export... and choose JPEG from the Format: drop-down menu. You should now be able to download the file that results on Facebook.

  Since the last update, one cannot send or receive e-mails. It's showing that Mozilla thunderbird connects, but it just freezes.   After reinstall Thunderbird, have you used the old profile or new profile.

  Check with your IMAP/POP3, SMTP settings and the PORT.

  If you cannot send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support

  If the link doesn't help you contact your telephone operator, MMS is a function of carrier.
