Agilent 34401 react is not the * IDN? query

I connected an Agilent 34401 via a GPIB cable. I saw the instrument in MAX. Her having a GPIB 9 address. But the device does not respond to the * IDN? query. What could be the reason?

Implementation of command language? Page 165 of the instruments user manual. If you don't have it on paper, you can download it at http://cp.literature.agilent.com/litweb/pdf/34401-90004.pdf

  • Understand the * idn? query

    Hi all

    I just started using labview recently. I'm doing a vi that can connect to the oscilloscope, make measurements and save the data in a database.

    I have a VI in which the user can choose to activate up to 3 litters. Once it allows him, after you have entered the name of resource of Visa and scope model, I have a "sonnections chk" button which in effect 'ping' the instrument. For this I use the self test drivers found on ni.com/idnet. As far I could make out, self test drivers send the * tst? query.

    At the moment I am providing 2 varieties of scope and the agilant 34401 tektronix 1k2k series. the driver of the respective self-test according to which of the 2 user selects from a drop down list that I provided, is launched.

    Since I want to expand and include more extensive in the future, I thought universal way to check the connection. I read on the * idn? Query in the programmer of tek manual. I think that it is compatible with many instruments. I wasn't able to find any resource bad for the same thing and so I have a few questions.

    (1) what tools all support this request?

    (2) right now I use usb to connect, but it will make a difference if I use rs232 or gpib and then run the same query?

    (3) even if it is unrelated, the drivers scopes to ask for the run configuration. AFAIK in usb, which is fixed to the right connections?

    Thank you.

    The run configuration will get used only if the name of resource VISA points to a resource series.

  • Fingerprint reader does not react anymore while the software seems to work (Thinkpad E530 Windows 10)

    I used logg in via the reader of fingerprints (windows 10) with no problems, now the fingerprint reader does not react anymore when I pull the finger. I managed to remove all the passwords in the password manager (still not sure about it as I don't really understand how all the components work together) hoping that would solve the problem. Not the fingerprint reader software keeps asking me to register a new finger. Everything seems to work fine (I can pick a finger to be registered, type my password windowns) until I asked me to draw the finger on the fingerprint reader: nothing happens! The indicator that shows how the finger was scanned shows nothing at all. Looks like the software works, but the fingerprint reader itself is dead. However, looking into the information system the "TouchStrip Fingerprint Sensor' (WBF mode advanced) seems to work fine.

    Help, please. I don't have any idea how to find out what's not here.

    Thank you very much for the tip! He works in fact :-). Even if it does not seem logical to me, as I never put it in place a front pin - and fingerprint reader work very well even without PIN code. But who cares - the main thing is it works now! So thanks a lot again :-)!

  • Classic report shows wrong "could not parse the SQL query: ORA-00942" error after migrating app to the new environment

    After migrating my APEX 4.1 application to a new environment, one classic report displays a "cannot parse the SQL query: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" error when the page is displayed. Change the region to report SQL source to somehow (e.g., remove spaces, changing the order of the variables in the WHERE clause) immediately solves the problem, but by returning to the source of the region causes the report error again (the source region valid code without error, however).

    Throw the error message:

    Select v.id,

    v.Col1

    of view_vw v

    where (: P1_FILTER is null or)

    v.col2 = :P1_FILTER)

    Do not throw error:

    Select v.id,

    v.Col1

    of view_vw v

    where (:P1_FILTER is null or)

    v.col2 = :P1_FILTER)

    Changing the order of column in the report has the same effect; i.e. He arranges, but return back to the original column order causes the error to display.

    It's as if a cached result for the correct select statement used by the report is displayed. However, the application does not use the caching of page/region. Any ideas of what could be the cause?

    He solved. Ultimately, all that was necessary was to clear the DB cache using:

    alter system flush shared_pool;

  • Table error ' can not analyze the SQL query!

    Hi all

    I created a view on my database called VIEW_MEMBER_PARTIC_PROJECTS

    If I run a query showing the results of the view:

    SELECT * FROM VIEW_MEMBER_PARTIC_PROJECTS

    I get the following data

    ProjectsParticipants
    131 S
    241
    319
    43
    53
    61
    72

    Now, I wanted to represent this diagram in the APEX so I created a graphic region and entered the Source query generator and the manufacturer produces the following code

    Select null, label projects, value1 Participant link

    of "SCHEMANAME." "" VIEW_MEMBER_PARTIC_PROJECTS ".

    With this code, I get an error:

    Cannot parse the SQL query!

    Select the link null, label projects, value1 "SCHEMANAME Participant." "" VIEW_MEMBER_PARTIC_PROJECTS ".

    Some queries can be run when you run your application, if your query is syntactically correct, you can save your query without validation (see options below the source of the query).

    The code looks OK, but I do not see to save options as the error code is mentioned.

    No one knows how to fix this?

    Thank you

    JaReg wrote:

    I finally found the problem.

    I looked at the code for the view and changed the start of:

    CREATE OR REPLACE FORCE EDITIONABLE VIEW "SCHEMANAME." "" VIEW_MEMBER_PARTIC_PROJECTS "("Participant","Projects")

    AS

    TO

    CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW "SCHEMANAME." "" VIEW_REPEAT_PARATIC ".

    AS

    And that seemed to fix it. I'm not entirely sure why though.

    The view was created using the quoted identifiers for column names. This makes them sensitive and means that they must always be referenced using double quotes. In the absence of quotation marks, Oracle is not case insensitive and automatically converts all uppercase identifiers. The application of graph:

    Select the link null, label projects, value1 "SCHEMANAME Participant." "" VIEW_MEMBER_PARTIC_PROJECTS ".

    has therefore been interpreted by Oracle:

    SELECT THE LINK NULL, LABEL, VALUE1 "SCHEMANAME PARTICIPANT PROJECTS." "" VIEW_MEMBER_PARTIC_PROJECTS ".

    and PROJECTS and PARTICIPANT columns were not recognized because the columns defined for the view have been 'Participant' and 'projects '. The graphic request should have been:

    Select the link null, the label of "Projects", "Participant" value1 "SCHEMANAME." "" VIEW_MEMBER_PARTIC_PROJECTS ".

    As you have now discovered, quoted identifiers are a source of nothing but obscure bugs and should never be used for database objects. He also pointed out the reason why you should always use a standardized, form tiny, coding style as it is faster to type, easy to read and less prone to errors.

    Hello

    XML attributes belong to no namespace, unless explicitly qualified with a prefix.

    They do not inherit from their parents namespace either.

    So, in short, remove the attributes ns2 prefixes, and it should be OK:

  • Not the rows returned by the spatial query wrapped in SELECT * FROM...

    Hello

    When you run a query with SDO_EQUAL sub, I get a very strange behavior. The SDO_EQUAL query on its own works very well, but if I wrap in SELECT * from there, I get no results. If I wrap SDO_ANYINTERACT in SELECT * from there, I get the expected result.

    It seems like the spatial index is used during the execution of the ordinary, but not when SDO_EQUAL request wrapped in SELECT * FROM. Weird. The spatial index is also not used when SDO_ANYINTERACT is wrapped in SELECT * FROM... so I don't know why that returns the correct answer.

    I get this problem on 11.2.0.2 on Red Hat Linux 64-bit and 11.2.0.1 on Windows XP 32-bit (i.e., all versions of 11g I've tried). The query works as expected on 10.2.0.5 on Windows Server 2003 64-bit.

    Any ideas?

  • Performance problem on the SQL query that does not use the primary key index

    Hello!

    I have some performance issues on a single SQL query (Oracle 10 g).
    I could solve the problem by using the INDEX indicator, but I would like to know WHY this is happening.

    * Tables *.
    create table jobs)
    ID number (5) not null,
    name varchar2 (100),
    primary key constraint Job_PK (id)
    )
    /
    -Record count: 298

    create table Comp)
    integer ID not null,
    name varchar2 (100),
    primary key constraint Comp_PK (id)
    )
    /
    -Record count: 193

    -Relation m: n
    create table JobComp)
    integer ID not null,
    id_job integer not null,
    id_comp integer not null,
    primary key constraint JobComp_PK (id),
    unique key constraint JobComp_UK (id_job, id_comp),
    Constraint JobComp_FK_Job foreign key (id_job) refers to Job (id),
    Constraint JobComp_FK_Comp foreign key (id_comp) makes reference Comp (id)
    )
    /
    create index JobComp_IX_Comp on JobComp (Cod_Comp)
    /
    create index JobComp_IX_Job on JobComp (Cod_Job)
    /
    -Record count: 6431

    * Ask *.

