  Your airport automatically analyze and choose the best channel to use when it lights up. So, if you have not done for some time, powering to the airport, wait a few seconds and then put it to the top.

  Even if you could change the channel... How would you know which channel to choose?

  Time Warner will only support for a product they have received for you.  But this does not mean that a router from Apple will not work with their service. I've used Apple products for over 10 years with Time Warner.

• Airport utility sees my Time Capsule wireless but can't seem to connect to it or to join.

  If you reset the Time Capsule (TC) properly holding the reset for 7-8 seconds button, releasing one allowing a full minute of the CT to restart... and... "or have a connection by Ethernet cable from your modem to the WAN" O "port on the TC... then the AirPort Utility will not 'see' the TC again until you put up again.

  To do this, you click the WiFi icon at the top of the screen of the Mac and are looking for a list of the new AirPort base station. The model number starts with an 'A' follow-up of four digits. Please post back this information.

  (3) what version of AirPort Express you have?  Please look for the model number on the side of the Express.   Here are my suggestions...

  Start from a factory reset. No files are lost on the drive hard in doing so.

  Universal factory reset

  Turning off the TC... That is, remove the power supply cord or the power at the wall outlet, wait 10 seconds... Hold the reset button... be nice...   You can use the name... SMB://TCgen5.local where you replace TCgen5 with your name of TC... local is the default domain of the TC and does not change.

  However the names are not so easy as... the IP address nor reliable. They are not at least not in Yosemite. The field can also be a problem if you are not clogged or wireless directly to the Treasury Board.

  6. ensure that IPv6 is set to link-local only in the computer. For example wireless open network, wireless and Advanced preferences / TCP/IP... and the difficulty of IPv6. link-local only. Do the same for the ethernet if you use it.

  Always recommended to reset the airport back to settings by default and then set up again whenever you have a new modem or change your Internet Service provider.

  Turn off the new modem for at least 30 minutes. More is better.

  Perform a hard reset on the AirPort Extreme, then it turned off.

  Make sure that the Ethernet cable connects the modem to the "O" on the AirPort Extreme WAN port

  After the power of the modem 30 minutes down, turn on the modem and let it run for at least 5 minutes by itself.

  Then, turn on the airport and let it run a few minutes

  Set up AirPort Extreme again

  Important note... There are many reports of problems with the modem Arris SB and airports. Both are great products, but they do seem to work perfectly together for some users.

  Thank you all. The problem was not an update to W7, but 2015 AVG antivirus. Windows restore feature has been blocked by the anti-virus. When the antivirus has been removed to allow the restoration of Windows to work probperly, EOS utility poped up and worked fine. Now, I have to stop antivirus when using EOS utility. I inform the AV manufacturer to find a solution.

  PS: With friendly assistance from support of AVG, I created a few exceptions (the files that are not checked by AVG) and included the EOS Utility in this list of exceptions. He now works OK!

  & #3; I've been troubleshooting all day on this problem for my parents, trying to set up printing wireless for them on their new HP 1102W. I am trying to connect the printer wireless to their Airport Time Capsule base station. Using the WPS configuration, the printer is recognized by the base station, but I'm still not able to print wirelessly or via airprint. Enter the web configuration via USB, I see that the printer is grateful the network, but it doesn't have an IP address (it is set to auto/DHCP). Later I tried to connect to a shared of my iphone, wifi connection and everything worked perfectly, so the problem is that somehow the printer will not connect properly to the Airport base station. I tried several resets and restarts the printer and the base station, and the printer and the base of the station has new firmware. I also tried to change the security on the terminal of the default wpa2 personal wireless with wpa/wpa2 personal.

  I'd appreciate comments on this issue because I am quite frustrated now :-)

  Using the tool of the airport, I logged on to the base station and changed the wifi settings, while 2.4 and 5 ghz networks have different names instead of identical names standard. That did the trick, eventually I just configured the printer using wps in a few minutes.
