Original title: problems with Win7 and MozillaFirefox

    Hi Ulica,

Thank you to contact Microsoft Community and we will be happy to help you with your concern.

According to the description, it looks like you are facing an Internet problem on the Windows 7 operating system.

It would be great if you can answer these questions to help you further.

    1. is the question confined with Mozilla Firefox?

2 are you able to access the same Web site using Internet Explorer?

    3. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

4 are you facing this problem while accessing the secure Web site?

Problem with Internet Explorer, I would suggest trying the following methods and check.

Reset the Internet Explorer settings can also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the reset Internet Explorer settings.

  • How to stop the side toolbar to appear whenever I open a pdf file in Acrobat DC?

Toolbar on the right is annoying in Acrobat DC. How can this be repaired?

    Hello

The new "hand right toolbar" in Acrobat DC is always enabled by default, proving an instant access to frequently used tools. That said, we are certainly heard a number of customers who want Acrobat DC 'remember' the last State. So if you close it, it will stay closed when you open it then.   You want to have a fix in place in the coming months ~ 3 here.

  • When I try to open a PDF file with adobe Acrobat reader Windows Media Center automatically appears.

When I try to open a PDF file with adobe Acrobat reader, windows media center automatically opens. How to prevent this? I just want to open the PDF file with Acrobat reader.

The solution I think. If you right-click on one of the files and select open the file locations it now combined the file with adobe reader.

Yes - you simply need to change the associated file (and path) back to Adobe Reader.  (If that's your choice PDF reader.)

    If you did this:

Press the Windows Logo and R key at the same time to bring up the dialog box RUN.
Once you have the dialog box up, type in the following command and press OK...

    cmd /k ftype AcroExch.Document

That he return with? Should be something like:

    AcroExch.Document = "C:\Program files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" '%1'

  • Opening PDF files in Acrobat XI outside Chrome browser

    Acrobat XI

Google chrome, I want to open a PDF file that automatically opens outside Acrobat Chrome either within Acrobat itself.

I want first to save the PDF file, then open it.

I want Chrome to download, and then open the PDF in Acrobat.

Acrobat 9 would do that. How do you do this in Acrobat XI?

    Thanks in advance.

    Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1

    Chrome version 37.0.2062.103 m

    V11.0.08 Acrobat XI

    Browser Chrome & Acrobat

"To have Chrome to download a PDF file rather than display them in the browser,

Shift-click on disable to the currently active Viewer.

That leaves the two plug-ins Viewer disabled so that PDF files is displayed in the browser. »

There are two plugins specified via 'chrome://plugins/ '.

    Adobe Reader - Version: 11.0.8.4

Adobe PDF plugin for Firefox and Netscape 11.0.8

One plugin can be activated at the same time.

If you clear one, the other is automatically activated.

    This behavior is not intuitive.

If either is selected, the PDF file is displayed in the Chrome browser.

To open a PDF file in Acrobat XI outside the Chrome browser, you must disable two plugins.

To disable two plugins, Shift-click on disable the plugin active.

    This will disable two plugins.

Using shift + click on disable isn't intuitive behavior.

Now when you click on a PDF file on a web page, the Chrome browser will not have a plugin to manage the PDF file, so it will bring up a dialog box record.

Go ahead and save the PDF file somewhere like downloads.

The Chrome browser will show at the bottom of the browser window, a reference to the downloaded PDF file.

In the drop-down list, select "open this type of file.

A PDF open in Acrobat XI outside the browser Chrome.

  • Do Adobe flaw for opening a PDF file

All of my PDF files in Microsoft Office Picture opened last month. I want to open them in Adobe. (I have XI.) How can I make Adobe default my site to open a PDF file? Help, please. Thank you

    Sue

Can you please try the steps under Windows XP:

-Right click on any PDF file, then click 'open with '.

-Select "Choose the program," even if the PDF Viewer you want to use appears in the list.

-Click on the PDF Viewer that you would like Windows to use by default when opening PDF documents. If the correct PDF Viewer is not displayed in the list, click on the button "Browse". Navigate to the location of the program on your computer, click on it and click 'open '.

-Check the box "Always use the selected program to open this type of file."

-Click 'OK '. The program you have selected now will automatically be used when a PDF file is opened.

    Hello!

We use Acrobat Reader, Windows 8.1 and IE11 in our society.

Instead of opening the pdf file, there is a popup that asked what to do with the pdf file - open, save, or save as

I couldn't find a way to set a default action (open)

In earlier versions, it was possible to set the option 'open in browser '.

This option is missing from AR11.

    But why?

How can I adjust the deafult action?

    THX

    Hello together!

the problem was still there, so I decided to change my search.

Fortunately, I found a post from technet, which describes our problem.

The following solution worked in our environment. Documents PDF will now open directly in IE11.

In Windows 7 (also Win8.1), there is no default AttachmentExecute key. For this reason, the checkbox "always ask before opening this type of file" is missing in the download dialog window.
In fact, you can choose to add this key in your registry in according to txt, copy them to Notepad, then renamed as a .reg file. After that, import it into the registry.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

  • Whenever I try to open a pdf file in firefox, he asks me to activate adobe acrobat. How can I stop this from happening?

I have activate acrobat, but it happens always next time I need to open a pdf file. The same problem occurs when I use a quicktime file. I can down down I would allow me every time but one time, next time, I want to use, see, or hear a quicktime file I get the same question. It's very annoying. I went into options and chose the file to use to open rather than have me ask but it does not solve the problem either.

Hello moxiet, please go to the firefox menu > addons > plugins where you can set general preferences for individual plugins (always ask or always activate).

In addition, when I open just the program Acrobat 9 Pro Extender an error message comes up saying that a part of the Capture 3D plugin has been damaged. I went to customer service and they sent me here. Please tell me that this is not another race. I'm running out of patience! I have 10 window.

Acrobat 9 is quite old and not longer supported. The last Windows OS that could use Acrobat 9 has Windows 7 and Acrobat had to have all updates applied.

You need to upgrade to Acrobat DC.
