Windows XP operating system does not accept the product key on the COA label
Hi all
After moving to get my laptop fixed I decided it was for long a new copy of Windows XP.
After formatting the hard drive, I can't find my recovery cd!So I decided to borrow my CD Windows XP Professional of brothers, which I'm sure that Service Pack 2 has built in.
When you try to use my product key on the COA label under the laptop he simply refuses to accept it. :(
Any ideas? I use the wrong version of windows? The label says 'Windows XP Professional 1-2CPU'
Can I get the Toshiba recovery cd or that would be too expensive.Any advice would be great, thank you very much.

Yes, it is possible. You can order the recovery of the AEP CD in your country and it should be cheapI m not 100% sure why the key to the COA label cannot be accepted. Maybe you laptop came with XP Home Edition only and that is why it does not work with XP PRO.

Reinstall Windows 7 does not accept the product key
Just bought a new PC to replace my crashed. Install Windows 7 from the DVD I got for my old PC. It does not accept the product key. Think it's because it was a copy of Windows 7 upgrade. What can I do about this that I can't downgrade to Windows XP. I have the original and the product key for Windows XP disks.
Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.
When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer
Click on properties
Scroll down to the Windows Activation
Click the link x days before activation.
Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.
Enter the product key
Click next
Select the Activation of the phone
Click Next when you enter your key page
Select your country
Click Next, call the number listed
Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.
Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent
They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it
Click next to complete the activation.
However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.
15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.
So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

Original title: product key error Windows 7
Hello!
I need to clean my office completely. However, I had installed on this PC by a company, with that I can't connect, and the windows Web site does not accept my product key. I create a back-up of installer of windows 7 on my flash drive, but because the site will not accept my product key, I can't do it.
Any help?
Step 1: Download a copy of Windows 7:
For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.
It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.
Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:
How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?
Make sure you scroll down and read the section:
What to do if you cannot get your manufacturer recovery media, refuse to use or to buy it or the Microsoft Software Recovery Website does not work?
Step 2: Perform a custom installation, see Windows 7 section of the following article how to perform a custom installation:

activation of Windows 8 after clean installation does not accept the product key
Hi all
I had a system to dual-boot with windows 8 and Ubuntu and tried to delete the Ubuntu but the computer does not start, I tried to fix the mbr and were wrong.
I then did a clean install of windows 8, but will not accept my product key. Before the clean install, I formatted the hard drive.
I can do or do I have to buy another windows 8 pro?

Unless you have purchased the version System Builder DVD Win 8, you bought an upgrade.
You must install the operating system you upgraded and then re-upgrade using your Installer to win 8 and PK. -
Re-loaded Windows 8, it does not accept the product key.
Original title: Windows activation problem 8.
My computer, running W8.0 of DVDs I bought died. Dead, dead, dead.

PS: My W8 DVD is a DVD upgrade.
You have an 'Upgrade' product that requires the installation of an earlier version of Windows before installing Windows 8.
You could try phone activation but no guarantees:
