  I work on the automation of low-frequency measure a 35670A Agilent. I currently did a program that allows a measurement with an average of FFt given a frequency bandwidth and frequenct from beginning, see picture attached, but I try to measurement of spectrum using this power VI ( ), but unfortunately I can't seem to find how to convert a signal from my block diagram below in order to send the input signal power VI above spectrum X no indication or help will be appreciated.

  
  

• Problem with driver with Agilent 6031 A feeding

  I tried to develop my first application of cvi in which I need to use a power supply (model Agilent 6031 A). I first use direct command of GPIB and I managed to make it work, but with some difficulty, due to the fact that sometimes orders are missed.

  So I downloaded the driver from the website of OR, and I tried to implement in my code. I found a problem with the first statement, the init it. Here is my code:

  All = hp6xxxa_init ("GPIB0::5:INSTR", VI_ON, VI_ON, 1, & InstrumentH);

  After running the above code, I found in 'All' value '-1073807339 "and InstrumentH is equal to NULL."

  Found the problem. Food must be set of SCPI commands on the old controls ARP using "SYST:LANG".

• Agilent ENA s3p file

  I'm looking for something fairly simple to generate a file s3p for my Agilent E5071C Network Analyzer.  I guess my greatest need is to find a way to get scanned data.  At the moment I have just set up the 9 tracks (S11, S12, S13, S21, S22, S23, S31, S32, S33) and then configure my markers and take individual measures.  There must be a way to collect a data table on a bandwidth of a trace.  Anyone know how?  Thanks in advance.

  The problem has been resolved relatively easily on mine as follows:

  Use the VISA Write block to send the following strings:

  • : MMEMorytorusNP:FORMat AUTO
  
  
  • : MMEMorytorusNP:TYPE3 P 1,2,3
  
  
  • : MMEMorytorusNPATA 'C:\filename.s3p '.

  The Agilent ENA Series.lvlib:File transfer from storage Device.vi allows to recover the file from the Network Analyzer and store it in a local file.

  Again, I have no problem to find a solution on my own (obviously), nor do I have problems with a lack of support or answer, however, I have a problem with the comment ironic and demeaning.  Please keep to yourself if you do not have any positive suggestions for those seeking honest suggestions and help on this support forum.  Thank you.

• Agilent 33500 B configuration of duty cycle

  I use the function generator to Agilent/Keysigt 33511 B to produce a square wave with offset, amplitude and frequency specified. However, I'm unable to set the duty cycle. Is there a VI to control this setting?

  If you use this driver , I think that there is a function named .vi configures signals Standard Advanced (square) and it has an entry for the duty Cycle, so I think this could help you.

  The cable surrounded in black looks like a USB-GPIB cable. You can use a NI PCI-GPIB and GPIB cable place for as long as you have a PC with an available PCI slot. If you connect via GPIB, you use DAQmx, as Intens said.

• Agilent 8164 Lightwave measurement system pilot b

  I have some problems with an Agilent 8164 b Lightwave measurement system, is there a driver for this device to work with labVIEW?, the Programming Guide it says I should "convert", but I think that this option is available only with older versions of labVIEW (I have 8.6).

  In fact, I am able to see the unit with MAX and perform read, write, and Query commands.

  Do not confuse the plug-and-play driver with LabVIEW envelope. Plug-and-play driver (dll, etc.) must be located in the IVIfoundation folder. In the \instr.lib folder should be the llb of LabVIEW functions which are of COLD LAKE to the dll. Attach an image of the windows Explorer you will fix any image.

  It adds a 'driver instruments Module' ag3352x. (IviDriver 1.1 IVI - C and IviFgen 5.0 IVI - C)

  Added a 'logic' and selected name the session "Driver" (ag3352x) and selected the material resource (GPIB0::11:INSTR)

  Tested with the "simulate with" set to the works of specific driver, but when I set it to not simulate I get "0xBFF0015 timeout expired" in LV and TestStand.

  33522B unit switches mode to distance and communication show 2 error: header not defined-113, query-420 UNTERMINATED.

  Is this a bug in the IVI driver? or have I missed something.

  I got the job of communication. (after trying different drivers and settings)

  It seems to be the name of 'physical' and 'virtual' for 'channels' of MAX's name was the problem.

  The default physical name must be changed to something other than '1', although the Canadian standard requires that the name of the channel is '1 '.

  If it works if I have something like "Channel 1" the virtual name value and then use '1' in BT or Teststand.

  (In Teststand you must change the name of the channel pre-filled (in this case channel 1) to '1')

  Im trying to access the computer via a cable RS 232 for sully power DC E3631A agilent use labview to operate the instrument. But the instrument is now detected by the computer and when I check instruments instruments connected tools-tool-find, told me no device not connected. I tried to use max by changing the configurations, but so far it doesn't work anymore. Please can someone tell me what to do

  I don't know if MAX is the instruments of automatic detection on the serial port.  You can contact the instrument using Hyperterminal or something like that?  Also make sure you serial port settings are all correct (it is the most common reason).

  Nice day. I'm a newbee in the true sense of the word. I have read the quick guide on this site, but I'm not sure I'm in the right place for this very basic question. I'm trying to establish communications with an Agilent 4263 B RLC and LabVIEW 2014. I use a GPIB PROLOGIX USB controller and supposed to be someone already had this computer and this LCR Meter speaking, earlier. I have training manuals LabVIEW Core 1 of someone who has been through the class. Unfortunately, they are not available to help me. If someone could point me in the right direction would be great.   Name of the resource that you use? A you select in the menu drop-down?

  I have no idea on the combination of the instrument and prologix. In theory, you should be able to communicate with it, but I have never used the prologix and I hope, will never try.

  What do you mean by ' will not '? The driver is old and not supported. If it uses functions GPIB instead of VISA, you'll have to rewrite it. Look at the block diagram.

• Agilent E5810

  Hi all

  Does anyone know how to install an E5810 Agilent on MAX?

  It works very well with the help of Agilents IO Suite on Windows, but it must be installed on a linux machine which do not cover the Agilent.  I can't find the appropriate option.  The E5810 is a network device that allows you to control remotely via IP a GPIB device.

  As for follow-up to my previous post, I installed Scientific Linux 5.x inside a virtual box virtual machine. I couldn't get visaconf to work (error 13), but I got him to talk about the instrument connected to the E5810A using NIvisaic (using the parameters I mentioned in the previous post).

  Hi I have a common source of agilent B2901A and im trying to out put 100V... Since its able to regard 200V but I can't go abouve 21V. When I write something 21V it sends only 21V. Anyine know how to solve this problem. What is my values of compliance or the beach?

  OK nvm, I thought her thanks for all your help, only it turns out if I want to go above 42V I need a terminal locking. the problem through labview was mu limit compliance was too high.
