Airport Express (1st generation) not connect to iPhone 6 iOS 10.0.2

I am trying to connect and listen to music from my iPhone 6 iOS 10.0.2 through the music app. My phone does not see the Airport Express Terminal more. All I see is my Apple TV. I can connect to the Airport Express terminal when I use iTunes on my computer. My iPhone is used to connect to the Airport Express Terminal.

I checked my Airport Express for the updates and it is updated in accordance with the programme of AirPort and PC utility App.

I also tried to restart the AirPort Express.

Any ideas on how to make of this connect on my iPhone?

They say they are "connected" to the wireless network but nothing works / charges on other devices. I tried to forget the network, by renewing the lease, etc and nothing works. Any suggestions as to why my laptop works but not other devices?

    What is the serial number and model of the modem you use?... or... The AirPort Express connects directly to the Ethernet wall port?

    So I've matched the AirPort Express to the Capsule to expand my network.

    If you really have a 1st version of the AirPort Express Gen (see note below *)... and you have configured to connect to the time Capsule using Wireless 'add a wireless network', then the Ethernet port is active and you can connect a switch to the Express.

    Don't forget that the Ethernet on the Express port is only 100 Mbit/s capable, so even if you could have a 1 000 Mbps or Gigabit switch, the speed will never be higher than 100 Mbit / s.

    * A 1st Gen Express is A1264 model number. Look on the side of the Express to locate the model number. Hard to see, with grey lettering on white background.

    It should... I see no reason for its failure.

    Try doing a reset to factory of the Express.

    Repeat the installation of airport El Capo Mac utility.

    Use short names for everything, not spaces and pure alphanumeric characters. Passwords that same thing but can be 8 to 20 characters or more depending on your current level of paranoia.

    OK, it's kinda a complicated question.  For starters, I will describe my current setup:

    Cable modem Motorola-> Airport Express #1-->(Ethernet over powerline)-> Airport Extreme-> multiple Airport Express for AirPlay

    Airport Extreme and Airport Express #1 are put in place to create wireless networks, with different names for 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz frequencies.  I love this configuration because it allows me to play music simultaneously on the four different speakers hooked to my Airport Express units while offering good coverage in my apartment together.  It worked perfectly until two days ago when two of the Airport Express units lost their connection and are now flashing yellow.  I tried to restart the Airport Express and Airport Extreme, but nothing helped.  When I launch iStumbler, it looks like Airport Express #1 and Airport Extreme both create networks of right, but who is the Airport Extreme 802. 11A instead of 802.11n - don't know if it of a problem or not.  I suspect that the Airport Extreme is not working properly because when my wireless connection when you use my iPad near the Airport Extreme, that used to be solid as a rock, is now uneven intermittently.

    Any ideas on how I can solve this?  Thank you very much!

    It sounds like your extreme is the very old Gen1 or Gen2 model without dual band.

    Back to the factory and start over. It's the best way to solve problems... reboot is worth a trial, but in the end, you sometimes just have to redo the installation.

    The iPad can be mirrored, your iPhone does not have this feature. The iPhone can use AirPlay, but not all applications are activated (up to the developer to do)

    When I just upgraded my Airport Extreme for a time Capsule of the airport, I lost my connection to the Airport Express connected to my stereo to allow playback Airtunes wireless. Airport utility is really different and shows that the new ATC.

    Ok. It seems that my Express and my old extreme are no longer supported by Apple? Come on guys! I tried the Airport utility download stuff to my phone, but that did not work. Alternative workaround so I did not in the trash with a value of $400 of perfectly functional base stations? I just want to have Airplay again. GRRRR.

  • Time settings airport capsule (1st generation)

    I use Longreach wireless (Netspeed) as my ISP. The speeds are way down on what they should be; is that what I can do in the settings to help speed up the line and download speeds. IMac El Capitan 10.11.3 running with a time capsule airport 1st generation I had for about 3-4 years than the wireless network. The long reach system has the built-in modem to the antenna on the roof he and the capsule directly connects not the wall by a power supply.

