After the automatic update, its has stopped working
After auto update, my sound no longer works and I checked Device Manager and it is to show that everything works perfectly, even I tried to update the audio player and it rose far also I tried FIX IT shows that there is no problem.
can someone help me in this situation.

I'm trying to install Canon Imagebrowser provided with my camera. Close program ends the installation process but cannot complete. I then get an error box saying Microsoft serivce Auto Update has stopped working and the installation does not complete. Have tried several times and have the same problem. This has happened with the software Imagebrowser - other software on the CD installed fine.
OK... I thought about it. Go to the link below and follow the instructions to manually install Imagebrowser. It worked for me!Good luck...

Hi, I have a Dell 14R with Windows 8, standard configuration. After the automatic updates pushed on 06-04-14, computer laptop start behaving strange - not able to connect to any external website. Home page only on a browser worked. Troubleshooting auto did not find any problems. I restored the computer to the last point saved, generated an error "cannot restore', perhaps due to MacAfee, but solved the problem. Then I disabled the updates for windows, just in case. Did you anyone has a similar experience lately and was able to locate and solved the problem?
I've updated for Windows 8.1 over the weekend, it seems to work great so far.

I think that norton or mcafee may have been preinstalled as trial versions, but I've never actually used them. Unfortunately I can't use the windows Explorer, so I can't check if they are still there.
We will cover all the possibilities.
1. download each of the tools for deletion below, save it to your desktop:
McAfee removal tool: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe
2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).
3. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall all software (including LiveUpdate and Add-ons of Norton) Norton through Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view)
IMPORTANT! => Activate the Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.
IMPORTANT! => Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed the steps #4, #5 and #6 below!
4. right click on one of the files that you saved in #1 above and select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.
5. Repeat step #4 for another removal tool.
-Online use another computer to download the removal tool, if necessary, then transfer it to the computer via CD, DVD, or a USB brand new, never been used (flash drive), or a summer freshly updated in shape.
-Online start the problem in Mode safe computer, if necessary, proceed as above.
-Online after completing all of the above, uninstall AVG Free & reboot. Now do a new installation of AVG Free 9.0, this time select the CUSTOM installation option and do NOT install (uncheck) Linkscanner Search-Shield, Active Surf-Shield, security or the email of crawl components toolbar.

Bootstrapper.exe has stopped working!
Hello! I try to update my Garmin GPS and have saved the program on my desktop. When I open it, the program retrieves and then I get the message: "Bootstrapper.exe has stopped working".
I searched the internet and forums of Microsoft for answers, but I don't know why this is happening. I followed an instruction in the forum by changing the setting of the DEP to just windows and programs and do not apply to ALL. I restarted my computer and I tried to rerun the Garmin update. I got the message again. Y at - it somewhere on Microsoft where you can download just the ' Bootstrapper.exe by itself?
All the updates of Windows and Microsoft are up to date. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium, 32 bit, pack svc 1 & 2. Could someone help me please? I'm pretty knowledgeable with computers, but it frustrated me no end.

I ask you to re - download the update and then try to install it. Its possible this bootstrapper is damaged. If the problem persists, then put the computer in a clean boot state, and then try to update.
May be a third party application is causing the conflict.

If a program is compatible with vista you can try right click on the setup.exe and then by selecting run as administrator to install it
It is not compatible with vista, you can try running it in a previous operating system mode

Once more my automatic update of Vista stopped working today; It looks updates constantly and never ends. Set to automatic update was working yesterday the download and installation of Windows Defender - KB915597 (1.229.1407.0 and 1.229.1054.0 definitions). This issue happened on August 9, 2016 when Windows Defender - KB915597 (definition 1.225.3489.0) has successfully installed on 8 August.
Volume Z replied to my request for help the Oct 1 instruct me to download and run KB3185911 by his specific instructions. This clear up my problem. I tried to run this file (. Windows6 0-KB3185991-x 86.msu) still today after initial Volume Z instructions and received the notice, it did not apply to my system.
The issue was revived by the release yesterday of KB3191203.

First of all, you're not telling the forum what version of Windows, edition and service pack level your system is running. Please do.
Secondly, there is no describe your system. Tell us who makes your system and its model, if a packaged system. If not packed, please tell us who manufactured your motherboard and model. If your video card is another box and not originally shipped with the system, please tell us the manufacturer and model of the adapter.
Finally and most importantly, please read 555375 Microsoft Knowledge base article, how to ask a question.

If there is a system, you will want to download an update of the driver support from the manufacturer of your system model site. Every morning, I get a notice "AAM updates notifier has stopped working." my OS (Windows 7 64-bit). I can't find solutions to this problem or even no evidence that someone else has this problem. This is very weird. I remember trying to run updates on my CS6 at some point and that he cannot somehow, but I've been very busy and not really pay attention. I guess I thought: "I'll do it later." Have Avittone you tried to remove and reinstall the Creative Suite 6? I'd be concerned only to reinstall Adobe Application Manager as there could be other damage to your installation.

If you continue to experience difficulties however I recommend a standard uninstaller and reinstalling the software as your next step.

Step 1: online antivirus scan
Perform an online virus scan to check if your computer is infected.
Step 2: safe mode
Safe mode is useful for troubleshooting problems with programs and drivers that might not start correctly, or that might prevent Windows from starting correctly. If a problem does not reappear when you start in safe mode, you can eliminate the default settings and basic as possible cause device drivers.
Step 3: reset windows update components
Try this step if you found the error during the installation of updates. Open the link and click the fix button.
