after update to adobe flash and restart firefox for mac, as requested, cannot restore the previous session

using macbook pro with os 10.7.5, was recommended to update adobe flash in firefox (22.0). did, which required closing and restarting firefox during the flash update. When you're done, firefox will automatically open to the adobe flash window and restore previous session was grayed out. can not know how to find and restore the tabs that I had used. responses and related issues is not a solution. my settings are all normal and do not seem to report any with the problem. on the contrary, it seems to be the closing and reopening of firefox associated with the flash update that nuked all memory of my last session. is there a solution?

I found my own solution to my problem! first of all, don't QUIT FIREFOX - to ensure this unwanted session does not become "last session". Instead, open a new window (command-N). in my case, he opened my usual default URL and, while in this window (whether before or after the closing of the first window browser that opened automatically after the update of adobe flash), the option 'restore previous session' in the menu historical reappeared! clicked on it and, therefore, the things everything worked normally.

  • Why Firefox doesn't save my tabs from the previous session although I chose to do it in the options?

Firefox does not save my tabs from the previous session, although I have chosen in options, to save my tabs from the previous session.

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so it is no longer necessary for the dialog box asking if you want to save the current session.

Use ' file > exit ' or ' Firefox > output "If you want to restore multiple windows.

You can use "Firefox > history > restore previous Session ' to get the previous session at any time.

There is also a button 'Restore previous Session' on the default on: Home home page.

    Another possibility is to use:

The xtra74pv.default file is the Firefox profile folder, if the file is in the right place and needed to be moved.

If you have an older version of the sessionstore.js file from before the crash then you need to replace the current sessionstore.js with the old copy to see if brings back the lost tabs.

THANKS Mozilla AND VOLUNTEER FOR the EXISTING

Private browsing mode is designed to keep not take of your browsing history. This allows users to browse the internet without their history to be saved on his computer. For this reason, you cannot restore a session that was made in private browsing mode, the session is permanently deleted from the closing of Firefox.

If you want to have the ability to restore previous sessions, please use Firefox in normal browse mode.

I keep trying to put Firefox to "show my windows and tabs from last time", but he continues to show this http://search.us.com/v/2/?guid={A665B7FB-CC63-4DF6-A03A-AE7DF57CDAF0} when I start. I'm fed up. I uninstall

I think it's because of software (adware or virus) on your computer or Web sites you visit. Many of these change home pages without the consent of the user as a way to aggressive advertising or people of the scam. Generally, these target your browser by default, so even if you go to Maxthon, you might get some problem. To avoid this, you must use anti-virus software to find viruses and adware, then remove them.

Even with the adware you can probably always restore your previous session by clicking on the "Firefox" > 'History' > ' restore previous Session ' (or 'History' > 'restoration of previous Session"If you do not have the"Firefox"button).

  • Cannot install the update of Adobe Flash and am beyond frustrated.

For several weeks/months, I had a problem, install the latest version of Adobe Flash. My system specs are as follows:

    AMD 64 Dual - Core Processor 6000 + 3.0 GHz processor

    4.0 GB RAM

    Windows 7 ultimate (64 bit)

    Internet Explore 11

My problem started when they were updated to the new version of the program. He told me that I needed to install the update and so I went to the site and began the process of download, as I have done 1000 times before. Only this time, after I ran the program that I started having what I have my frustration has nicknamed "the gray area of death." when it comes to the part where the installation is supposed to to start you are supposed to to see the progress of the installation bar all I get is a solid shaded area with no bar in the middle. This has happened several times and I don't know what in the world to do about this. I went online and I tried to follow the many guides all with the same result.

Today, I went through my computer and close my firewall/antivirus protection/malware (even to the point of completely uninstall some programs) without success. I tried to update existing software. I tried to uninstall and install a new 100%. All the these have the same result. I know that is not the fact that I have a 64 bit OS because your site identifies it as a 64-bit system, so I should get the good update. I've tried everything I can think of (apart from wiping my entire disk which I won't do) and I'm at the end of my rope. Please help me solve this problem.

    Frustrated

    Hi lord_knikon,

I understand your frustration.  We have had several users report, however, we have not been able to reproduce.  This happens with online Installer downloaded from get.adobe.com/flashplayer.  We have not seen this with offline installation programs, posted at the bottom of this help page, http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html.  Please try to use the Offline Installer and you should be able to get Flash Player installed on your system.

  • My IE homepage Google recognizes an Adobe Flash and my Firefox Google needs its own. Also, I can wish to cancel my Firefox entirely... something that conflicts w/one program Mozilla Thunderbird internal functionality, and/or Gmail e-mail? Thank you.

Thank you for reading this question as it is more: I lost my computer internal e-mail function Thunderbird and was new and didn't know how to put Yahoo or another in this function. I signed for Mozilla Firefox for my Toshiba PC laptop, really liked, but don't use it really. I have restored my Thunderbird program, using Gmail for IT... Yahoo had failed. If I decide to delete my Firefox will only malaffect my Mozilla Thunderbird? In addition, for a reason unknown to me, my Firefox does not recognize using the Adobe's Flash in my computer and requires its own...' usual? (I just deleted one of the two.) Thank you. Lynn

First of all, Firefox and Thunderbird are separate programs. You can use one or the other or both. If you decide to uninstall Firefox, which should not have any ill effect on Thunderbird, but of course, it's a good idea to make the regular backups of your computer in case.

Second, Internet Explorer uses a Flash owner drive, you don't need another one for Firefox. If you visit Adobe 'about' page using Firefox, you can push the plugin appropriate for you.

Upgrade to 8 FF (of 3.6) seem to go smoothly, as did restart on Acer desktop running Windows 7 Home Premium. But I get "reboot needed to complete the installation of FF" whenever I try to start and seq. tried uninstalling FF using the uninstall from the control panel and uninstall in my Mozilla folder - get the same message "Restart required". Tried to reinstall FF - same message. In short, totally unusable FF - and I'm starting to like Google Chrome.
