Alignment of the column / paging in interactive reports

Hello

All questions are answered for reports, but I have an INTERACTIVE REPORT and could not understand how to solve these problems for the formatting of column section in there not for interactive reports.

1. the alignment of the column does not work. Is there a work around for this?
2. I have very long column names. How can I wrap the column names?
3. is there a way for paging through the last/first pages of the interactive report?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you
Booth.

  • paging on interactive report - how to move on my layout

well, I work with the basic interactive report, no settings. My final user does not seem to worry much horizontal scrolling, although it goes against my standards of web dev personal to do without important need. But with the models as they are, the paging for Recordset next/previous is WAAAY more to the right. I find it annoying, and in the interest of my user, I want to left-align it. I looked on Google, did a search in this forum and checked the docs of the APEX, not much leaping out of me. • Referencing columns in an interactive report

I need to bind an interactive interactive master report by their SUMMIT in a detailed report. Both reports have a common column name (PCN). To create a link from the main report to the detailed report, we must specify a 'name' in the "links" column for the column section in the main report. My question is: How do you reference a column in an interactive report, and therefore an entry can be provided in the 'Name' box in the section "links" column?

I have developed a solution by creating a text element (P1_PCN) in the detailed report and using P1_PCN as 'name '. I then changed the source for the report to be: select... where CPN =: p1_pcn. However, what would we do if the community wants the feature click on a variety of values in column in the main report, for example filter the detailed report with a value of NCP or STHN or UIC, etc.? I rather think it was possible, but it would be very cludgy.

    Thank you

Basically, you do it the right way.

If you are sure that there is no column values that overlap, you can change the report detail something like query

    select . . .
    where (pcn = :p1_pcn
      or sthn = :p1_pcn
      or uic = :p1_pcn

  • Allowing the display of the icon in an interactive report

    Hi all

I would like to add a screenshot to show what exactly is the nature of the problem, but because I can't, I'll give you as much detail as possible.

Therefore, any way, to the Apex 4, I activated the "icon view" in the "attributes of interactive report' a 'interactive report. Once I've run the application, I switch the view of the report "Icon view" and then disable the "search bar" (in "interactive report attributes") in the order of restraint from the user to the view "icon. Everything works great, I got the application to load the icons and display them with a cute text... but then, even if the report is displayed as a horizontal 'list', I still stock with some of the borders in view of the report, + when I scroll my mouse on one of the icons, it to highlight all the icons of the line as it will do for an interactive report line. So what I would do, is to completely hide the border of reports and to disable mouseover option.

I tried to solve these two ' detail using the customizing options offered by Apex, but I couldn't find anything. I'm open to suggestions...

  • How to get the name of the element in a column in an interactive report?

I've created an interactive report. I then added, on the same page, a region in a table. I want to set up is that, when I click on a button link column on a specific line, the name of the line went from the region in a table, so that the region in a table may list the matching items that belong to this specific line. But I have no idea what his name is. Any idea? Thank you!

    Hello

Go to the interactive report attributes and then scroll down to the link column. Select the link target custom column, specify the link image and then you can assign the value of a column in a row of the page item (you can use #EMPNO to assign the value of the P2_EMPNO element with empno #.) In the form of tables create a where clause clause with this item id to filter the selected records.

I tried your proposal, but it has no effect. The cells in the report show all their content using as many lines as you need for this.

This is the default behavior for the HTML table data (tables and cells grow to fit their content).

So I have always with lots of lines, lines and lines with only a few mixed lines in my IR dependant on the contents of the cell. Because some lines almost filling the whole screen, it is difficult to get an overview with regard to adjacent lines.
I use the Application Express 4.1.1.00.23. with the theme 21. Scarlet and Firefox 17.0.1.

    All users using Firefox?

In fact, I'm working on my first APEX Solution for use in my business and demanding customers a solution for this topic. So I'm very keen to find a solution.
I am very looking forward to your reply.

I have been involved in similar questions in the past. My first reaction is simple: these data must be included in the report? The offending column can be removed from the primary report? They will always be visible in the display of the row and the detail view when it exists.

The second option is to create a detailed view of the report with a structure that is better suited to the data concerned and make it the default view. (For an example, see the treatment of the PRODUCT_DESCRIPTION column in the detail view of the report in the sample database Application: click the show details on the product page.)

