Can connect to internet when my L20 runs own PSU, but when the battery level is low and demand for external power, internet connection is lost when my power adaptor attatched. In addition, internet does not connect if the external power supply is used from the outset. Disconnect the external power supply and run on battery, the internet connection can now take place! • HP 8200 elite CMT: can I use an external power supply for AMD Radeon HD graphics card 7770?

I have HP 8200 elite CMT CPU in which 320 watts PSU is installed. I want to use AMD Radeon HD 7770 requiring more power (minimum 400 watts power supply) for maximum performance. But the fact is, the higher Watt PSU is not available for my cpu because its cables do not match that. So I ask if I can use the external power supply to power my GPU instead of the CPU power. Will be this harm to my PC?

"A significant update of the BIOS of the system is available, but the computer is not connected to the external power supply.  Please connect the external power supply and then press Enter to continue. »

The computer is connected to the power of HP to the original address since it is the only way so he can turn it on.  I tried removing the battery and from the update only the connected power and get the same result.

    Hi Hans.

See is one the PrecisionHDMC camera User Guide on pg 9, 2.5 x camera has a power connector as well as the 4 x and 12 x cameras of.  It does not say that the power connector is for future use, so it doesn't seem like it supports an external power supply at the moment.

  • P0.0 6516-setting PCI to high causes the voltage drop across the external power supply

    Hello

I use a PCI 6516 for 24V output. I have my power supply connected to pin 5 positive cable and the negative to pin 19. When I put the port 0, line 0 (P0.0) high heat, I have a voltage drop on the power supply to about 1.9V. There is no other son so there is no short circuit anywhere. The rest of the lines work very well when I put them on high. The automatic test works very well, and I tried to reset the unit several times. Could there be potential damage to this specific port? All the solutions to this problem, or anything that may have caused this behavior?

It requires care supply 2 x 8 pins and adapter I installed is not always able to provide enough power. HP chat support wasn't any help. Do I need to install a new power supply that provides power sheets 8 pin pci-e?

    @MacTheSteve, welcome to the forum.

This is Service and Maintenance Guide for the workstation.

I contacted StarTech to see if they would have an adapter 'Y' which had two 8-pin power connectors.  However, those that they should be the following on your motherboard or the power supply:

StarTech Brandon: basically, there are 4 SATA power or LP4 molex.

I believe that your diet is enough power, but simply do not have the required connectors.  At least, I don't the seen on the diagram of the motherboard.  It seems that you need to upgrade the PSU.

  • Satellite Pro L300 - required external power supply (power car)

    Hi all

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 and want to plug it into my car supply.
The battery is 10.7 volts and the charger is 19 volts. I do not think that plug into the car is causing a problem, but there is no mention of this in the manual.

Has anyone tried this and it worked great.
I didn't wan't to recharge the battery just to be able to run the laptop for more than the battery allows.

    Hello

You need a car adapter to connect the laptop to the 12V car

Looking in google for adapter cigarette lighter for Satellite Pro L300?
To do this, and you'll get some hits

Otherwise, you can order this part of the Toshiba authorized service partner in your country.

  • Qosmio X 500 stop during the game - but only on the external power supply!

    Hello.

Since I updated my BIOS to 2.9 I had this HUGE problem. And now, I created a user here, in the hope of my colleagues advice owners of Toshiba.

Let me cut it, as it's enough for me confused.

I bought the computer in March 2010 - is still under warranty.
I updated the BIOS from 2.8 to 2.9. I always kept my computer up to date with the latest drivers Toshiba - and is still.
But now, after update BIOS, all of a sudden, my computer shuts down, rotates instantly, as if someone pulled the cord and there is no battery attached.
But it happens that whenever I start a GPU really requiring program/application. It is not happed when I use the computer for all the days of the things or watch movies etc.

I put it well 3DVantage and of course, it crashed.

    BUT!

If I pull the rope and let it run on battery - even if the performance that comes out is less - it does not crash, never, in any game that would break if I had the string attached.

I was in touch with Toshiba service in Scandinavia - I live here and they couldn't tell me what was the problem, but they were pretty sure that it was not related to the BIOS, because while I was talking to them, I installed 2.8, and it's the same thing.

It has been sprayed, treated and some more with compressed air, and if there is no dust left, it would be like concrete. I ran the game in windowed mode, while having Speedfan running, the temperature will never be greater than 65 degrees Celsius. So it isn't heat related.
I used 3DVantage to test the CPU and see if that too would break, once again nothing.

I think the long terms of workload. The GPU goes off when the workload exceeds a certain percentage/voltage/whatever and something in the BIOS which controls it, changed or left unchanged and there for is not skilled with the rest of the updates to the BIOS.
Or maybe the problem is not BIOS related? is it something else? I'm really confused and the fact that I can use it for simple tasks, only confuses me even more - so this is only a part of the graphics card which is damaged?

Even if it is under warranty, wait 10 days (if I'm really, really lucky, like place I bought it, is not exactly known for good service condition) is the last option.

This explanation is rather long, but I'm not not short versions, and if you feel like I left something, say so, and I'll do my best to provide you with information.

    Thanks in advance!
    Nikolaj.

    > Speedfan shows also a tab called Temp1 - ACPI... It may be offtopic, but what is?
When I order the windows event log, it shows some errors about ACPI: (translated by myself from Danish)

Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) specification is an open standard and defines independent interfaces for hardware discovery, configuration, power management and monitoring.

66 temperature is not too high so I n t think that automatic shutdown of the bottom are related to temperature.

I have your case, I recommend reinstalling the OS window once more; install the operating system preinstalled Toshiba using the recovery disk.
Then check the features of the laptop. I mean that you should not install any other software before checking the laptop. In many cases 3rd party software could lead to problems of different laptop then you should check the laptop using factory settings.

  • External power supply for node 3202

    Hello

I would like to design a solar energy system to the 3202 end node. But I'm not sure how to determine energy 3202 needs?

The external node power input is labeled with 9 - 30V, 2 w max. However, NEITHER provides funds (among to the 3202 node accessories) power which provides the power of 12 VDC up to 1.25 by 15 w.

If I use the 12V battery, that the current rating (or power) should be? 2W or 12V, 12V, 15W.

    Thank you

    Ahmed

I got the answer of the team of Technical Support OR Arabia.

    Here is their response:

The 3202 node would be damaged if it takes more power of 2W. But when you connect a 12VDC with 1 battery. 25 a nominal current max, then the node 3202 draws much less current according to their needs.

  • external usb hub not detected in vista sp2-hub external power supply a

I can plug my external hard drive directly into my laptop and it is detected instantly.  If I use the external hub, the drive is not detected.  all the drivers are updated, no conflict of resources in "not advanced" deactivation of controller caused improved host machine to freeze and had to do a restore.  There are many applications of this kind.  Please note that the procedures on Hub controllers to uninstall gave results little according to the correspondence of blog.  No matter what other tactics very appreciated.  will try to uninstall, but skeptical.  Intelligence is in the hub of USB 2.0 on the laptop, as evidenced by its ability to detect.  He can not just extend to the external usb hub.  Please advise, it defies logic.

    Hello

The player and the hub are not compatible I've seen. Maybe try a different HUB.
(Is the HUB you use powered, otherwise this could also be a possible cause of wiring).

    I hope this helps.
