  I'll install MacOS Sierra like many of you, but I won't update or upgrade, I want to do a 'Clean Install' on my iMac to the retina. There are several small, painful on ranging from the questions that no ONE at Apple was able to help with. I'm sped to start again and I hope after a month or two AFTER Sierra is released and immediate bugs will be crushed and then I can make the trip.   Just replace the name of 'El Capitan' with 'macOS Sierra.

  FWIW, the upgrade can not get rid of your "hard" problems, according to what they are.

  You do not change the path in iTunes.  Who does as it says which is tell iTunes where media files [new] store.   Any player should work.  I use a WD drives on my own, (although I share with other systems then the xbox).  Actions are implemented for UPnP.  The documentation should be sufficient to implement that.  Make sure the drive is formatted as an NTFS drive, or it is not possible.

  In addition, make sure you have the latest firmware (21 January 2009).
