I received ' disruptive account alert from the Windows Live team ( * address email is removed from the privacy * ), asking me to provide my personal information, including the password. It is also said that if I didn't, my account will be disabled. What should I do?

MS will never send you an email asking you to password or personal information. Delete the e-mail. It is NOT legitimate.

    It is not Microsoft.  It is a public-to-peer forum of mutual support where questions are asked and answers to Windows 7 users.

    No one here is able to check that the spam you received is, indeed, spam, but it does not look like it.  There are many like her all the time.

  • I was blocked from my Windows Live Hotmail account, and there is no one to talk with to allow me access to it.

    I've been locked out of my HOTMAIL and there is nobody to talk with to allow me access to it.  I had to sign with another user for the Live ID account, and I can't get back my regular HOTMAIL account.  A hacker sent letters to everyone in my e-book asking money from them to get out me of Cyprus.  I don't understand all this madness.  I just want my account back but you refuse to allow me to connect.  I'm locked up.  Give advice on how to recover my account.

    It is a common phishing e-mail - it's bin.

    The idea is in the links embedded in the headers of enamel and the request for information by e-mail

    Sites form of legitimate emails will NEVER ask for personal information by e-mail (unless you started the conversation) - they STILL will be asked to log in and do what is necessary.

    It is of fraud email, never disclose your password. No providers including hotmail will ask you to check your e-mail password. Just block the sender and delete the email.

    Change the password on this topic (in the normal way - just be wise on this subject), and then try again.  If you can still access - you have almost been victim of the scam.

    I'm not very computer so pls excuse and stupid questions I can ask.  My cousin has used my laptop to check emails on MSN and from the windows live messenger sign in the window if poster every time I turn on it is pinned to my taskbar.   I can X out of it but he returned the next time I turn it on.
