After you install an update, I have a new toolbar.

Former title: download the latest applications

Since my last Windows update I got a toolbar, blue polka dot circling which States: download the latest applications. It is continuous and the download never happens.

It has not interfered with anything up to now that I know, but it shouldn't be there.

What can be done to fix this?

Hello

1. you remember you installed upgrading this toolbar?
2. What is the name of this toolbar?
3. where is installed this toolbar? It is in Internet Explorer or in another location or application?

If it's on internet explore you can consult the following suggestions.

Internet Explorer has several toolbars, including the menu bar, the Favorites or links bar, and the command bar. There is also the address bar, where you can type a web address, and the status bar which displays such messages to a Web page download progress. All of these toolbars can be customized in one way or another.

I. here is how you can hide a toolbar:
You can show or hide the Menu bar, Favorites bar or links, command bar, and status bar.
Here's how:
a. open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button, and then click Internet Explorer.
b. click Tools, point to toolbars and then click the toolbar you want to show or hide.

II. here is how you can remove or add a toolbar:
a. to add or remove modules, click on tools in the command bar and select Manage Add-ons menu drop-down. (b) in this menu, you can view and manage a list of different Types of add-on, you got installed in the browser.
c. to add others, click on find it more providers... option at the bottom of the window.
d. to remove an add-on, highlight the one you want to remove and select delete or select Disable if you want to leave it installed but makes it inactive.

I hope this helps.

Thank you, and in what concerns:

  • High CPU use/Slow Performance after you install the updates of Windows

    I run Vista Business 32-bit.

After you install many Windows updates in the last few days, I've known very slow performance after the system worked for a while. Resource monitor shows 70-100% CPU usage, even when you run all the apps (that I know of). This makes everyhting grind to a halt, same trip that the mouse jerky movements. I ran several complete system with McAfee anti virus scans and not found problems (using the latest software). The detail showed the so-called ", PID4 NT kernel and system" using 18% avialable CPU capacity, but this process is not always shown to use much more capacity when the slow performance occurs. Nothing else don't use much capacity CPU, I see.

More recently, the capacity of the CPU became crazy, jumping from zero to 100% usage in a back a suite oscillation. When I shut down and restart, performance improves, but erodes little by little over time.

Is this a sign of a virus, or is it a problem with the recent Windows updates or some kind of conflict with my software such as McAfee? How do I tell me what to do? Anyone else have this problem with the recent Windows updates?

    Help!  Thank you!!

  • Satellite Pro T130 - problems in sleep mode after you install the update wireless

After installing the 3G modem & updates on day of Wireless manager from 29 September, my laptop began to have trouble waking sleep mode. Most of the time I had to hard stop. I solved currently the changing options issued for the "sleep mode" in the Panel, for the most part by turning off the advanced features (hybrid sleep, sleep, sleep network adapters usb). However, I want to solve the problem no doubt, as the current options require more time to enter the mode 'sleep'.

My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite Pro T130 running under Windows 7 64-bit.

    Please help us :-)

You have installed the updates recommended by Tempro?
You can send us you have installed versions?

I assume that with the old versions you didn t have this problem?

The laptop stays on this screen, with the cursor froze with a loading icon, for about half a minute until the screen shuts off and reboots the system, put the system in a loop, I can't on.

I tried: turning off on and powered. using advanced boot options to open the system to all types of 'Safe Mode' and leaving the laptop for some time before trying to turn on the system again. All these things have not worked and the system remains in the lock down.

  • Unable to connect to the Internet after you install the update

My computer crashed this afternoon. I restored it since restoration, but Firefox lost disk and my Trend Micro antuvirus.  I downloaded the two products, but when I try to install them, they are trying to reconnect to the internet to complete the download.  Or the program is able to do.  I can log on the Internet and to allow them there have turned off the Windows Firewall and Windows Defender, suspecting one of them was blocking the remote connection.  I am running Windows Vista and IE8.  When I Windows Update, I lose all internet connections and have to use system restore to go back before the updates.

    Original title: remote connections

    Hi Cauvagee,

    ·        You are able to access remote desktop connection now after you disable the firewall and Windows Defender?

It seems that one of the update is at the origin of the problem of Internet connectivity. You can follow the steps below and check it it helps you solve the problem.

    Step 1

You can access to view the history of update on your computer and the Coachman, who was the last update that was installed when this problem occurred and post back the details of the update.

To view the update history, follow the steps below:

    a. open the control panel (all items view), and click the Windows Update icon.

    b. click on the link to view update history.

    Step 2

Check out who are the updates which has been installed on the computer before that the problem began, later, uninstall it and check if that helps.

    1. Open installed updates by clicking on theStart button, clickingControl Panel, clickingPrograms and then underPrograms and features, clickingView updates installed. Note the number KB for the updates have been installed before this problem started.
    2. Select the update that has been installed and uninstall the updates one by one and check the update which is at the origin of the problem.

    Step 3

Once you take note of the update that causes this problem, you can download the stand-alone version of the update on your desktop and try to install it manually and check to see if it helps you to solve the problem of internet access. To download the standalone version of windows updates follow the steps below:

    a. take note of the update with the Ko only when your computer tries to update and install it.

    b. visit the following Microsoft Web site:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/Search.aspx

    c. search by downloading the update.

    d. save it on the desktop.

    e. try to install it manually.

If the problem persists after you have installed the stand-alone version of update, you can try to start the computer in safe mode with network and check if you can connect to the internet and post back the result. To boot to the desktop in safe mode keep tapping key F8 during restart. Once you see the option to start it in safe mode with select network and press ENTER.

Access the link to learn more about how to start the computer in safe mode:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

I hope this helps. Let us know the result.

    2. Select "Safe Mode with network" and then press ENTER.

  • After you install the update, I get script error box popping up

original title: after installing the update I get error script to appear, box what the sam Hill I do?

I installed an update that recommended the bulk of security on my computer and now I get a script on the screen error message. When I tried to install a gamebar, so that the site wasn't ready yet so my update was unable to download the toolbar. This seems to be the script error that keeps popping up on my screen. I'm not an expert, far from it, in computer science, so I hope someone out there can help you.

Thanks for your quick response and I appreciate the suggestion, but the person getting impatient that I am, I went to the backup and restore functionality and configure the computer a moment before I started to have trouble and that seems to have solved the problem. If I have problems in the future I will definitely use this site to ask questions, thanks again.

  • Re: Portege R500: controller button does not work after you install the update

After you have installed the latest version of Toshiba Value added Package, the two buttons (toshiba assist, and backlight power) do not work properly: they open instead a window of Firefox.

I guess there is something to configure in the section "Optimizing" Toshiba Assist.
When I open the program "Toshiba buttons functions" (sorry for the puny, Spanish translation, it is called: "functions of Toshiba botones") all entries are empty and I have to enter the Url of the program supposed to turn off the backlight of the screen of my LCD...
I have no idea where to find this executable.

    Can someone help me?

Why you n t use the OS restore option?
The operating system supports the option of system restore and this helps to put the system in the previous point.

Check, maybe it helps to get the old version of the Toshiba Package Value added.
