Hey dhender,
Looks like the file association is messed up. Change the file association for help and Support and see if it works.
Here's how to fix the associated file.
a. Click Start and type default programs in the start search field.
b. click default programs list programs.
c. click on associate a type of file or Protocol with a program.
d. find the .hlp file.
e. Select .hlp file and click Change program.
f. Select Windows Winhlp32 Stub list.
This should be it.
Detailed explanation of the file association is available here.

Dell is like that. I'd go to at support.Dell.com and use of the tag numbers of express service (at the bottom of the computer) go to drivers > service tag in > find driver for wifi > download and install.

Also cannot save new passwords. In Options > security I checked that save password is checked. Still, my synchronized browsers have their password.
Hello gpearson100, please remove the addon "Remember passwords 1.1", because its functionality is now integrated into the browser itself and the addon is known to cause problems with password manager.

I can also access the Fireworks or balloons etc. when someone sends me a message with one of these options, he says that it under what they did but I do not see it in my phone.
You reduce Motion activated? This will prevent you to use effects of iMessage. Go to settings > general > accessibility > reduce > Motion > disable "reduce the Motion."

Help and Support Update, still holding
My computer is running Windows Vista. He tried to install a recent Windows recommended update that was supposed to update the help files. Installation is stuck at 100%, but I don't know if it's over. Now, whenever I restart it sits on configuring updates forever. I don't know if he can never 100% Setup because I fall asleep before it is done, and when I wake up it is on my login page. However, when I connect and then try to use 'Help and Support', I get the following message, "help and Support can not open because Windows Update installs new help content. You can start Help again when the update is complete. "It's been 4 days and the update is not complete! Is there a way to stop the installation for my computer is not constantly trying to set up and I get locked out for hours when I restart?
Hello
I suggest you to refer to the link below and reset Windows Update components and check if that helps resolve the issue.

Cannot open 'help and support '.
When I click on help and support, I get the error message:

Try again when your laptop is connected to the Internet. As far as I know it works if the laptop is on the net only.

Start - Run - type cmd this will bring you to the command prompt screen.
Type sfc/scannow hit entry.
Let him finish, could take an hour +.

I can't update "windows" or "windows defender". Followed the steps described by Microsoft help, tried to download manually, have asked Microsoft to help (no response yet) these first two things didn't work. I even had something like; change setting.that message security came for "Windows update", I have change the security setting, did not just well, still nothing.
Windows Defender gives me an error code that looks like this;
Error Code 0 x 80070005
That's all I can get, and it will not update.
and on top of it, I've lost my "Microsoft Help and support (it) when I click Start and click Help and support, I get a (?) all help options or when I click on it nothing there is totally 'empty '.
I have one more problem.
I tried to defrag my computer, and I can't do it either. I get a grey screen and if I click on anylise or defragment, it does nothing, no error message or anything else. Tried to manually defragment Traore does not work, tried to load a defrag on the web program, wouldn't let me load it.
Nobody knows what happens here? why I'm having these problems all of a sudden? I do nothing but send E-mails and read my emails and I do not browse the internet or enter sites that are safer. So, what can I do? How to make everything return to normal? can someone help me with this?
Also let me tell you right now, I'm not an expert on how to do things on the computer, so I'm scitish when it receives or sounds complicated. I don't want to lose my entire system because of these unfortenate none of the work programmes.Hello shessy49, welcome.
I would recommend that we run a SFC (System File Checker) first scan to see what he finds. Try this:
1. click on START
2 type "msconfig" (without the quotes) and press enter
3. go to the "Startup" tab and uncheck all the entries displayed
4. click on 'Apply' at the bottom right
5 restart your computer---
After the reboot
---1. click on START
2. Type "cmd" (without the quotes). Right-click on the result at the top of the menu START and select 'run as administrator '.
3. type "sfc/scannow" (without the quotes) and press enterIf the question started very recently, you can try a system restore:
1. click on START
2. click on "all programs".
3. click on "Accessories".
4. click on "system tools."
5. click on "system restore."6 follow the prompts shown to restore your system to a date before the problem started. Although the system restore does not target the personal data, it is recommended that you back up all data such as music, photos and documents in case something is not bad.
Let us know what happens
Thank you!

Long time since I used XP but I seem to remember that if you do start - run msconfig [back] in my view, there are Services tab there where you can change the aid stopped service to start.
