After the upgrade to WIN 8, Office and other programs are lost?
After the upgrade to WIN 8, have been uninstalled all of my programs, including Office 2010. Does anyone know if there is a way to get back programs without having to reinstall everything?
If you have selected "keep settings of Windows, files and applications, then you should still have Microsoft Office installed. You have not selected this option during installation?
Besides being able to keep your Windows settings and personal files, you can keep your personal files too during the upgrade to Windows 7. If you choose No, Windows 8 place your files in a folder named Windows.old.
If you have not selected these options, you will need to reinstall your programs since the original installation disc.
To launch your applications, go to the start, screen by pointing your mouse pointer on the left corner of the screen of Windows 8 and click on it.
Do scroll to the right and start your application.
For more information about how to install Windows 8 applications, see the following article:

Since the upgrade to Windows 8 Youtube and other videos flash will not play smoothly
Since I've upgraded to Windows 8 Youtube and other flash videos will not play smoothly. When I press play, the video freezes on an image and the sound is fine but the image is locked for several seconds. So if it starts to play, he is so rough its not watchable. If I pause the video and let it buffer for a bit and press play again it works usually smooth for 3-4 seconds in the rough again goes.
This is the case with IE, Firefox and Chrome. My computer is a HP DV7 3060 64-bit with 4 GB of Ram.
I have tried to update drivers video, impossible to find the best drivers.
Any help would be really appreciate as I really get annoyed by this and do not want to go back to Windows 7.
Here are the video drivers for your graphics card.

One of my Office files contains three different Firefox configuration files created for upgrade to newer versions. These precedents may "Setup" deleted files without affecting the latest version I am running?
And the question of succession: immediately after the installation of a new version, this "Setup" file can be deleted?
A "Setup" of Firefox is not necessary once Firefox is installed. So yes, all files "setup" of Firefox can be removed.

using xp SP3. This happens every day since the upgrade to the new versions. Power upgrade successfully and use for the rest of the day. Then, after a stop in the night and when restarting in AM, older version opens.
Without trying something new since my last post, for reasons I can't understand, the issue is resolved. I've waited several days (to respond) to confirm everything works correctly, and for the moment, everything is good. THANK YOU for all that you said. This was my first use of the forum and I appreciate your time and your generosity.

Envy 14 CTO will not shut, forces hard stop, after the upgrade to win 10 anniversary
After a long wait in Win 10 the Envy 14 finally began to sleep and shut down properly. As soon as the update of the anniversary has been installed, we went back to the questions of the soul. System not completely stops and freezes to force a hard reboot, after that the restart that he stop or sleep is selected manually. If the system can accommodate on its own, then it is more closed or sleep without rebooting.
Course on all drivers and troubleshooting power back shortly to all default values.
Hello
Try the following.
Open settings and select System. Select food and sleep, and then click additional power settings - in the next window, click on "Choose what the power button" in the left pane.
In the next window, click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable" (close), then Remove the check mark from the box against 'Turn on a quick start (recommended) '. Click on the button Save the settings, and then close the open windows and restart the laptop.
When windows has reloaded, download the driver directly from Intel IMEI on the following link, unzip the and run the installer.
Once the installation is complete, restart the laptop.
When the machine rebooted, re - activate the quick start and restart the computer once more - let Windows take over completely for a few minutes before checking.
Kind regards

This morning, my Windows 7 installed the last updated. When I started again subsequently, Internet Explorer (which I hate!) my default browser and Firefox worm. 21 stated that it should be updated to 22. I did, and all my browsing history and bookmarks disappeared. I found my file backup bookmarks, but it is empty. It's as if I never had a previous version of Firefox and am completely new. Any suggestions on how I can recover my favorites?
I found a solution for me. I find my old bookmarks folder in a cloud backup program I use and restored from there. First time I needed to use it. Still don't like the update of Windows has done to my Firefox, Picasa and some other programs!

Indicator WiFi P70-A-L1M satellite will remain on after the upgrade to Win 8.1
Hello.
After update to 8.1 Windows wireless indicator is still on (red light), no matter if the WiFi is really turned on or off. When I press the f12 key, WiFi passes in Airplane Mode, I have a message in Windows, everything is ok.
But the light still. In Windows 8, it worked as it should.
All the drivers are up to date.Is there a way to solve it?
> In Windows 8, it worked as it should.
> All drivers are up to date.
You said that the drivers are up to date. This means that you have installed and updated every driver and Toshiba utility as mentioned in the instructions for installation of Win 8.1?
These installation instructions are on the EU Toshiba driver one page it shows you the order of installation of driver/tools.In addition, you should check if the BT and WiFi has been disabled properly.
Why? Because this indicator lights up red as if BT or Wlan is enabled.Without doubt, BT or Wlan is switched on and then the light turns red.

C2664 errors after the upgrade of client db 10g and 11g
Hi, after upgrading customer db 10g and 11g, the compiler gave errors error C2664:
/************************************************************
AddCxrCh.cpp (2071): error C2664: 'sqlglm': cannot convert parameter 1 from 'char' [513] in ' unsigned char *'
Types of art are not related. conversion requires reinterpret_cast, C style cast or function-style cast
make: * [AddCxrCh.obj] error 2
************************************************************/
The same code was compiled correctly when you use the db 10g client. I know that I can easily correct this error by changing the code, but there is more than a sqlglm used instructions. I'm looking for a way that will solve the problem by changing the settings of the compiler.
Thank youHello
There is a change between 10g and 11g. It is described in "Oracle 11g Pro * C nsqlprep Sqlglm issues [ID 860382.1]". The document, you can find on Metalink, aka Oracle Support.

Upgrade to 10.0.01 and now things are lost.
I just upgraded my iPad to 10.0.01 software. I didn't know my settings would be lost, and later, I seem to have lost, emails, passwords and probably other things. How can I get my return parameters? How can I return my docs and emails? I want that not to upgrade. It was stupid.
This is why you're supposed to back up data on your iDevices by connecting to a computer running the latest version of iTunes or backup of all your data to iDevices to iCloud to Apple, first, before doing any update/upgrade to major update of the system.
If you do this, the data are gone.
I'm sorry.
