  When the printer is set to the current settings and receives a request for the written press which is not currently installed and configured in the printer, it will prompt you can load the media is requested to print on.

  Have you tried the reset I sent you private message?

  If you can't change the settings of the printer, I would suggest to update the firmware of the printer: LJM1130_M1210_FW_Upgrade_Security_signed - 20150405.exe

  It may be a hardware problem, if the options in the menu, you cannot change them.

  You must use a cable 2 son.

  Voicemail can interfere with faxes that crosses. One suggestion would be to get setup distinctive ring on the line or to disable voicemail.

  I recently installed a M1212NF MFP for a customer.  They must be able to save scanned in PDF with the same file name without overwriting the original file. Instead, they would like to have a 4 digit number appended to the file (for example filename.0001.pdf, filename.0002.pdf etc.).  They would also like to be able to define their own file names instead of using a base (for example, customefilename.0001.pdf, customfilename.0002.pdf etc.) file.

  The printer has been installed on a network and does not act as a local USB printer.  The PC using the scan functions is under Windows 7 64-bit.

  I installed the software that came with your printer, but cannot find anywhere where it can be configured.  I know that after HP products have been able to do this via the HP Solution Center.  The solution center not delivered with the product.  Since I tried to install the HP Solution Center software, but I can't go beyond being invited to connect to the printer via a USB cable.

  I know it's easy enough to manually change the file name of the scanned pdf file when you are prompted to replace to save.  The function append is convenient for my client, given the constraints of time & workload.

  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanking you in advance.

  I have a new laptop with Windows Pro 8.1 Surface and I installed the pcl6 upd - x 64 - 5.7.0.16448.exe to the printer, but I can't scan. I am trying to install CM2320series-win7-full-solution-AM-EMEA1-v3.1 to get the software with all the option but I received a message the system requirement of results form:

  This software cannot be installed using the command "run under...". ». The installation cannot continue until this is resolved.

  Need for Action: Click Cancel to exit this software installation. Log in and open a session as a user with administrator privileges. (Contact your system administrator for more information.) If there is no system administrator, ask the primary user of this computer installation software. Restard the installation by removing and re - insert the installation Cd.

  The coumputer has a single user with administrator privileges. Any help, please? I appreciate it.

  Thanks for your post on hp.com forums about windows pro 8.1 and the driver of the upd. Unfortunately, usage of the UPD driver you'll feature scan because it is a print driver only.

  Please see this document for the choice of driver for this product:

  According to the above, there is no solution available for this device scanning.

• LaserJet M1212nf MFP: Spring / roll jumped out of scanner flat.

  I had a paper jam while I was scanning several sheets in the feeder.  I opened the lid of the scanner and a spring / roll came out.  I am still able to print and scan from the tray, but I'm not able to use the charger.  I have attached a photo of the piece that jumped.  Anyone know where it's going?  Thanks in advance.

• LaserJet M1212nf: Problems setting up wireless printing

  I can set up to print from my laptop with a USB connection to the printer. I want to be able to print when away from my office, so have tried for 2 years, on and off, to get my printer to print wireless. I spent probably 10 + hours trying to get this set up. In the end, I always end up having to reinstall the printer with the same old USB connection.

  It drives me crazy. I'm a tech writer for a society of software and very savvy in computer science. However, my non-techie family have all managed to set up wireless printing at their home in 5 minutes or less with different brands of printers.

  Here are the steps that I followed, although I also tried many variations, like trying with my USB cable connected or disconnected.

  (1) uninstall the current installation of the printer (USB).

  (2) on the printer itself, make sure that the settings > network settings are the default values.

  (3) using the latest drivers and installation .exe from the HP site, start a new installation of the printer.

  (4) when you are prompted, select "wireless."

  RESULT: even if my firewall is turned OFF, search and indicates that he is there any printer on the network. (Huh? Which network?)

  (5) try again once and this time select "Network Setup."

  RESULT: even if my firewall is turned OFF, search and says that it cannot detect a network.

  If the wireless installation requires a network, but network installation does not cause a network to install, I don't know where to go from here.

  (6) I also tried downloading and installing the ePrint utility, but when I'm at halfway through the installation, it tells me that it cannot find my printer.

  I am suspicious that my model M1212nf MFP may even not allow for wireless printing. Some info on the HP site says to check a particular button lights up to indicate that the printer is online. This light does not exist on my printer model. However, the parameters of the printer from my physics has parameters such as: "show IP address," etc., which would lead me to believe that it can work wireless.

  I have read all the help related HP printer, and there is nothing which explains, in simple language, what are the types of cables, I need to set up a network and the Wi - Fi connection, when to plug them in, what facilities to perform on the many Add - ons available, etc.. I don't know that it's a 5 minute process if there was just a good explanation in the help of the UP of how do. Assistance would be appreciated!

  I understand that you have had problems for the last 2 years and spent many hours trying to configure your HP LaserJet Pro M1212nf MFP for wireless printing. At this point I'll provide more information about it. First of all, are sitting you?

  Unfortunately, the HP LaserJet Pro M1212nf multifunction printer isn't a model wireless printer. The "nf" at the end of the name of the printer is the abbreviation of 'network, fax. Therefore, if your printer is not able to connect to your router wireless, it CAN connect with an ethernet cable.

  All you need to do is connect an ethernet cable to the back of your printer to your router. That all devices connected to this router even (whether through wireless or wired ethernet connections) would be able to 'see' your printer on the network and print it on your printer. For more information on configuring ethernet on your printer, please visit: Setup the printer to a wired network in Windows 7 for HP's LaserJet printers.

  Now, if an ethernet connection does not work in your specific network, HP makes other Laserjet models that do not use the wireless function. Here are two LaserJet who are black only, multifunction wireless units that resemble your current printer model: HP LaserJet MFP HP LaserJet MFP M225dw Pro and M127fw Pro.

  I have to re - install my HP Laserjet M1213nf printer, but HP no longer supports this printer.  Where can I get a driver for this printer?  HP supports the LasetJet Pro M1212nf and I installed this driver, but it will not be printed.  When I try to print, it puts the impression in the queue, but I can't print.  If (by chance) I hit something that makes sense, it seems good.

  • Press the power button to turn the product on.
  • On the Control Panel, press the Setup button to open the main menu.
  • Press the left arrow key three times to select the system setup and press OK. The language option opens.
  • Press OK to open the language menu.
  • Press the right arrow key to select the language that you want to display, and then press OK.
    Press the back button to return to the main menu.

• HP Laserjet M1120 multifunction cannot NOT SWEEPING in 10.8.2 OS

  I use a brand new macbook air and HP laserjet M1120 multifunction printer. I upgraded to OS 10.8.2 out of the box and the printer was very easy to install, but the scan feature does not work.

  Under any menu, program, submenu, 10.8.2 OS doesn't recognize the M1120 is not only a printer, but also a scanner.  Its as if M1120 went from a multifunction on a monofonctions laser printer.

  The scan feature works very well with another Mac running 10.7 so I know its a problem with 10.8.2 compability.

  Been tirelessly searching for solutions on the internet (apparently I'm not the only person having problems scanning using HP devices) and 10.8.2 but cannot find a solution yet.

  Someone at - it suggestions? -also the printer was purchased by an Apple store a few years ago so furious if I can't make it work. Apart from this question with 10.8.2, the printer works fine.

• Set up a dial for Laserjet M1212nf group fax?

  I installed my all-in-one to a deskjet 4500 to the Laserjet M1212nf.

  On my old printer/fax, I could set up a speed dial to send the same fax to several fax numbers in the phone book with speed control knob just a dial.

  For the life of me I can't figure out how to set up a speed dial to a fax from the Group on this machine! It makes me NUTS. Is there a separator, you can use to enter multiple numbers or?

  I would be really disappointed if a feature I had on my cheap HP $69 ink jet is not available on this printer laserjet much nicer and more expensive.