    When I run this query, the execution plan shows the index using (JobComp_PK and JobComp_IX_Comp).
    No problem.

    Select JobComp.*
    of JobComp
    Join jobs
    on Job.id = JobComp.id_job
    where JobComp.id_comp = 134
    /
    -runs in 0.20 sec

    But when I add the field 'name' of the work table the plan uses full access table to the table of work

    Select JobComp.*, Job.name
    of JobComp
    Join jobs
    on Job.id = JobComp.id_job
    where JobComp.id_comp = 134
    /
    -runs in the 2.70 dry

    With the help of the index

    Select / * + INDEX (Job Job_PK) * /.
    JobComp.*, Job.name
    of JobComp
    Join jobs
    on Job.id = JobComp.id_job
    where JobComp.id_comp = 134
    /
    -runs in 0.20 sec

    * Doubt *.

    This behavior is correct?

    PS. : I tried to recalculate the statistics, but nothing changes:

    analyze the job calculation table statistics.
    /
    change the statistical calculation of index Job_PK reconstruction;
    /
    Start
    dbms_utility.analyze_schema (sys_context ('userenv', 'current_schema'), 'CALCULATE');
    end;
    /

    The execution time of the querys "without field name' and 'with the field name with suspicion" are equal.
    He has no problem caching, because I get the plans of the sequence different from the querys and repeated the performance. The result is always the same.

    I don't think that there is no problem with oracle crossing LOOP IMBRIQUEE to the HASH JOIN when you include the field name and this should be the expected behavior. But it seems that your WORKING table has a degree of parallelism set against what is causing the query to run in parallel (as JOB table is now available with full table scan, instead of indexed access earlier). It could be that the parallel execution is contributor to extra Runtime.
    (a) do you know why the degree of parallelism on the WORK table has been defined? Do you need it?

    You can see if the following query provides a better response time?

    select /*+ NOPARALLEL(JOB) */ JobComp.*, Job.Name
      from JobComp
      join Job
        on Job.id = JobComp.id_job
     where JobComp.id_comp = 134

  • return the empty record only when no results not returned by the main query

    It is a question of SQL (not PL/SQL)...

    Let's say I have the following text:

    Full_name SELECT NULL, NULL, NULL last_update_date address
    OF the double
    UNION ALL
    SELECT full_name, address, last_update_date
    Employees
    WHEN TRUNC (sysdate) = TRUNC (last_update_date)

    If the second part of the query retrieves no rows, it works beautifully and I get a blank line; However, if the second part of the query returns records, I get a blank line over my dataset I want.

    How can I create a SQL statement that executes only the first query (before the union all) when no result is returned from the second. Also, I don't want to exceute the query twice only if I can get a count of the records because my actual query is much more complex than the example I've provided here.

    Thanks in advance!
    Emily

    Hello

    You can try to use a subquery factoring (WITH clause)
    The query is executed only once, the query results are cached in memory or in a temporary table.
    and you can view these results several times in the main query:

    WITH second_query AS (
      -- your second query here
      SELECT full_name, address, last_update_date
      FROM employees
      WHERE TRUNC(sysdate)=TRUNC(last_update_date)
    )
    SELECT full_name, address, last_update_date
    FROM second_query
    UNION ALL
    SELECT NULL full_name, NULL address, NULL last_update_date
    FROM dual
    WHERE NOT EXISTS ( SELECT 1 FROM second_query)

  • date picker default value appears only not in the sql query

    Hello

    I have a page as a table with a query similar to the following:

    Select emp_name, salary of emp_table where (hire_date) trunc = trunc (to_date (:P42_START_DATE))

    where P42_START_DATE is the name of a date picker.

    I put the date picker, "only when the current value in session state is null" and the value of being "select trunc (next_day(sysdate,'MON')-7) from dual;"-essentially the Monday of the current week, the type of source. I updated the date to 5 selector and the sequence of the region 10. Now, when I opened this page, no data gets pulled. I checked the source of the page and the value of the entry date picker is used to "November 17, 2008", but is not somehow reflected in the sql query.