    Connect your iMac by ethernet to the modem directly... you might need access and buy an extra long cable or use another computer, a laptop is great.

    Discover what look like your speeds wireless... If it's the same thing, then you nothing doing on the current wireless network will help.

    I have a brand new Airport Express that I currently use as an Extender for our old time Capsule. I would like to share a USB between computers. The Aiport utility see the drive.

    However, the Finder does not show the drive.

    In the future this extreme with a USB (mini 4 TB drobo) will be in our caravan to help us to do video editing and blogging with 2 computers on the road.

    Finder are not displayed at the start of the drive, but it should display the AirPort Extreme under the Shared heading in the left side of the Finder window.

    In the example below, my AirPort Extreme (called AEBS) has a drive named 500 GB drive connected to the USB port at the back of the unit.

    By clicking on the AEBS, another window displays the name of the player on the right side of the window.

    Double-click to mount the drive on the desktop.

    Now you can drag and drop files on the disc icon, or open the drive and drag the files into the opened window, which represents the drive.

    HI, I bought an Apple Airport Extreme new several months and I haven't connected my Airport Express so far. For some reason, the Airport Express is same does not record on the network.     If you have not reset the Terminal AirPort Express to settings by default and then set up again to extend the network provided by the AirPort Extreme... so now may be a good time to do this.

    As it is, the Express is not "appear" on your network because it has not been provided with the settings to do.

    If you need some advice on how to get the Express running... we will need a little more information from you as follows:

    (1) your AirPort Express Terminal has two Ethernet ports... or... does he have one?  If is has one, we need to model on the side of the unit number. It starts with an "A" followed four digits.  For example... A1264.

    (2) AirPort Express Terminal will connect to the network using a permanent connection to the Ethernet cable wired to AirPort Extreme... or... the Express will connect wireless?

    (3) what device you use to configure the AirPort Express Terminal?

    (4) If you have a Mac, we need to know what operating system they are running. If you are not sure about this, click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen, then click on about this Mac and post back with the Version of OS X number that you see there.

AirPort utility happens me an error stating that "this AirPort base station could not extend the wireless network.     Sorry, but "Extend a wireless network" feature Apple's patented and designed to work only with another router from Apple if you try to use the AirPort Express Terminal to expand the wireless network.

    With a router not Apple, the Express can expand the network, but it will wired Ethernet wired, permanent access to the main router.

    What is the model number of the AirPort Express?  If you do not know, look on the side of the unit for the model number. It is difficult to see, so you need to perhaps good lighting and reading glasses, or a magnifying glass.  The model number starts with an 'A' follow-up of four digits.  For example, you might see A1264.

    What TP-Link modem model?

    When you say that the airport has no WiFi, we must understand what it really means.

    Can you 'see' the network wireless signals on your computer, but not connect to the network?

    Can "see you" the wireless signal and connect, but not to get an Internet connection?

    Or can you not 'see' the wireless signal at all?

    You're still running OS X (10.5.8) on your Mac as shows it your profile?  If this is not the case, what operating system are you using?

  • ThinkPad will not connect to iPhone 5 personal hotspot

    My Lenovo Thinkpad, running Windows 7, does not connect to my iPhone 5 personal hotspot.  Here is some information:

    -The ThinkPad used to connect to the hotspot, but only intermittently. Reset the network adapter sometimes worked, sometimes not... now, not at all.

    -The ThinkPad will connect at home, Starbucks and various networks airport WiFi with no problems.

    -The personal hotspot iPhone works perfectly with my iPad.

    So, my iPhone hotspot works and my ThinkPad with WiFi works, but not to each other.

    Here are some tips that can help you to solve your problem:

    On your iPhone:

    -Install the latest version of iOS (if you have not yet installed)
    -Reset the network settings on the iPhone
    How you do this: go to Settings--> General--> Reset--> Reset network settings
    -Check the name of your device. Windows probably has problems with a device name that contains non-ASCII characters.
    (for example: iPhone John.) The character ' is a non-ASCII character)
    -Completely restore iPhone

    On your Lenovo Thinkpad:

    -Install all Windows updates
