Original title: corrupt files and running chkdisk utility

I get a message (with the yellow triangle) that "ehtray' under the (x 86) HP program files are corrupted and unreadable and run chkdisk.  I do not know how to run the chkdsk utility, but by running AVAST on the HP (x 86) program I have ID had two "unreadable" files, but cannot delete them.  It first appeared when I installed Webshots Desktop on my laptop, but when I tried to uninstall it, it wouldn't uninstall.  My PC just guard close after having been just a short time, so I need to figure this out!  Any help would be appreciated!

I've recently updated to CC 2015.2.1 but is still worse than Programstart 2.0 is normal, but after the forst in a few clicks it freezes and blocks. And what Adobe application support is worthless! They expect their customers to search, study and solve their problems themselves instead of giving true and good customer. The availability of their telephone support is a bad joke and there is no telephone assistance service, that I could write my problem... Is this the way to treat customers who actually pay a lot of money for the product?

I suggest you to please back in Lightroom 2015.1.1 and please wait for a new update which should fix most of the issues.

  • The effects of top 3 (flame, frame photo and tree) are grayed out in photoshop CC2015. How can I activate them?  Thank you!

The effects of top 3 (flame, frame photo and tree) are grayed out in photoshop CC2015. How can I activate them?

Well, I have a full card on my Mac, I do not have access to the 3D features, so I mounted make flame, frame and tree on my Windows 7 Dell.

First created a new empty file, then 3D > new mesh layer > 3D postcard workspace if requested.

Then I went to the filter > make > Frame and try the command again. Frame, fire and trees is active and is more gray.

Then on the Dell, I went into Photoshop preferences > sync and transferred all settings.  (you can install Photoshop on both machines)

On my Mac, I went into Preferences > settings sync and uploaded everything and rendering filters have been activated on the Mac and they work well.

The point is that you should be able to activate the filters of rendering on your Mac. Otherwise install Photoshop CC 2015 2015 on a second computer, activate the filters it and sync the two as explained above.

    Hi ernestpilkey,

-What is the exact error message that you receive?

    [Moved from comments]

    Hi Hector.

    1. what version of Windows operating system is installed on your computer?

    2. you use software to perform the system backup and restore?

3 is the issue limited to any particular file?

First of all, I suggest you click with the right button on the backup files and check the size of the file in the Properties window.

Try to copy and paste the files to the computer and check if you are able to access the files.

You can also check if the folders are hidden. If the folders are hidden, so you can view folders and check if you are able to access the data.

    1. press the ALT key on the keyboard in any Windows Explorer window to display the toolbar.
    2. click on tools, then Options of folders, and then on the view tab.
    3. then choose "show files and folders". After clicking OK, they appear with the other files.

Hope that the information provided is useful.

  • Restoring lost files (Windows XP)

I met a malicious virus goes on one of the sites Web & it has been cleaned by the Anti-Malware and Microsoft Security Essentials. However, I have lost files and am a hard time to recover.  I tried to restore the computer to an earlier time, but it is not allowing me to do. Just at the same time, the computer has been cleaned by my programs.  But, I can not recover after a certain date and we tried after the tutorials. In addition, on your website, I used this tutorial to access the system restore, but, there is no system restore, but I can get the system restore when I start my computer. I have a XP Professional.

    Hello Annie Clement.

Unfortunately, if it is not a system created for an earlier date, restore point is not a way to create a.  What type of files you are missing?  Possible files, you are unable to find the power have been deleted when you clean your computer from malware and antivirus.

I would also like Shenan Stanley has pointed out, to always backup important data.  I hope this helps.

    Thank you

  • Will there be any problem of reactivation after the XP system restore?

I just do a system restore (if out-of-the-box original factory of the machine) to a disk image.  After starting in Windows XP Pro SP2 I have entered configuration information initial requested as well as (as requested) Windows product key, but I jumped the (reactivation) activation step for now.  The motherboard has been replaced a year ago and I added RAM.  I all provided with the machine when you purchase including an OEM Windows XP SP2 "Recovery disc".  Will I have problems trying to activate/reactivate Windows or do I have to call Microsoft customer service to begin with.  Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

If the replacement motherboard was provided by Dell and Windows XP is as you mentioned a Dell OEM Dell recovery disk is required to provide support by Dell with Microsoft license agreement. If the computer is still in warranty, then support should be free.

Activation should not be a problem as long as the product key belongs to the OEM recovery disk.

  • Windows came back and all the files (music, photos, etc.) have disappeared.

    Hello

    Trying to troubleshoot my roommate.

She took his laptop (VISTA) at the library last night to do some work, when it is returned and connected, turned on, and connected that she noticed that his office and the bottom had returned to her was when she first bought the original settings.

She then open some important files from Uni she needed to work on and found them missing, as well as all his music, itunes application, his photos (shes studying abroad so that they are the priority and not his uni work... lol) and its internet settings

She didn't report to any newspaper by mistake and I asked if an update took place last night at all, but she can't remember. I noticed that the system restore restore from before the event so im guessing that the files are somewhere and that it can us hopefully be reduced.

I have not tried a restore of the system at the moment and I have read on the program 'recova' but have not tried. Thought ID ask first. It uses Vista.

    Any help would be apprecieated

    Thanks :)

    -Tim

OK so I restarted and it connected, this time his profile loaded correctly and everything's fine, FALSE ALARM :)

  • Tired of the throes of finding lost files of office

Is it possible to change the default with MS programs to save the downloaded files office as temporary files?  I know that you can use "Save as", after that you open to save a permanent record, but I have a tendency to forget and am tired of the agony of searching for lost files.  Thank you...

No doubt, you are referring to attachments in mail?

If that's that case mail attachments are allways saved in a temporary location, unless you use "save under", which cannot be changed.

Its always been the case that if you modify an attachment and save, this backup may be lost.

And unless you perminently delete mail all mail & commitment will be kept in your e-mail folders or your archive.

And if you have the habit of perminentaly deletion of mail there are third-party add-ins that can remove all attachments and who save to a location of Documents.

  • Need to backup data before restoring my computer with the dell factory restore?

I experienced some problems with windows so I thought to use the system to dell factory restore.
I have actually three drives 1 is for the n other operating system is for my personal data n the last of them is the recovery partition. And now if I want to restore what should I back up my data on the drive that is not involved with the operating system?
Would there be any deletion of my D drive (not used in the operating system)?
Should I have to backup the personal drive (drive D)?
Or should I just format my C drive (with operating system) and data must be assigned on drive D (personal car)?

You should always back up data.

Dell, ask questions about their recovery process.
Their recovery process will be how you bought, with two only the main road and the recovery partition; but not your data partition

Read the info here on how to use the Dell recovery options:

    Dell recovery options:

And that way if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive.