The third possibility is some sort of customization of the presentation of the data. It will be using a combination of HTML/CSS/dynamic of the Actions/Plug-ins/JavaScript that you may not be familiar with: do you have any experience of these? To go this route, you must describe in detail how you want to present data, or what behavior is required when the data is too long and share a sample of the report on the apex.oracle.com we can work with.

  • Select columns when downloading interactive reports

    Hello
We have a requirement defined by Oracle Corporate Security Architecture Review Board to prevent some columns to display when downloading interactive reports in csv format. They should appear on the report, but not on the csv output.

I vaguely remember it was possible when interactive reports have been made public, but I can't find a way to do so at the ApEx 4.1? When I go to the print attributes > columns in the report, I can see the list of columns, and they all get to see the report = Yes, but there is no way to make it no. it seems that all the selected columns to display in the interactive report are automatically included in the download.

Our applications are hosted on apex.oraclecorp.com, I can provide more details if necessary.

Please inform if there is a way to exclude the columns during the download.

  • Send the implicit parameter to interactive report

    Hello developers,
I have a how to question: I automatically want the value of a parameter implicit to interactive reports, for example, a filter column equal with values and view records on this basis. Also for reports display buttons, I need to display the only detail view option, without showing the search bar.
If you know of examples, I apreciate if you let me know.
    Thank you.

    Hello

You like to 'manage' the layout of the page, I suggest you actually my third solution - custom report template - as this allows available the page exactly as you wish.

That's what I did on this page: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=267:230

The SQL code of this report is:

    SELECT EMPNO,
    ENAME,
    HIREDATE,
    DEPTNO,
    JOB,
    MGR,
    SAL,
    COMM
    FROM EMP
    ORDER BY UPPER(ENAME)

Note that there are 8 columns.

Then, I went the components shared, models and you click Create. I made the following adjustments/selections:

    Model type: report

    Create the model: from scratch

    Model name: used alone
    Template class: Custom 1
Model type: named column (model line)

That sets up a basic model. When it was created, scroll down to the new model in the list and click the name to edit it. Now, enter the following code in the settings:

    Fourth parameter model 1:

    <tr><td colspan="2" style="font-weight:bold; background-color:lightblue;">Personal Information:</td></tr>
    <tr><td><b>Employee Number:</b></td><td>#1#</td></tr>
    <tr><td><b>Name:</b></td><td>#2#</td></tr>
    <tr><td><b>Hired on:</b></td><td>#3#</td></tr>
    <tr><td colspan="2" style="font-weight:bold; background-color:lightblue;">Department Information:</td></tr>
    <tr><td><b>Department:</b></td><td>#4#</td></tr>
    <tr><td><b>Role:</b></td><td>#5#</td></tr>
    <tr><td><b>Manager:</b></td><td>#6#</td></tr>
    <tr><td colspan="2" style="font-weight:bold; background-color:lightblue;"><b>Salary Information:</b></td></tr>
    <tr><td><b>Basic Salary:</b></td><td>#7#</td></tr>
    <tr><td><b>Commission:</b></td><td>#8#</td></tr>

    Setting lines before:

    <table>
    <col style="width:250px;">
    <col style="width:250px;">

    After adjustment of ranks:

    <tr><td colspan="2">#PAGINATION#</td></tr>
    </table>

    Next Page template parameter:

    <a href="#LINK#" class="t18pagination">#PAGINATION_NEXT# ></a>

    Previous Page template parameter:

    <a href="#LINK#" class="t18pagination">< #PAGINATION_PREVIOUS#</a>

    Following the Template value setting:

    <a href="#LINK#" class="t18pagination">#PAGINATION_NEXT_SET# >></a>

    Previous value Template setting:

    <a href="#LINK#" class="t18pagination"><< #PAGINATION_PREVIOUS_SET#</a>

Note that under the line model 1, I used #1 #, 2 # #, 3 # etc. They focus on the numbers in the column in the SQL statement - I have 8 columns, so used #1 # to #8 # position where I want the values to be. Everything in the scene is available the report - you can use what is layout you like. The only requirement is that the #PAGINATION # in the middle of the lines should be in a table.

Now update your report in order to use the new model and to set the number of rows to 1 so that you see only one record at a time
