AIR-LAP1141N-A-K9 as a standalone unit

I recently bought an AIR-LAP1141N-A-K9. I'll try and see how it works. I know this isn't a stand alone ap but what firmware would recommend you load top to run as a stand alone? Also if it works well, I am interested in buying a controller and several of them. What controllers are compatible with this camera? I see that the manual says 440 x are also what is there more?

Thank you

Well, you must use the last c1140-k9w7 - tar.153 - 3.JAB.tar

  • Network of Cisco 1140 Standalone AP "guest."

I think the purchase of the stand-alone version of the AP of 1140, (AIR-AP1142N-x-K9-bi-bande Standalone 802.11a/g/n). My question is can I install a network of 'guest' with these conditions:

    1. Subnet separated, gets dhcp from the AP.
    2. No configuration of the DMZ on the firewall.
    3. No access to other subnets, internet only.
    4. You need a VLAN?

Thanks in Advace for your help!

    L. Mace

    1. Subnet separated, gets dhcp from the AP.   Yes, this could be done, just need to configure a scope on the AP, may support ip take for IP of the AP management.
    2. No configuration of the DMZ on the firewall.  Don't necessarily need the DMZ, but you'll have to leave the new subnet to cross
    3. No access to other subnets, internet only.  not a problem, ACL to the L3 device.
    4. You need a VLAN?  Yes.

    See you soon,.

  • Add to a project of Extension of CS of unit tests

    Hello

I'm working on a project of extension of CS, and I want to add to the unit tests project. I see that FlexUnit does not support the extension project. Is it possible to add to a project of extension of unit tests?

    Stephen

You can certainly use FlexUnit. Add libraries to your project and test away.

What we normally do, according to the requirements of the overall project, is put as much of the basic logic / we can in a library. Then, we write as well an application Air and an Extension designed to run unit tests against this library. Soft Air tests the functionality which is not dependent on a host application (PS, I ID...).

Depending on your project, you can or may be able to use an Air application to test (CSXS calls are not supported in Air).

  • P4015tn HP: HP P4015tn print quality and ghosting

The printer is used in a printing invoice detail environment print sheets of 200-300 per day.

Ghosting of the invoice headers was noted a few weeks previously and only on the day first few bills.  Last week, they appear on each invoice.  The machine has been cleaned with compressed air and a new toner cartridge installed. The ghost images are gone.

Now there is a print light about 1/4 "wide vertically area down the page in the lines of print 3" between the left edge of the page and a little ink in the center of the Bill.

What should be my next step to address these gaps?

Assessment of SHThompson of your question is wrong.

A ghost on a printed page image problem is a defective fuser unit. In a printer, the toner is applied to the page. The toner and paper and then through the fuser unit. The fuser unit uses high temperatures to instantly melt the toner on the page. When everything works, you get crisp clean pages.

However, the fuser unit may fail in a couple of ways that give rise to two different types of "ghosting":

The first type of ghost image may appear as a sort of a shadow fuzzy on all texts and lines. This means that the fuser is misaligned: it is fusion toner to the correct places, but then also merge toner a milimeter or further down the page.

The second type of ghost image may appear as a repetition of printing several inches higher, or to the previous page. This is a more severe form of alignment where Fuser is rolling through a quarter of the page and the merger of the excesses of toner of an earlier model.

In both cases, you must replace the fuser unit.  If your printer is under warranty, HP should be good enough to send you a replacement unit. Otherwise, prices between HP and 3rd suppliers and 3rd party manufacturers will vary greatly, so to go around. Ovens may be available as standalone units or as kits which also includes supplies and replacement rolls. Decide what is best for you. There are YouTube videos that show you how to replace the fuser unit yourself, which is a bit like replace the toner cartridge, except the fuser unit is at the back of the printer.

Good luck. And don't forget, the compressed air cleaning is harmless. Feel free to do it regularly. Your printer can handle very well.

  • Diablo 3 graphic card

Hi everyone wondering if anyone could offer some advice. My son downloaded the new diablo 3Ave game and the graphics card I have in my HP pavillion slimline s5206uk is not compatible. Does anyone know the compatible card that I can go to work with my machine. I read that the slimline machine will take only some cards due to the design slimline etc. The machine meets all other requirements of the system except the graphics card. My apologies if I posted this in the wrong place. Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks in advance

    Macca

    Macca, welcome to the forum.

Slimlines are perfect for many reasons.  However, game is not one of them.  Simply, they are not intended to be upgraded.  The case does not have enough air.  In addition, the power supply unit (PSU) is only to 220W.  The video card that will work with it be much, if any, better than the integrated video.  I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but I don't want you to spend money unnecessarily.  Modern games require a lot of power.

  • The Acer M3641 will have a standard ATX power supply? My power supply is dead.

My M3641 does not start and it seems to be dead while it is turned off.  It was plugged and it started sparking and make loud pop.  I see no signs of a short circuit or damage the inside of the case, but I did not remove or open the power supply.  I think to replace, but I can't find all the information on the sites of Acer which would specify if a standard ATX PSU would work or if there are installation instructions I need.  Does anyone out there know about this?  Thank you.

OK, no answer here yet, so I had to make a decision.  I bought a ThermalTake TR2 430W ATX PSU (also shown on their Web site as W0070) and I replaced the power supply in my M3641.  It cost me $25 (after discount) at a local TigerDirect store (CompUSA was.)  I was shocked (no pun intended) the degree of simplicity to install.  I was also shocked that he seems to have worked immediately.

