AirPort Extreme works with only a few devices

I have an AirPort Extreme 802.11 model ac.

It worked perfectly for about a month, but now, only a few devices are connected with it. These devices will be connected only after the opening of the AirPort Utility. My AppleTV will not indicate the network, but the message "no network connection. Your Wi - Fi network is not connected to the internet. Change your settings or select a different network. »

I tried restarting the AirPort Extreme and my router by unplugging and plugging back. I also rebooted AirPort Extreme internally by restarting in AirPort Utility. From now on, only my iPhone and MacBook Pro will connect.

Even with those who sometimes it will connect and the other will not.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

I would say that your extreme is autonomous from router mode in Bridge mode... He can do. A power failure caused to ruin the current configuration and replaced another... you must remedy by a complete factory reset and reconfigure correctly.

Before to do it tell us what model is your modem?

And you have the configuration of the airport in bridge or router at this time?

    You can't disable the radio 2.4 GHz on the AirPort Extreme. At best, you can rename your network 5 GHz with a different name from that of the 2.4 GHz radio. You can then connect your clients to the 5 GHz network wirelessly. However, the downside there is that the higher frequency band has more difficulty to walk through walls and you can not find the signal outside the room that the base station can be used.

    Hardware failure - defective leads.  Take that back for a new one, as big a PITA, you should.

  • Can I use an AirPort Extreme to add wifi to wired devices?

    Essentially, I would use an AirPort Extreme as a wifi adapter WITHOUT using it as wireless access point. I really just want to access my wireless internet and distribute the connection via Ethernet.

    For more context, I have a time capsule airport connected to my modem fiber. Time capsule does a great job of the town house with wifi coverage. However, I have a couple of components in my home theater, who are not able WiFi (DVD player, older game system, etc.). I got to have an AirPort Extreme, so my hope is to use an Internet for these components. I would have preferred that she not also "extend" the wireless network and contract my all along (I know this isn't the end of the world, I just useless expansion of the range so there is no reason for me to enter the equation or more wifi signals bouncing around the House).

    I searched a bit and encoder table extend network via wifi or the creation of a network of travelling, but I have not found a way to have the extreme put in place to receive the rebroadcasting wifi without her signal. It's something I can do?  In the circumstances, any other suggestions for setting this up that doesn't involve running one cable Ethernet or the purchase of additional equipment?

    This would work... IF... the AirPort Extreme has been implemented to extend wireless network provided another router from Apple. Which would mean that the AirPort Extreme also would act as a point of access Wi - Fi.

    It does NOT at all if you try to connect to a third-party router wireless AirPort Extreme wirelessly.

    Ironically, an AirPort Express can be configured to do exactly what you want using either a router from Apple or a third-party router as the "primary" router If two ports Ethernet on the Express are too few in number, you can add an Ethernet switch to create more connections.

    I have a laptop HP Vista Home Premium 32-bit running, and it will not connect to my Airport Extreme router.  I have a XP computer that connects very well.  When I disable WPA security on my network, the Vista computer connects and when I activate WPA it will not identify the network.

    The XP system uses WPA?  Does Airport Extreme support WPA?  (I imagine for this).  Have you tried to use WEP, despite what is less secure than WPA?  Have you tried to enter the WPA authentication information in the network connection on the Vista system? Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]

    The iPod Hi-Fi is not a loan AirPlay device. However, it has a 3.5 mm analog/digital audio input port that can be connected to an AirPort Express Terminal for reading iTunes stream from either the Mac or iPhone.

    Note: Both the Express and the iPod Hi-Fi built in DAC to convert to digital-to-analog audio sources.

    With respect to the extension of Wifi, the wireless router to be extended with the Express should be another Apple product: Express Extreme and Time Capsule.

    I haven't used DreamWeaver over the years and now I'm a bit lost for what I think should be a very simple thing.

    I want to make a site with fixed height and width which will play only on an iPad 12.9 Pro.  So I want to fix the site for only this resolution.

    I also want to just make a few simple html with images files to fixed locations with links to other html files.

    I can't understand how the non dynamic page size (if that's the correct term).

    I also can't understand how simply to add six images on two rows and three columns and Center.

    However, remember that you will need to use images of salvation-ppi, as although the features of Hi-dpi resize the correct size of the text, without distortion or Burr the same does not apply to images.

    I currently have a windows 7 PC that I use net use in the cmd file to map the drive to Windows server 2008.

    It works if I use the built-in Administrator account / password but I tried another account that is in the administrator group on the server and I get errors.

    After you change the net use command in various ways, the 2 following errors are what I mean most of the time:

    1219 system error has occurred.

    Multiple connections to a server or a shared resource by the same user, using several
    that the a user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the
    Server or shared resource and try again.

    OR

    System 5 error has occurred.
     
    Access is denied.

    I have watched a lot of research on this but cannot get this to work.