    Data get retrieved if I put manually the date in the date picker, but I would like that it by default on Monday of this week. What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

    Hello

    >
    "Article 1 of the Expression value is NULL" where is expression 1
    P42_START_DATE
    >

    Yes, that's correct - No. colon is required here as we don't not using the item as a variable binding, just name for the condition. In my tests, I put the calculation for:

    Name of article: P31_HIREDATE (put your P42_START_DATE here instead)
    Type: SQL query
    Point calculation: before header
    Calculation: SELECT TO_CHAR (TRUNC (SYSDATE, 'DAY'), 'DD-MON-RR') FROM DUAL

    My report SQL statement is:

    SELECT EMPNO,
    ENAME,
    HIREDATE
    FROM EMP
    WHERE NVL(HIREDATE, TRUNC(SYSDATE)) < TO_DATE(:P31_HIREDATE,'DD-MON-RR')

    My datepicker object has no special parameters - so:

    Name: P31_HIREDATE
    Display: Date Picker (DD-MON-RR)
    Source: Only when...
    Source type: static...
    The source value or expression: (empty)
    Default: (empty)

    And that's what I did to get: http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=55041:31

    Change the date that you like or click Reset to clear the cache (the calculation will be then reset the date to the current date and refiltrer the report)

  • How can I get the url query string data to a site created with the Muse? It is not module_url works in Muse.

    In my Muse created site (i.e. musesite.com), the url to the site link will be something like, www.musesite.com/homepage.html?userid=123 and I want to capture the value of username. There is documentation on the use of module_url, but documentation is vague and it's not really show in use in the Muse Awards Business Catalyst. Is there an easy way to retrieve the values of url string that does not script require extensive coding?

    Muse is strictly HTML and CSS and a little Javascript. To use URL parameters as you learn on would need a kind side Server advanced such as PHP which is out of the reach of Muse. Essentially of Muse is not the right tool, you use to achieve this.

    This works for you in Joomla because as Wordpress and they are written in PHP.

    Hello world

    I am to acquire 4 wire measurement of resistance using Agilent 34401 DMM. I used the multipoint read VI file and wired a chart for measuring 1 d output data. How can I draw the graphs instantly?

    Do not use the Multipoint reading.  Just read a single sample.  But reading inside a for loop.  Then say you how many samples you take how many times you run your loop FOR.  Put your terminal board inside the loop FOR and connect to the output of the reading.

    Hello

    Connection Bluetooth to an Android mobile with Bluetooth in HP laptop has failed

    I followed these steps to pair the Bluetooth to my HP laptop and the other Bluetooth Android.

    First: I clicked on "Add" device "." Second, the Android mobile Bluetooth showed up. Then I connected to it. After that, "Comparing matching Codes" shown to me. (Screenshot below)

    Next: The user of each Bluetooth accepted us as confirmation. Finally: The pair has been established well. (Screenshot below):

    Although Bluetooth Android was paired with my laptop HP My Bluetooth successfully, the Bluetooth Android is grayed out on my my list of Bluetooth mobile phone as shown in the screenshot below:

    Whenever I clicked on the Android Bluetooth listed in my Bluetooth devices, I don't got no control Bluetooth shows me (NO way to send files from Android Bluetooth appears dimmed) also, whenever the user who has the mobile phone android trying to send file in my laptop Bluetooth paired with its Bluetooth Android, it has encountered an error in sending do not file.

    Although the Android Bluetooth is enabled to be detected by other Bluetooth devices.  If there is a problem with my laptop Bluetooth, then I would be facing the same problem with connecting (pairing) my laptop Bluetooth with Nokia Bluetooth.

    Second: A Nokia mobile with the computer HP Bluetooth Bluetooth laptop was successful:

    I followed the same steps to connect Nokia Bluetooth for my laptop Bluetooth, and he was successful.

    Then windows checked drivers for Nokia Bluetooth.

    Then the control of Bluetooth has been illustrated that will allow to me and the other a user send and receive files via Bluetooth pairing:
