• Drive external DRIVE not detected (2 PCs), after turning off the PC during the error checking

  I ran properties/tools/error-check on a (regularly used to back up this PC XP) external HARD drive. After 2 days, error checking was still running and not even 1/3 way 4th Phase but I need PC.   You need to contact support with your Cisco router.  It looks like it might have been reset and the installation needs again.

  I have Windows Vista, Dell Vostro A860, HP PSC 1410 all-in-one printer.  The HP CD work well with Vista.  The printer repeatedly re - installs itself, making it necessary to go into the settings to choose my preferences each time. I did download a fix from HP that has first requires that you uninstall the original software, and then download and apply the fix.  However, the patch will not install unless you have a software for its difficulty.  It is a cycle race.   Any ideas?

  You seem to have a problem with your bluetooth icon. If you cannot match something you can try to remove the device and then put it back. I tried it didn't work.   Just in case, run disk utility.

  Open utility disk located in Applications/Utilities

  Then select the disk to boot on the left and then select the first aid tab and then click run.

  If disk utility indicates that the disc seems to be OK, you are finished. Otherwise, you must repair the disk.

• Should I turn off the keyboard and mouse after use or leave?

  I find it annoying to switch the keyboard power continually because of the password on and off.   Wouldn't be much difference to the life of the battery to let both mouse and keyboard lights permanently?

  I have never turned off the mouse or the keyboard. The batteries have been used for about a month, with the mouse to 60% and the keyboard to 90%.
