• Firefox 4 will not open thunderbird for mailto and send links

  I use Windows 7 Enterprise.
  Since the FF4 update will not open Thunderbird when a mailto link or send the link is clicked. My system has Thunderbird selected as the default e-mail client, and these links work in other browsers.

  Following some help online suggestions on selection of Firefox's default mail client:

  There is no option for 'mailto' or 'mail' in the content type window.

  I suffered with this for weeks and finally worked around her.
  Thunderbird has been defined as a client by default, but it does not work with some other customers as well, so I went to Default Programs / set program by default, Thunderbird selected, which was already defined as e-mail client by default, selected "Choose defaults for this program" and click Save. That fixed it for PDF Complete, but not for FF4.

  In FF4, I changed the mailto option always Ask (it was Thunderbird (default)), then selected Thunderbird as client after picking send the link. It worked, so next time I checked the box in the dialog box always use Thunderbird and now it works. Grrr.

• Windows 7 will not accept any ati driver and catalyst control center at the same time.

  I tried a number of ati drivers. My card is a 4870 x 2 2 GB edition. The driver that windows installs will not accept any CCC.

  I did also install CCC and only driver left. I tried to play Everquest 2, first game to install, and it crashes before the charge, gives me an error of ref dx9.

  I'm assuming that windows 7 has the new package dx so I shouldn't have to reinstall that. I downloaded some of them however.

  I'll try a restore and see if it works. If I could go back in time and never bought this o/s I now.

  Windows 7 DirectX 11.  You can also download and install v9 and have both at the same time, which is what I have on two different computers for this reason.

  If necessary, you can attach a screenshot that shows the display of the certificate.

• after firefox updated to version 6.02, bookmarks, history and settings were missing. It looks like my old profile was replaced by a new vacuum.

  Windows 7 on a Dell desktop computer. Firefox updated to version 6.02 yeaterday. When I then opened it, I found nothing, nor the software let me restore backup bookmarks.

  One possible cause is a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.

  I bought a new calculation, built from scratch. I loaded the XP operating system. My outlook express work good but emails that contain links will not open links.  How can I fix this problem?

  You can also go to the control panel. Internet options, then on IE set as a default value, to fix it.

• I use a Belkin USB wireless adapter. In Device Manager, I see this same adapter listed several times... with a yellow exclamation mark over it. However, an entry for this card will not have any problems indicated and work well.

  I think that whenever this USB adapter is removed and reinstalled, the system is seen as a new USB device.  However, if I try to uninstall the list in Device Manager showing a yellow exclamation point, the system will not... I get a message saying "Uninstall failed...". This device may be required for the system startup.

• Firefox stopped play videos on some web sites and displays all graphics on the other. Have you Windows error msgs before videos stopped.

  A few times I got messages Windows error on a problem with Firefox and security, but I don't remember the exact wording of the error message or of what Windows disabled.

  Now on some news sites, I can't play videos, it is happening now on YouTube where I get an error message when I try to play a video.

  I also have problems on the site of the major League Baseball with the browser displaying some graphics.

  I restarted Firefox several times and even restarted my computer, but this has not solved the problem.

  Looks like you have trouble getting all the apps to download everything on your phone, because they seem to get stuck. I would leave the App Store and applications on your phone settings:

  Force an app to close the iOS

  1. press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used.
  2. slide to the left to find the application you want to close.
  3. push upward on the overview of the application to close.

  When you have done that reboot the device and test again the question:

  iOS: switch off and on (restart) and reset

  Instead of having the sidebar on the left, I have the sidebar on the right and a big empty space where the text should be. The text is moved to the bottom of the empty space for me.
