All of a sudden, firefox 6 is holding still to load.

Just started today. Have you tried to restart the computer a couple of times and it did not help. Have installed nothing again.

Exactly what happens when you try to start Firefox? It open but simply cannot connect to Web sites? That could be caused by your security software firewall, especially if update you Firefox. See solve connection problems to websites after Firefox update.

If this isn't the problem, try some troubleshoot and diagnose problems in Firefox. See if you can start Firefox Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode by pressing the SHIFT key as you double-click the Firefox icon... then select 'Continue in Safe Mode' when the Firefox Safe Mode window appears. If Firefox starts in Mode safe, follow the steps of Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to see if you can find the source of the problem.

If Firefox still does not start, either post back with more information or try the solutions here:

I am running Windows XP and suddenly find that Firefox fills my whole screen. Of course I pressed a key combination that has created this problem, but I can't get it back to normal. The Firefox toolbars at the top of the screen disappeared and so I can't access my favorites. The windows at the bottom of the screen status bar disappeared. Help, please!

Apparently, you have set Firefox to auto update. He has probably updated to the new version, Firefox 4.0.

To check if this is true, go to your bar menu at the top of the screen. If you don't see the menu bar, you can activate it by right clicking on an empty area in the upper part. Of this, you should see the menu bar, toolbar Tools Navigation, Bookmarks Toolbar, toolbar add-on, etc.. Click on those you want to activate.

  • All of a sudden, after a update of firefox, I get "this connection is untrusted" for Facebook, no matter if I use http: or https:, WHY?

All of a sudden, after a update of firefox, I get "this connection is untrusted" for Facebook, no matter if I use http: or https:, WHY? Here are all the details of the error message:

    This connection is Untrusted

You asked Firefox to connect safely to facebook.com, but we cannot confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect safely, sites will present a reliable identification to prove that you're in the right place. However, the identity of this site cannot be verified.
    What should I do?

If you normally connect to this site without problems, this error can mean that someone is trying to impersonate the identity of the site, and you should not continue.

This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HST) to specify that Firefox didn't connect safely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.

Facebook.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.

    (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

    (Also included a screenshot).

    COR - el said

You can check the date and time and time zone in the clock on your computer: (double) click on the clock icon in the Windows taskbar.

You can retrieve the certificate and check details such as WHO issued the certificates and the expiration dates of certificates.

    • Click on the link at the bottom of the error page: "I understand the risks".
    • Let Firefox recover the certificate: "Add Exception"-> "get certificate".
    • Click on the button "View" and inspect the certificate and the Coachman, who is the issuer.

You can see more details like the intermediate certificates that are used in the Details tab.

If you cannot inspect the certificate by "I understand the risks", then try this:

Open the chrome URI by pasting or typing this URI in the address bar to open the window "Add the Security Exception" and to check the certificate:

    • chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.XUL

In the field location type and paste the URL of the Web site

    • retrieve the certificate via the button 'Get certificate '.
    • Click on the "view..." button. "to inspect the certificate in the certificate display

Check which is the issuer of the certificate.

You can get more details like the certificate chain in the Details tab of the certificate display.

  • All of a sudden I can't copy and paste copy/cut/paste is not available in Mozillia firefox. Never seen that before

I have never seen this before when I try to copy and paste, I get a
' Copy/cut/paste is not available in Mozilla and firefox. Do you want more information about this issue? "
I copied and pasted hundreds of times before with Mozilla and firefox. This just happened all of a sudden.
When I go to find more information on this issue, it gives a long explanation I can't follow.
    That's happened?

When you click the link, the page immediately said you that you can not copy, or which occurs as soon as you click on copy the location of the link?

If it immediately, you can pass a parameter in Firefox that should prevent the normal context menu blocking sites. Here's how you would do that:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste the context and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference dom.event.contextmenu.enabled from true to false.

This setting has a complication: right-click on Google Maps and other sites that have their own menu, menu Firefox then crashes the site menu. To clear the menu of Firefox so you can access the site button menu tap ESC or the ALT key once (but sometimes Esc deletes both).

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, when in doubt, turn off.
