After uninstalling also remove files?

Hi all.

My application uses files to store parameters.

I would like to delete these files once a user uninstalls the application.

Is this possible?

So I won't try to invoke the uninstall process (because then I know the answer.) Instead, I would like as my application to clean up after itself when leaving.

This is possible if you use the persistent store.  There is no support for this if you write files using a FileConnection.

A couple of days, I uninstalled the games that came with my Asus U36S laptop and after that my Windows Explorer began to crash and restart - and recovery system does not work for some reason any.

At first I thought it was a coincidence, so I tried to understand what could be the problem. I checked the third-party applications, virus, malware, tried clean restarts, restart in safe mode and so on and so forth. But the problem persists.

After all the discussions Forum I could find on the situation through, I finally noticed that someone else had the same problem and solved it in re - install game files (OT here, final note: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-system/windows-7-home-premium-corrupted-file-pintlgbimd/f39e62df-aaf0-4bfd-adbd-cd8e874a5297?page=2).

  • I need to specify that you can or cannot remove files when an application is uninstalled.

Here is the conversation last Friday, I had with my product manager:

PM: We must be able to clear completely all files when a user uninstalls our application, so we can ensure that we are not starting from files on their devices.

Me: OK, it sounds although we install only a single file, a SQLite file in fact. I would like to create a prototype.

    PM: excellent!

Me: OK, give it a sense... Let's see, I can use the CodeModuleListener Interface and moduleDeletionsPending. Good deal, I can go home on time tonight.

[Wait a minute, that doesn't work.]

    [Debug, registration.]

    Hmmm...

[I will check the support community. Oh, ok, I found the following.]

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/how-to-delete-files-during-uninstallation/m-...

    WHAT?

[I can't uninstall one * beep * file when a user uninstalls the app?]

[I need to create a secondary application that uses the CodeModuleListener and moduleDeletionsPending to uninstall the SQLite file used by the primary application!]

    This isn't?

PM: The prototype will uninstall go prototype?

ME: Uh, good... I will do tomorrow morning Tuesday for sure.

PM: OK, have a good evening.

    ME: Yes, you too.

ME: [not go home on time and be completely stunned by the fact that a file cannot be uninstalled when an application is deleted.]

So my question is, before I say my product manager that I can not uninstall a single file... a small file when a user uninstalls the application, is ALL way to have an uninstalled file when a user uninstalls the application without having to use a secondary application?

If this isn't the case, it's incredibly stupid!

  • How to stop Wampmanager.exe and easyphp to run after uninstall wampserver

I've been with wampserver (apache, mysql, and php) for a while now. I needed upgrade of wamp and I am well aware that I need to completely uninstall it before installing the new version, I did. Unfortunately for me, until I installed the new version, after that Setup and it has not worked, I uninstalled, redownloaded, tried again. Finally, verified the wamp forum was packed with complaints about the x 64 version was a corrupted file. So I installed the 32 bit version to use temporarily. The next day, the new version has been released. So I installed and decided to check out the forum before going any further.

No more complaints about the bugs. Finally, I decided that since the new wampserver has so many bugs, I'd rather stay here. I installed EasyPHP. Then I saw wampmanager.exe (0 2 services performed) in my taskbar properties. so I uninstalled easyphp.

Long story short, I think that somewhere throughout this frustration, I forgot to stop the server (wampserver) before uninstalling. And Yes, I cleaned my registry of all things wamp after each uninstall.

Now, when I click on the taskbar properties, I see wampmanager.exe and EasyPHP, but neither are installed. (Wampmanager.exe initially says '0 2 running services', but I was able to reinstall, and then stop the service and uninstall.) Now only says: wampmanager.exe). I tried a system restore, reinstall, uninstall. How can I get these 2 to stop smoking? Help please!

    Any received much notice!

    Hello

Optical reader is present in Device Manager? If so, then remove it and restart your machine. After that, the player must be reinstalled automatically.
If this isn't the case, then perform a check of the complete registry with some cleaning of recording software.
