There are security software such as Avast and Kaspersky that intercepts secure connections and sends its own certificate.
If you have Avast then try disabling the analysis of HTTPS in the Web Shield, Avast.

If you cannot inspect the certificate by "I understand the risks", then try this:
Open the "Add Security Exception" this URL chrome by pasting into the address bar of Firefox and check the certificate:
- chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.XUL
In the field of location of this window, type or paste the URL of the Web site.
- retrieve the certificate via the button 'Get certificate '.
- Click on the "view..." button. "to inspect the certificate in the certificate display
You can check details such as the issuer and the certificate chain in the Details tab of the certificate display.
Check which is the issuer of the certificate.
If necessary, you can attach a screenshot that shows the display of the certificate.

After updating Firefox, most of my available search engines top right changed the United States to the UK (except Google I'd rather not use) versions. I'm unable to retrieve Yahoo USA or Amazon or Ebay search engines.
The sounds that you got the version of Firefox GB with the update.
You can download en version and uninstall the current version of en - us and install the US version.
Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 12.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Do NOT remove the data personal when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because all profile files will be deleted and you will also lose your personal data such as bookmarks and passwords from other versions of Firefox profiles.
Your bookmarks and other profile data stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

What version of firefox can I use with windows me?
What version of Firefox can I use with windows me? Where can I get?
The last version that worked with Windows Me was Firefox 2.0.0.20, you can get it from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/2.0.0.20/win32/pt-PT/
It's the same language you are using, if you need a different language, go to the top-level directory, and then select the folder for the language of your choice.

After updated my Firefox to v.32.0.3, trying to comment or upvote a comment on YouTube results in a pop-up window brief which closed until it has loaded, then on the page YouTube refreshes. I tried to run Firefox with disabled modules, but the problem remains. Commenting on using a different browser (Chrome) works perfectly. Has anyone else encountered this problem? A few tips on how to solve it?
Thank you!
I was see this problem for many weeks now on 3 different computers - running Windows 8.1, 7 and Vista, respectively. I'm happy to report that I found the solution. In the Options-> privacy dialogue, you make an Exception for the 3rd party Cookies from Google.com. It's sad that OP should go through all this irrelevant advice.

Firefox keeps telling me that it prevented reloading or redirecting pages, and even if I click ALLOW, it's of no help - the problem is constant and makes weather pages, pages of radar and useless forums... It also prevents update news pages.
Thanks - solved: (not instantly, but after the two firefox and my iMac was restarted).
The annoying notifications stopped instantly, but firefox is still prevention and updates has not loaded (proven by the clock on Wunderground radar). After the reboot, use the (arrested) notifications and updates. -Death (aka wildturkey, morturkey, wildturkeysm)
