  I had to put the music on another phone as well... but I'm not accidentally destroy their music too.

  If I understand your post right, you were unable to create a new playlist in iTunes using the incremental copy feature and your songs not purchased in iTunes had exclamation points and have also disappeared from your iPhone. My personal iTunes library is filled with a lot of music that has not been actually purchased on iTunes and I'd hate for them to disappear on me, so I can certainly understand why this would cause concern it.

  When the songs show the exclamation marks in iTunes, it means that iTunes is not able to locate the music files on your computer. More than likely, if you have connected your iPhone to iTunes it began a synchronization and given that these music files could not be found when it synchronized, it their removed from the phone.

  To answer your first question, Yes, it would be possible to recover your music. However, to make the music come back really depends on where this music. If your music not purchased is stored on an external hard drive, you will need to have this hard drive connected to the computer so that the music to work with iTunes.
