After Firefox restart, repeatetly said computer updaties.

My friends computer updated Firefox ver 10. Now repeatlety says it needs to restart. Ater restart it says the same thing, how can I fix it?

Try to run the program Firefox once as an administrator (right click firefox.exe: run as administrator).

If this does not solve the problem then delete the program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) Firefox to do a clean reinstall.

Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible.

  • Do NOT remove the data of a personal nature when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data, because all profile files will be deleted.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

Your bookmarks and other profile data stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

    Hi shield - I.

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. what kind of sound you hear when you restart the computer?

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

In this case the Firefox homepage integrated display and no other site?

In order to exclude Flash as a potential culprit, could you try one or two of the following ways:

    (1) disable the Safe_mode of the Flash Player plugin.

The following pages provide different ways to do this:

Flash must unload completely from memory (Firefox restart might help) before it would take effect.

    (2) the value of Flash Click-to-Play ("ask to activate").

This will delay the Flash start on a page, until you approve, which will distinguish the questions generated by Flash to load and layout problems.

To set 'Ask to activate', open the page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. Search 'Shockwave Flash' and always change 'enable' to 'ask to activate '.

When you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification in the address bar icon and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an information bar slides between the toolbar and in the page area.

    Any improvement in these scenarios?

  • Not updated to Firefox restarted my Windows logon?

I left my computer with a number of windows and documents are open, some in the middle to make changes. When I got home, my other activity had disappeared and Firefox said he just did an automatic update.

The update of Firefox cancel all active programs, I had?

I received no warning that Firefox would do an automatic update?

I think that any program should be an automatic restart of Windows without the explicit permission of the user. A warning that it will be launched automatically in x minutes is not good enough, if the user has left the computer for several hours without saving all that was being developed. Microsoft Windows that does as well and I think it's a bad thing to do to users.

Hello! Firefox does not automatically your computer restart (I don't think that applications can even do). However, Windows doesn't in fact restarts itself updates, giving you a few minutes only to cancel. Now, IIRC it restarts the apps you had opened in time windows was arrested. And one of the apps that have restarted Firefox, which - because it has been restarted - apply an update, it was downloaded in the background.

At least that's the best explanation I. Restart your computer if any Firefox.

She did this false positive Suspicious.Cloud with SeaMonkey for years every so often releases SM and Norton did not bother to fix it. Norton antivirus would claim a virus found in file freebl3.dll only there is not and never has been.

Messages on the claim of Suspicious.cloud with Firefox here (and mozillaZine) were infrequent compared to SeaMonkey.