    Also, one thing that I think make changes the built-in name admin and the password.  What is a safe thing to do?

    Hello oldchas! AC adapter / CC of the A7R is not able to provide a continuous camera power while it is operating. Only a charged battery can power the device. Power must be turned off and the camera connected to the AC adapter to charge the battery. The battery is not charged if the switch is on when you are connected to the power adapter.

  • Help! Export error 27 with only a few videos

    I exported Final Cut Pro X projects directly on my external hard drive. I got an error 27 with one of them, and given that it is exported well I don't think it's a problem with my external hard drive formatting. All the videos have been imported in the same way and the same camera. Any ideas about why this is happening? Thank you!

    Most likely, you export a FAT32 / 'Windows' formatted the disk, right?

    error27 occurs when you attempt to save a file > 4 GB - that is not supported by fat32 (very old format..)

    So, small export projects, larger not. -.

    reformat the drive (erases all content!) to exFat or hfs + / "Mac"...

    WE have an iMac 2009 running Snow Leopard and a MacBook Pro in late 2011, with the help of an old 2004 Airport Extreme Base Station. The second works very well, but I just discovered it's crimping our internet speeds considerably from that proposed Comcast (tested with ethernet this morning). I know that the new Airport Extreme WORK with our computers, but it will increase our speed, even though computers support not the fastest new PHY mode? I would not upgrade the router only to learn that we do not earn a lot (we can't get much more with the current router 17mbps, but by ethernet, we got 57mbps this morning).

    So, if you have connected an Ethernet cable from your Mac to the port on the AirPort Extreme Ethernet older you 57 Mbps... or did you connect your Mac directly to your modem using Ethernet and pick up the 57 Mbit/s in this way?

    When you have measured 17 Mbps on the wireless connection... it was with the computer about 6-7 feet (or about 2 meters) from the airport with direct line of sight between the computer and the router AirPort?

    How many other wireless devices are also involved at the time?  To get a decent wireless speed reading, you want to try to restrict things to a single computer and the router from the airport when you run the speed control.

    Then add more wireless devices and run the speed check again to see how the "charge" on the wireless network speed is affected.

    I put in place already to extend the wifi of my modem still connected to the modem via ethernet cable.

    The AirPort Extreme can extend only wireless signal from another router from Apple, so if you want to take the AirPort Extreme on the floor and extend wireless signal, you will need another airport connected to your modem by Ethernet cable router to produce the wireless signal that will extend the extreme on the floor.

    Another way of saying the same thing would be to say that if you want to extend wireless using a router from Apple, you'll need two of them do... because AirPort Extreme is not compatible with a third-party modem or modem/router for this purpose.

    The week last Xfiniti sent me a new "Wireless Gateway," which they recommend that I use.

    It is model Arris TG G 1682 and supposed to give service 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz.

    Can I use this, it is faster or more strong signal through walls, etc. or continue to use my Airport Extreme?

    Nobody has a crystal ball that will be good enough to see your network performance, so that we cannot provide an answer for you about the question of whether you should use the gateway Arris or AirPort Extreme.

    Use your laptop to connect and check the connection Wireless at various locations around the House using the signal from the bridge of Arris.

    Then, do the same thing by using the AirPort Extreme signal.

    If you find the gateway Arris delivers a better signal than AirPort Extreme, then you need not in AirPort Extreme unless you want to have a separate network for guests or children.

    If you find that the AirPort Extreme works better than the Arris gateway, you can use the signal from the gateway for a network of comments or children. If you do not need a network comments or children, you might want to disable wireless on the bridge to reduce the number of wireless networks in your area.

  • is my Virgin media Super hub 2ac causing AirPort Extreme restart?

    I'll try and make this short.

    I recently had a hub great media virgins 2ac upgrade to a great hub. Before that, I have not had any problems with my network or wifi. And became 150 MB of download and upload 12.

    I have two extremes of the Apple Airport, one as a primary router and the other as an extension of network (super hub is modem mode) the extreme second is connected via Ethernet to a voltage adapter.
    The problem is that if I use a wired device or wireless broadcasting data continuously for more than 15-25 minutes (22 minutes is the sweet spot) and then the main AirPort Extreme will restart and drop the wifi.

    I did the following:
    Restart all devices (works temporarily)
    Changed all wifi channels
    Off to IPv6
    Bought a new AirPort Extreme
    Bought new cables
    Hard wired devices previously on wifi

    The key is that I'm out of ideas. The only thing that has changed is the super hub, everything else is the same. Is it possible from that great hub is the original AirPort Extreme resets automatically?

    Any help welcome because it leads me to the top of the wall!

    One thing that comes to mind. You mentioned that you have placed the new super hub modem mode. Do you know if this also turns off Wi - Fi hub as well? If it does not then it is possible that you found the Wi - Fi interference between the super hub and AirPort Extreme connected on it.