First I disconnected the power of the unit and press and hold the power on button on the front of the PC (according to the instructions of Acer) to release any remaining electrical load (or so they claim).  I removed the 4 screws of the old PSU and slid the box out of the chassis Assembly while retaining all connected cables.  I found the best direction for the new PSU (fan stood in the same place, so the new power supply heat can be evacuated in the chassis, but the chassis is open enough and if the fan is drawing inside the PSU the air comes from the back of the unit (reasonably fresh air.)  It's the only way it would fit the attachment power cord located on the side of the draw.  The old power supply had the fan and the power cord on the same side attachment to the rear of the chassis).  Note that it is possible that the fan is fan in the power supply and the back.  I do not know.  In any case, I had no choice about the direction.

I unplugged the old PSU connector and replaced it by plugging the connector corresponding since the new power supply.  I did step by step, a connector at the same time, check first to make sure I knew exactly where the connector has been set and what was the orientation.  In each case, I checked to make sure that the paired wire color coding.  In some cases, there was an extra wire on the new connector, but all the others were corresponding to the color and orientation.  I had a square connection 4 pins which does not correspond to the form of any connector again, but the new PSU was a rectangle connector 8 this divide into two 4 pin and I joined an of these.  The main connector has been 24 pins and the new PSU gave me an option of 20 or 24 pins.  Once again, no problem.  I noticed that one of the connections of the old PSU was actually two connections separated on a single cable, so I simply repeated with the new power supply, which included two cables multiconnector just for this purpose.  I used one of those for the two connections (hard disk, I think) and the other for a single connection, probably for the optical drive.

The old power supply was now completely detached.

After checking that all the screws and connectors have been secured, screw the plate chassis and to make sure the PC is properly delivered together, I plugged it in the end of the power cable supplied with the new power supply with the power off PC switch.  Then I plugged the other end of the power cable on my PS backup APC no explosion yet, so I went the new PC button power on / off to we.  Still no spark, so I pressed the button on the front of the PC and voila, it lights up and started.  Everything seems fine.  It seems to work normally.  If I encounter problems such as overheating, I will update this post.

  • Does not light but not dead no HELP

OK, I read the forum and understand the 20 sec press/release/press reset to running.

    Mine does not start.

I let the battery completely and six months later (patience is the virtue) I've tried ot load and repeat the reset procedure.

    Stilli does not work.

HOWEVER: when I plug it to the PC to load, the PC recognizes the device and a 'ring' in tone.  I can unplug the unit and the PC not the tone 'ring' ' sothe PC is grateful.

ALSO, when I do the reset 20 sec procedure, I get the tone "sound" of the PC and when I release the button and press it again, I get the 'ring in your' so the PC recognizes some sort o' on the device activity.

Better yet, when plugged in for the first time, autoplay starts and I can say that it displays the contents of the drive.  It is empty.  I can see the SANSA in windows Explorer.  I can copy music to it.  I can play music from SANSA on the PC memory.

When I browse the SANSA, there is no directory STRUCTURE - no = - just the root folder directory.

But I can't help doing will make the unit come alive to play.  I tried blindly start playing by pressing select and play buttons... but no response through the atria.

Oh, I also opened the device upwards (brave soul I'm - well, once an engineer, always and engineer!) and measure the voltage at the terminals of the battery as 3.75V.  With the camera connected to the computer, the voltage remains the same.  I tried the switch on the case open... nothing happened.

SO: my conclusion is that the nit of base works but is not part of the man/Machine Interface (connection to vs PC standalone unit).

Any ideas on how to get the display?

Thanks for the idea, but I'd already left him in charge for several days.  I'll hold on to the unit for spare parts assuing that the battery is still good and I got headphones intakes stand before.  I t hink it is toast unless I heard from someone else.  As a former engineer, used to try to diagnose things, I can't think anything that we have not tried. I will mark the closed thread but personally he will remain open should post again.

I SINCERELY APPRECIATE THE TIME YOU SPENT THINKING ABOUT THIS TOPIC AND DISPLAY.

  • Must configure with the same SSID of the AP

We are looking for the purchase of two Access Points to our new building.  We currently have at our old facility two end bottom of AP with two different SSIDs.  Manaully users simply switch between the two.  I would like to know how it would be difficult to set up it would not have users to manually switch as they traveled through the building.

I have looked at Cisco AP below and I was wondering if she had the ability to do so.  Is there another hardware or software needed to put up something like that.

Just to clarify I only need two AP and want things transperent to my users.  I want them to be able to walk the area covered to another area covered by the AP2 and AP1 and loose no matter what connection.  Here it's automatic for users do not have to do anything to move things.

Any info anyone can provide to help me would be greatly appreceated.  Thanks in advance.

Access point wireless Cisco Aironet 1140 AIR-LAP1141N-A-K9

As I understand it, you can configure both with the same SSID settings and security and that they will be 'transparent' to switch to the other. It is if you do not use something like an IP phone that requires a quick transition between the two. In this case, you would need a controller.

  • Active / standby ASR9000v ICL

    Hello world

After reviewing the documentation for the 9000v, I wonder if it is possible to configure the following scenario without using nV Edge. I have a pair of ASR9912 that are configured as standalone units. We received 3 ASR9000v which we configured in a scenario of the active / standby as part of a requirement of the customer.

There is a pattern in this link: https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/9868421/asr9000xr-using-satelli... that shows the scenario, but it seems like a VSS deployment. In the same document, section 13 describes a Dual-host configuration. I wonder if that's what I'm looking for. Interfaces GigE on the system of 'sleep' will be in a break state? I'd be worried about some conflicts.

I'm not the second 9912 upward and going until mid-January because of the power and the grid space, so I can't test until then.

Has anyone successfully deployed this scenario without using nV Edge?

    Thank you.

We prefer that you evaluate advanced bifocals, which is a new feature. You will not need to use NV EDGE and we are actually calling customers of this technology to something more standards based. Take a look at the following:
