all the pages of bad qualities with the toner after replacing the toner cartridge

I just replaced the old cartridge with a new one, but now the pages come out covered in black toner to make the text unreadable. I tried to turn the drum several times following the directions to distribute the toner evenly, but the problem remains. Please advise?

Hi, Happytohelp01.

Thanks for your kind response,

I use a black and white HP Laserjet 1010.

I am trying to print a text, the printer does not have a digitization Center.

Yes, this is the first time that I had no problem with this printer.

The toner is melted and begins to run out, so I replaced it with a new replacement cartridge I bought the printer about three years ago. Later, I shook and reinstalled the old cartridge, which seems to work very well with no black spots. The new toner would be obsolete?

So, I just got the officejet pro 8500 wireless. follow the instructions in game. at the start he said that ALL the ink cartridges are missing or damaged. I have a hard time believing that, if something is down or I missed something very basic in the installation program.

I tried to remove the cartridges and re - install. Also checked that they are in the correct order. Don't know what to try next.

Well he chalked it up to random mishap. I installed the software to see if she said something more useful. not a lot, but he pointed out that he was missing all the cartridges. I went back and exchanged the printer. the replacement is fine.

  • Problems with folder permissions after replacing the hard drive

    Hello

Recently, I replaced the hard drive on my mac.  Already before the replacement, I got the files that I had locked.  Now I'm unable to open the file.  I get the error "the folder 'nom_de_dossier' can not be opened because you don't have permission to see its content".  I looked at the permissions for the folder and everything he says is fetch.  I ran a command in the Terminal and for one of the records in question, that's what I see-

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Running OS X El Capitan

    10.11.4 version

    Try this first:

Start the mac all holding the SHIFT key, it is slow, connection, and then select Restart from the Apple menu.

    When this does not help:

Reset password utility in the recovery Partition:

    1. Restart your computer from the recovery partition.
    2. Open disk utility and run a repair permissions on your boot volume (in ElCapitan click the first aid tab). Once this completed, close disk utility. We do this for good measure.
    3. Open a Terminal from the Utilities menu. Type in resetpassword and select your user (NOT administrator system/root) account in the menu drop-down.
    4. Click on the Reset button at the bottom of the window ACL section and Reset the folder permissions.
    5. Exit the utility password and return to the main recovery menu.
    6. On your keyboard, press + Q and restart your computer. It is very important that you don't hold down the power button to exit the recovery session, or the ACL Reset to occur.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 has left black print all the time

Just recentily my printer prints as if it was almost out of black ink (text has missing parts and streaks).  If I have a third level cleaning I can finally return to normal black.  After a few printed pages, it begins printing with portions of the rear lack again.

When I do the cleaning of the print head of all colors but black shows correct in the first and second level cleaning.

All the ink cartridges show good levels.

    Show the print heads.

My question is my back ink cartridge would be haviing a power problem the ink in the print head?  Is there something in the third level of cleaning that would make the flow of the ink properly for a short time?  This problem appeared after I replaced the black ink, but not immediately.  I have always used HP ink cartridges in the printer.  I'm tempted just ro replace black with another cartridge to see which takes care of the problem but didn't do it if anyone else had the problem and found a solution.

Just tried to replace the cartridge with a new back and I'm having the same problem with it.

    Hey there 3R.

Thanks for the images and information! Which really kinda helps.

I notice that the black is better temporarily by the third cleaning, and also consider other colors, I have noticed them all degrading by the third cleaning. According to me, this looks like a problem with the two print heads, now I can visibly see Printing outs. The yolk is less apparent among peach and green and the cyan and magenta also show a lower quality tone.

Replace the print heads cannot guarantee a fix.

I always suggest calling HP to see what are your options for a trade.

I hope that my opinions and suggestions helped you some.

    All the best,

  • 1320c streaks on the left flank, even after replacing PHD

I have a DELL 1320c color laser printer about 2-3 years. A month or two ago it started printing the colours black and cyan light on the left side of the page.  A trail of light about 2 inches of width. Magenta is also a little lighter in the same place, but not as bad as black or cyan, which are very obvious. Yellow seems unaffected.

I read the online help of DELL for the printer and he said this issue was most likely due to a printhead device worn and that they should replace all 20,000 copies. Then I ordered in a new PhD and successor scrupulously the instructions.  But the question remains the same! Even with a brand new doctorate it prints black and light cyan for the left 2 inches from top to bottom on the page, exactly like the old doctor.  PhD cost me only less than the price of a new printer!

I also tried to replace with new toner cartridges. Still no change.  The toner will not rub off, so I don't see what is a fuser issue.

Anyone has any ideas on what could cause this problem?  The help documentation is not any other possible causes.

This mode of failure is unfortunately too often to go without explanation. The solution is actually quite easy (but complex) if it's not an oxymoron. The Dell 1320c is the licensed version of the Xerox Phaser 6125/6130 printer (who also suffers from the same disease). It's really a shame, since the printers do a great job of printing color accurate. IMO, the Xerox is better than the Dell. This is determined by the machine firmware and drivers, as printers are mechanically identical.

The cause of the problem is the nipples of spring for K of waste and feed toner. On some machines, toner cartridges and some developers of K, the coupling between the nipples on the K and K toner cartridge developer becomes poor. Most often, you replace the toner cartridge K, the risk that this situation occurs. When the K toner is locked in place, the insulating foam on the front is supposed to surround and seal, the nipples on the developer of K. This is the path of the power/exit for toner K to/from the developer. When the seal fails, excess toner K can begin slowly to the 'dust' the vertical wall that you see when the PhD is removed. The same is true for the other tonics, but because they are progressively lower, they have fewer adverse effects.

Behind this wall is (LSU) laser scanning unit. So that the "dusting" toner K continues, it can easily drift past the lenses that you see when you remove the doctorate. Toner settles on the LSU reflective mirrors (usually 1 or 2 in particular due to their orientation). As this drift toner continues to accumulate on the mirror reflective (s), it begins finally to block the laser beam to achieve OPC PHD drums. The result is a printed page with vertical columns of faded print (as shown in the photos posted earlier). Faded columns can be any width, depending on how much the reflecting mirror is contaminated. Because of the way that the reflective mirrors are arranged from LSU, black and cyan images are most often affected. The inside surface of the lens can also be sprinkled toner compartment and is cleaned in the same way. Cleaning the inside surface of the lens is usually optional because toner dust on the mirror (s) is usually the main cause of the faded print.

The repair requires a dozen cotton qtips. Qtips with a rod of paper are preferable for this task, you will not want to distort the Publix in terms of access to the mirror or the surface of the inner lens. Store the handy default color solid surface test pages. The lenses are the entire width of the page. Mirrors are about 3/4 of the width of the page. The pages of default may be brought against the lens to indicate precisely where the surfaces have been coated with toner. Just remember that the side LEFT of the printed page is on the RIGHT of the USJ.

Use the NEW qtips, directly from the package. Do NOT contaminate the cotton Publix with body oil, dust or liquid. Do ONLY 1 soft passes with the Publix on the affected mirror or lens, remove the Publix carefully and turn the Publix or use a new Publix before making another pass. If you make more than 1 pass with a contaminated Publix, you WILL just get DIRTY the reflecting mirror or lens with the toner!

This operation MUST be performed with the box of LSU in front of you, it CAN be done without removing the printer LSU. USJ is a box, about 9 "x 9"x 5". It has a guide down rod which he locates in the printer. Having some at USJ 1 "thick foam will help stabilize it as you clean the mirrors. With USJ deleted, you need to remove his hood before which surrounds 4 cups. This cover just snaps on or out of the LSU through 4 locking tabs (2 on top) and 2 down. With the front cover, you have access to all the reflective mirrors and lenses. Make sure you just don't not one any part USJ to impact because the mirrors are aligned precisely. Just use common sense and caution.

To remove the LSU time-consuming disassembly. I'm not going to explain these details. If the corrective procedure did you not flee, you should be mechanically inclined enough to find a way to remove the USJ. The only thing that requires more disassembly is the replacement of the power supply voltage.

You want a screwdriver blade and phillips and needles slender beak. You have about three dozen screws to follow.

Here are the steps in General:

    1. remove the top, side and back skins. Remove the fuse and the doctorate. Wrap the doctorate with a blanket or a black garbage bag to protect the CSPs.

2 remove the i/o Board container (and updates fallow) after disconnecting all the internal its wiring plugs.

    3. you will need to loosen or remove certain media that supports some of the internal cables.

    4. remove all connectors LVPS then remove the card LVPS and tray on the top/back support (and set aside). You will need to strip the power wires of merger between the LVPS and the power connector of the fuser. You will probably need to remove the fan to remove the LVPS.

LVPS and tray removed, you can look down on the LSU.

    5. the USJ is held in the printer by 2 Spring clips at the top (1 on each side, 2 screws each). These clips based on a 1/2 "steel pins that pinpoint the USJ. Remove the screws and clips and use steel pins to carefully lift the LSU out of the printer. Careful attention to the cable on the side, which connects the USJ to the controller card.

    6. after cleaning, reinstall everything in the order reverses. There is no mechanical alignment of the necessary LSU.

The lower part of the image above reflects the positions of the mirrors and lenses. The Center more mirror (C & K) is more inclined to dusting because of his position, but your impressions of color sample will not indicate which surfaces need cleaning.

  • printer will work if the color cartridges are ink

I have an Officejet 4620. My computer says all the ink cartridges are out of ink. I can always print in black. I need to replace the color cartridges?   The printer uses individual cartridges for red, blue and yellow cartridges. Color will be printed in blue and yellow only, so I guess there is little color left.

I usually do not need color copies and I have another Copier.

    Hello @Connsu,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you today with your color cartridge application today. Because your printer uses four cartridges: HP 564 black, HP 564 Cyan, Magenta 564 HP and HP 564 yellow, if one or all of these color cartridges are exhausted replace them to continue using the printer. Your HP Officejets ink system is designed to print when have all ink cartridges. A little ink in each cartridge is used for maintenance and maintenance tasks completed by your printer to keep the print head system in your printer in good working order.

The print head is the part that the cartridges will fit. It controls the "reading" of the cartridges and put the ink on the page. If the printhead is not able to perform regular maintenance, due to depleted cartridges, there is a chance that the mechanism of the print head gets dirty. If the printhead is damaged in any way a whole unit replacement may be necessary. For more information about using ink please click here.

In the future, if you mainly print in black from the computer, you can set your printer driver to use black ink only. Normally when you print from your computer files will be sent to your printer as "images". If your printer "thinks" it prints an image file that ink color will be used to enrich the black ink. If you don't want that to happen, you can enable grayscale printing option.

    • How to set grayscale in Windows:
    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Click on devices and printers
    3. Right click on your printer and select Printing Options
    4. Click on features or Advanced
    5. Select the Grayscale dropdown and replace Black Ink only
    6. Click apply and OK

If you ever want to print in color that you just open the document to print, click Properties in the print dialog box and change black ink only on OFF. This setting only will change to print one job and will return to black ink only for future jobs.

    • How to set levels of gray on Mac:
    1. In the software application, click print
    2. Select your printer
    3. Click Paper Type/quality menu
    4. Click the triangle next to Color Options
    5. In the color menu, select Grayscale or black & white
    6. Select the printing black only ink cartridge
    7. Click print

Please let me know if the information provided solves your color cartridge problems. I look forward to hear from you!

  • I can't go to my printer. It will not recognize the ink cartridges are full!

My epson 7400 has not been used for 6 months. I cleaned and aligned the nozzles and it used 2 full cartridges. I installed new ink cartridges, and he says they are empty. Now none of the buttons work, it does not seem to recognize all commands. What should I do?

    Hello

    Turn the printer off

Unplug the printer from the computer and the wall outlet

    Reinstall the cartridges

Support all the ink cartridges until they snap into place to make sure that they are well housed

Close the cartridge cover and push it down until it snaps

    Close the scanner

Press on the Stop button to start loading of ink. It takes about 2 minutes.

When the the light stops flashing and remains on, the ink load is complete

    Caution:

Never turn off the Epson Stylus CX while ink is in charge or you'll be wasting ink.

If the ink light flashes, press on the Stop button and lower all the cartridges safely

    Manually clean the print heads

Plug the printer into the wall outlet and the computer.  Turn it on and try printing again.
