All Live Mail emails have disappeared
All of my old emails and I had set up folders disappeared. It seems I have a brand new installation of Live Mail, not registered email and home folders. My accounts are still there.
Help
Bob
... import it from there.
Import? How did you do that? If your messages in the folder named Recovered items under storage folders, were already (= even) in Windows Live Mail and needs no "importing." If they don't find their way into their appropriate automatically records (for example after closing, wait a few minutes and then restart the program a couple of times), you could just select messages and then do a right click and move to a folder.

XP: Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail - Emails have disappeared
My boss had some problems a few months where a piece of his e-mails have been deleted. Like a year or two of a value. He had a ton of emails in their Inbox. Just recently he started having the same e-mail repeatedly. I decided to download windows live mail and install it on his computer. It is running XP.
I installed live mail. He acknowledged the current e-mail account, he is using Outlook Express (POP3). However, there is only the latest e-mail messages. So, I went to windows live mail and click on file - import - and I imported Outlook Express 6. He asked me what files and I clicked on the button that says it all.
He went through the process and declared finished. It was supposed to put the files in the storage folder. I check the records of storage and there is nothing in the Inbox sent items folder has its old emails in them. I looked around, in the other Inbox for the normal email account there and there is nothing more.
I'm going to switch back to outlook express and its Inbox has no emails as well. I'm like ooohhhh _. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it.
I don't know if it compacted emails in outlook express.
Thanks in advance - James
For now, let's deal with Outlook Express.
Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

About file Corruption:
http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/IE/community/columns/filecorruption.mspxRecovery methods:
If you use XP/SP2 or SP3, and are fully patched, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.
To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.
Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.
Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.
Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.
First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.
If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.
If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.
If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:DBXpress run in extract disc Mode is the best chance to recover messages:
http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/default.aspxAnd see:
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4A general warning to help avoid this in the future:
Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.
Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

The shot to the top of Thunderbird, this morning, the last 12 months of emails have disappeared from my Inbox. Older emails are still there. The new mails are still on my phone. Other accounts in Thunderbird (hotmail, gmail, etc.) do not seem to have been affected. This seems to be a special relationship between Thunderbird and BT internet email. I would be really grateful for any help. Thank you.
Hi - Thanks for taking the time to answer for me. No, the problems don't moved earlier. My wife also has a near-dormant BTinternet account which is accessible from the Thunderbird even on the same computer. Which has proved to work very well. I found that there were many problems with the BT e-mail yesterday and my problem was resolved later (2 hours on the phone) by a very helpful Lady in BT who virtually rebuilt my account. Even my security questions were rejected. I think that BT Yahoo email had major problems yesterday and he had nothing to do with Firefox - so please accept my apologies if I've wasted your time. Again thank you and best regards.

Boxes that allowed me to select the emails have disappeared.
In Thunderbird, you use methods of standard selection on the computer.
Click on a message to select it, then control + a = select all
Click on message 1, up or down several messages and hold the SHIFT key while clicking on the message 2 = messages selects one and two, and all the messages between the two
Hold down the CTRL key while clicking random messages = SΘlectionner any message clicked on
Hold down the CTRL key while clicking on a selected message = deselect this message

I accidentally restore my iphone6 to an old back upward, and then all my recent photos have disappeared, is it possible to restore? I need help. Please, I beg you. I'm so desperate
Hi desperateme
Your recent photo (in the last 30 days) should be in the photo stream assuming that you use.
Otherwise you can just clean up the phone (settings > General > reset > erase all & content settings) and restore the phone again to a more recent backup.

Hi Doug MacDonald.
- Did you the latest changes on the computer?
- What web browser are you using to print Web pages?
If you use Internet explorer, then change the margin settings to the title of the page setup in the file menu and check if that helps.
See the articles below and check if it helps.

Original title: help & support files
Windows 7 Professional. All help & support files have disappeared. I get the message "help and support files cannot start."
How to return please?.
Perhaps. An analysis of file system I think would replace the help files, but you can try it, there is no harm. Just open a command prompt (right click and "open as Administrator"), and then type sfc/scannow

I have try the Lightroom CC and all my development tools have disappeared. When I select develop, the sidebar is completely blank - black - nothing. Where all the settings go and how can I get back them?
If the Panel is visible and completely empty, open the window-> Menu panels and put checkmarks in the ones you want to display. Alternatively, you can simply press Ctrl/1-6 to bring the different sections. If the sidebar is gone, click the midway small gray triangle on the right side of your screen. Click twice to make it remain displayed.

I have a HP with Windows Vista computer. For the last few days whenever I try to access my email using Windows Mail, a Windows security box appears you request for my user name and password that are not accepted when I type in and to "allow" with a lock symbol appears low to the right of the screen, where "incoming mail" would normally appear. I get the occasional batch of e-mails through but only once per day. Two days ago, all of my original emails (about 1,000) have disappeared from my Inbox. I rang my phone co co/email, microsoft and the manufacturers of my coomputer, but everyone tells me problem of is the other company. Meanwhile, I am really concerned about all the emails that I lost. Can anyone suggest how to get rid of this security box and restore all my lost emails? Help!
Hello
1. Since when are you facing this problem?
2 did you changes to Windows Mail settings?
I suggest you follow these methods and check.
Method 1: Windows message store can be damaged or corrupted. You can try to rebuild the message store.
Rebuild the Windows Mail message store
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/941090Note: Follow the method 1 first, which is mentioned in the link above. If rebuilding the message store does not help, follow method 2 to rebuild the Windows Mail folder.
Method 2: Solve problems with Windows Mail
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-problems-with-Windows-Mail
I also suggest you to update the virus for your anti-virus definitions. In addition, make sure you have all the windows security updates installed on your computer.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
