  Check if you have an F LOCK key in the top right of your keyboard.

  If this is not the case, try a system restore:

• Server process could not be started because the configured identity is incorrect (massive failure Windows 7)

  I had worked in Vista x 64 for more than a year and upgraded to Windows 7 x 64 Ultimate a week ago. IT has worked so far and things suddenly got completely screwed up without obvious reason. I'm into the following loop, where I can't go out:

  1. after booting, two minutes is spent with the message "waiting for Group Policy Client" (normal startup takes less than a minute).

  2. once I enter the password, it passes to another two minutes with "Please wait for the user profile Service...". "(normally, the connection is instant)

  3. I'm connected (I am administrator), but a lot of things is false:

  -Without Aero. Single base type GUI Windows 2000 gray

  -Lack of network

  -A bubble message appears in the status bar:
  Unable to connect to a windows service
  Windows could not connect to the service user profile Service.
  This problem prevents standard users to log on the system...

  -Almost nothing works. Attempts to start to explore causes this error message:
  SOLUTION EXPLORER. EXE

  -Try to start the Panel of results in the following dialog box:

  There is no missing or damaged file.

  Usually it is a question of the environment.

  The script works in command prompt, because when you signed on your chosen username environment of a profile settings, for example .bash_profile.

  A crontab task presents no environment. That's why you call hydev_env at the beginning of the script. If something things are missing in your env file especially likely.

  What I do is keep a file for each database in the environment to a place like this:

  / u01/app/Oracle/dba_tool/env (/ u01/app/oracle/dba_tool/env/PRIMARY.env)

  The PRIMARY.env file is .env

  What I keep in there, that's all I need a job like crontab background would need:

  Important If you are not sure, a setting on your system type "env" at a Linux prompt, when you are logged in as user where the script works. Change as needed in your file .env.

• USB keys do not work in my VISTA PC, but working in the XP computer.

  My PC is only a few months and underwarranty. VISTA is OEM original and authentic. All updates and installed SP2.

  But I have several problems with VISTA.

  One of them is the following:-

  USB keys do not work in this PC. Initially, they are recognized, but as soon as I start the data transfer it stops and does not recognize the keys more. Same USB keys work correctly on other XP computers.

  An external hard drive works perfectly on the same USB port. If the port is fine.

  First of all if still under warranty, contact the manufacturer to execute tests for your USB slots. Have you tried to see if other devices work on the USB plug? The manufacturer of your may be able to replace your computer if needed.

  Then, I'd go for the Device Manager to see if you have errors. Go to Device Manager and see if you have a yellow fringe! showing that there are errors with your USB devices. Open the Device Manager in Windows Vista via the management utility of the computer, the Control Panel, or from the command prompt by typing in devmgmt.msc.

  You can go to the different tabs and see if the devices work properly, should be cancelled or update your drivers.
  You can also go into the event viewer and see if you have errors on your hardware devices.

  I have a NetGear wndr4500v2 router in which I now have my 1 TB HD plugged (HFS formatted). I've always used this drive for backups TM via the USB in my MBP, but decided it would be good to have all it wireless. Unfortunately I was not able to select the player in Time Machine.

  -I cannot connect / to connect/change player/server and all of its files in the Finder, no problem

  -Already played a bit with SMB and AFP sharing settings

  -Tried with router via an ethernet cable connection

  -NetGear Vaucluse to Time Machine support

  -Of course restarted devices

  -I run El Capitan on a 13 "MacBook Pro 2012

  All this with no result. I have not yet tried to do the old-fashioned way (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VwHGSHSnDk) as I was hoping for an easy solution and beside that, I'm not sure that this guide still works on OSX 11 all thoughts about it, guys? Let me know!

  A device third-party network attached storage (NAS) or a router is unsuitable for use with Time Machine, especially if it's your only backup. I know that's not what you want to hear. I know that the manufacturer declares that the unit will work with Time Machine.

  Apple has published a specification for network devices that works with Time Machine. No third party provider, AFAIK, does meet this specification. They all use the application of Netatalk incomplete, obsolete Apple Filing Protocol.

  Apple does not endorse any device third-party network for use with Time Machine. See this support article.

  Network backup, use as destination an Apple Time Capsule or an external storage device connected to another Mac or a 802.11ac AirPort base station. Only 802.11ac base stations support time Machine, not older model.

  Otherwise, use Time Machine at all. There are other ways to save, although none of them are nowhere near as effective or as well integrated with OS X. I don't have a specific recommendation.

  If you are determined to continue to use the device with Time Machine, your only remedy for any resulting problem is the manufacturer (who will blame Apple, neither you nor anyone else but herself.)

  Hi, my SQL Server 2014 works very well in my server with WIndows 2012 until I installed the new day & service pack that was required for server hardening.

  I successfully installed SP1 KB 3058865 first, then discovered that the services do not start. After so much research to fix, I came with the 2 cu updates KB3075950, KB3094221 in knowing that it could solve my problem but unfortunately is not.

  I also tried to change the service account that many suggest, but his does not work.

  I tried to replace the master file & maslog but also failed.

  I tried to run etc and unique usermode and restore master db... also failed.

• A few server contacts could not be copied to the address book of tis

  Try to sync Yahoo Contacts (entrance on MacBook Pro, OSX 10.11.6) with the Mac Contacts Contacts/iCloud. On iCloud Contacts, a triangle indicates next to 'Yahoo' with the msg "some contacts server may not be copied in this address book.

  Thread on the similar theme that might be able to help - a few contacts server could not be copied into the address book.

• HP Pavilion dv6 - black screen on startup, but works using the secondary monitor?

  I use a Pavilion dv6 WV815AV, and I used it for 3 years now.

  I tried to start the computer and the fan and lights are lit, but not the monitor.  I tried to plug in my high school, and it's that now treats as if it were the only screen.  I had problems in the past of a few times where I would get past the HP logo, and then there would be a substantial delay where the screen remains black but be illuminated, but most of the time that he would go to the screen connection, and if not, a simple reboot managed to solve the problem.

  Thoughts on how should I solve it?

• 9.3 do not sync PDFs on ipad, but works on the iphone

  I used separate apple for Itunes purchases ID (let's call it 'yahoo') and icloud (let's call it "icloud") for many years (for historical reasons, many of you will know on).

  I was excited by the announcement that iBooks will now synchronize PDFs on devices (ipad, iphone, and mac Inc.).  After the update and ibooks on all opening devices, I was invited I would icloud to synchronize my books and pdf - of course, I clicked Yes.

  My mac and the iphone seem to be in harmony, all of my PDF files that were on my mac is now hosted by my icloud account and is visible in ibooks on my iphone, and my purchases to my account yahoo itunes are also visible on both.  However, my iPad won't play ball.

  I checked the settings for account of my ipad and it seems to fit my iphone.  That said, the only option of account I can find for ibooks is within the library - at the bottom of the section 'recommended '.  I can't find any other parameter that allows me to choose the account to use for synchronization.

  Any ideas anyone - or is that what someone else has similar problems?
