  Airport utility shows green points on the AirPort Extreme and the Internet, but my my Mac mini does not connect to the internet. IPhones and 2 portable Windows connect very well, and see all the devices on the home network. The problem occurred after that PSI has swapped an ancient for a Comtrend CT5072T DSL modem. I tried to stop and things start back up as if the installation of the internet for the first time. No joy.

  Also updated the firmware of the airport; no change.

  ISP guy was friendly but puzzled. He started at the top floor level Tech, so I do not know when I hear back.

  Network preferences may be damaged.

  Open the Finder. In the Finder menu bar, click go > go to folder

  Type or copy paste the following text:

  / Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

  Click OK, and then move all files in the SystemConfiguration folder to the trash.

  Restart your Mac. See if that makes a difference.

  Your Mac will generate a new SystemConfiguration folder for you.

  Then open AirPort Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilitiies

  Make sure that both Internet and Extreme are green.

  6. restart your PC and test.
  
  Test another iPhone connection:

  Thunderbird ran an auto update yesterday. Then it just stopped working. It does not connect with the Comcast email server. An error message appears "Unable to connect" and "the connection was refused when attempting to contact live.mozilla.messaging.com.   The problem solved itself, Thunderbird has just started working. I followed the thread suggested by Christ1 and found none of it applied. No malware, no browser, no certificate error security block. I did, however, in Thunderbird, under Tools/Options/General uncheck the button for "When Thunderbird launches, show the Start Page in the message box." I do know that if this helped, Thunderbird still do not access Comcast mail for hours after that, even with several stops and restarts.

• Atheros AR9285 in CQ61-410US wireless network card does not connect to the Internet after the update of the adapter driver

  I have a Compaq Presario CQ61-410US (WA974UA) which is equipped with an Atheros AR9285 B/G/N wireless network adapter.   The laptop Internet access was fast and stable when using a Wi - Fi N.   Its pilot AR9285 was the initial version of the 8.0.0.172 factory.  But because there were so many subsequent driver updates, I've updated the display driver version from the support page 8.9.9.316 (sp48755.exe).  However, after updating the driver, I immediately lost Internet access.   The laptop is running Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1 and 64-bit.

  The driver seems to be installed OK, but it does not connect to the Internet.  Here is the status of the driver: 1) in Device Manager it appears OK and is presented as working properly.  (2) in the results of IPCONFIG/all, it there is no entry for the wireless adapter and without IP addresses are affected.  Here are the results of the IPCONFIG/all command:
