  My Macbook (2006) took a nose dive after a very solid 10 years of use. He has been blocked on the gray screen with the Apple logo and the spinning equipment. Forever. Would not boot mode safe mode or Recovery Mode. I accepted this.

  I'm currently trying join my school for the HARD of MB my iMac disk files. I removed the drive HARD internal of the MB. I have a SATA cable / USB. I plugged the cable on my iMac and initially nothing was recognized even if I could hear the disk rotation. After about 2-3 minutes I got a message telling me the disc HARD cannot be repaired, but I could always transfer files. Great! That's all I wanted to do. Well, the HARD drive appeared in the Finder and I tried to navigate to find important files I got a message telling me that the HARD drive has been expelled irregularly. So I disconnect it, plug it in. Another few minutes and I get the same message (cannot be repaired), but this time I have no HARD drive in the Finder. I tried to run first aid at the disk in disk utility, without success. Now I can't even pop-up in the Finder or disk utility when I plug. I can hear it running, but nothing happens, and then I get a message "disc not eject properly.

  My question is this: How can I get information from this my iMac HARD drive? Is there anything else I need to do? All I want to do is pull my notes of the current semester. Nothing else on this HARD drive as it was basically just a web browser/treatment for the past year.

  FWIW: I think I was running Lion as an operating system on the laptop that I couldn't progresses from here with updates. I'm under El Capitan on my iMac.

  This can happen if the iPod Photo Cache in your iPhoto library is corrupted.

  What version of iPhoto do you have?

  Try to remove the iPod Photo Cache in your iPhoto library, such as described here - see the link: iTunes: understand the folder iPod Photo Cache

  I recently bought subscription CC photoshop and lightroom.

  Lightroom yesterday automatically installed after installing creative application of cloud.

  Yes, this is a known problem, but it happens to cause less permissions on your mac in the folders in the library.

  Follow the below location and provide full read & write on records access.

  Lightroom is designed as a single-user system. Sync files between multiple computers requires that you jump many hoops.

  My recommendation and the simplest solution is to put your catalogue and pictures on an external drive and move the drive from one computer to another as needed.

  Copy of the catalog from computer to computer on your local network would be the next option.

  "Export as catalog" and "catalog import" would be the third option.

  Work completely against the grain here. If you want to use as your main tool to organize photos of records, you will be very satisfied with the Organizer. The concept behind the Organizer is that you let go of the idea of worrying where your photos are stored and then you use tags to organize and search for them instead.

  An album is not like a folder, not really. It's a collection of photos that you put together to make a design, such as online display or a slide show.

  First, let's start with the words:

  Keep track of your photos in the organizer with a catalogue, which is a database containing all the information of your marking. In General, adobe recommends that a single catalog for all your photos, because you cannot search across multiple catalogs. When you import photos, they went into a catalog, not in an album, usually.

  Once your photos are in the catalog, you assign a print to them to make it easy to find them. You can assign as many tags as you wish to each photo. To find photos later, look you for them by tags.

  You can put your photos in albums, too, but an album is not necessarily just the same as a folder. You can put pictures of many different files in an album, and whenever you click on the name of the album, you will see all the photos of this group.

  These Keynote files have been created on an iMac with Keynote 5.0.3 some on the current machine. On trying to reopen now, after the transfer to the MacBook and back again (while resuming the current iMac to El Capitan for OS X 10.6.8), text in a title on each slide area opens properly, but text in other boxes, some with bulleted lists, has each character replaced with a small rectangular box containing the letter 'A '. with these boxes tightly overlap.

  More info: I found out that this problem only occurs with text in Helvetica Neue. If I select the truncated text and change the font, the text appears correctly in the new font. I tried to install a new copy of Helvetica Neue in the font book and turning off the old, but it makes no difference. Each copy of Helvetica Neue works perfectly fine in other applications. It is more and more a puzzle!
