After the awakening of system does not see the sound card

Hello

I have a problem with the Hibernate. After the wake-up system do not see my card (creative sound N2 on USB key). I've been in touch with Creative and I know that I need to uninstall my laptop Realtek sound card in BIOS. Of course, I don't see any possibility in the BIOS. In Windows XP Home edition, can I uninstall this sound card, but after reboot this card is itself back installation.

And I want to know how to completely disable Realtek.

Hi Tomasz

One question;
You're talking about on a map of external sound that is connected via USB to the laptop or talk on the Realtek integrated sound card!

I know a similar sound problem on Vista OS.
I read in the knowledge base Microsoft on similar problems;

I have a HP Pavilion notebook. My system does not detect my sd card and I can't eject. Help?

From my understanding, most laptops allow you to simply remove the SD card back.  Others have a simple spring mechanism that requires you to press the memory card slightly until you hear a "click", similar to a click on a retractable pen, which must eject the card.

  • Vista system does not see the files that are on a CD of HP, Intuit and others

CD allows you to install different products does not work on my Vista Ultimate system when the CD has been made by the manufacturer to support Windows and Mac OS.  These CD work in an XP system and a Windows 7 system. I have two optical drives on the Vista system (two allow DVD writing) and installation CD fail the same way in the two discs.

If I share a CD drive on the Windows 7 or XP System I and then place the CD in the drive, I can see all the files on the Vista system.  Another CD that do not also for Mac OS work well in all my systems. So far, a single CD of Intuit and two HP is failing.

I made several complete scans of my system searching for virus using two tools each of Norton and Microsoft and can't find anything.

When I said above fail, I wanted to say that Windows Explorer displays an incomplete list of files on the CD. To be more precise, the list displayed on the Windows vista system does not include autorun.inf or setup.exe. There are also listed things that should not be registered on a Windows install CD. VolumeIcon.icns and background for example. Basically, it seemed something to tell readers that they are on a Mac system.

Earlier today, I solved this problem. It seems that someone (probably me or my son) XPlay 3 was installed on the system. For some reason, this included a copy of MacDrive. I think that MacDrive caused the problem by making the part Apple Mac of the CD to be the only part that was visible to my system. I uninstalled XPlay 3 and everything works fine now.

You must disable the sound embedded a map its separate to be activated.

I just bought an Asus Xonar DGX soundcard.  I have Windows 64-bit home premium.

I checked that card has been authorized by placing it in an old computer Vista, that I had and it was recognized all devices on, Manager listed on other sub devices until I installed the driver and then I was able to install the driver and use it.  Then it was listed under his and I was able to do somethings, that I can't do currently not on the onboard sound to my mother

I tried every piece of advice I could find - I disabled the motherboard audio in the bios first, I even reset the motherboard by removing the battery and still the same error:

Please plugin ASUS xonar peripheral dgx audio

I tried all PCIe slots and same result.

Any advice would be appreciated. I don't know if a card replacement work not better.

    Hello

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

According to the request, I understand that your system is unable to recognize the F: drive after inserting a disc. I appreciate your efforts to solve this problem.

The issue could be due to one of the following reasons - the drive might be bad, might have a cable loose or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Given the clicking of the drive I suggest you to clean the optics on the drive by wiping with a barely damp q-tip.

If there is a possibility of cables in bulk. I suggest to remove the power supply, then make sure that the cables at both ends. Remove and replace firmly. For laptops, you can often clean power and contacts data with a pencil eraser.

    1. Open the Control Panel.
    2. Click on Device Manager and select CD/DVD.
    3. Double click on the drivers tab.
    4. Click update drivers and right click on the Uninstalldisk.
    5. Reboot- it will refresh the default driver stack.

  • After you install a second WD 1 TB my book drive, Windows Explorer does not see the new drive.

    Original title: Signature Collision?

I'm having hard to the installation of a second external drive. I use Windows 7 Ultimate RC. There was a WD 1 TB drive My Book already installed - healthy and works very well. The problem occurred after installing a second WD 1 TB my book reader. I followed all the instructions, pluuging the drive to a USB hub. Windows found the disk, installed drivers and reported the new drive ready for use.

Windows Explorer does not see the new drive. Devices and printers shows 2 external drives from WD. Disk Management shows as 2 drives, but the second disk is offline because of a 'Signature' Collision

Each player works very well if it's the only drive plugged in. "Eject My Book" does not work because a program (or more) are to use the player in the background (Windows or Norton).

I installed the latest firmware and I'm still having this problem. I've been emailing WD with this problem and they are running out of ideas.

    Can anyone help?
    Thank you

    Hey @Sugarwood ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

If the card was already working the first thing that we should try is a system restore. A system restore back the PC to an earlier date without deleting your personal files. It will however updates to software and the driver of the room, uninstall any software recently installed after the date selected.

Do to run a system restore, please see the following guide: use Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8). Try to restore to be for it started and let me know if it works.

To remove the microSD card: you are right. Based on the microSD card should eject as if spring loaded.

    Thank you!
