Allocation of partition before and after the failover and recovery

Hello

I could probably write a test for my question but I thought it would be quicker to ask here first :-)

Say I have a cluster with 126 storage nodes and the scores of 1891 - so each node has about 65 partitions

If I lose a partition storage node backup 65 distributed on other members will become primary partitions and some new backups will be created on other nodes. At this point there will also be others dragging walls between the remaining nodes in addition to the creation of backup?

If I now restore the lost node, it will be allocated a few partitions. These will be the same scores he had originally or is it a random set of partitions, so we get a new round of brewing of the partition? I suspect the answer is that it not necessarily answer scores, he had originally.

The reason that I ask is that we have a system which, due to certain triggers with some fireworks and association key card support we have two caches on the same node that contain a reference to the same binary value (mapped to other keys). This means that the cache actually takes less space that the size of the units of the two caches beause they both the same reference value. On the other hand, backup partitions will have two copies of the value, and will decide on the amount expected memory.

-Failover backups become primary and create us backups more if suddenly the primary now uses more memory than the original primary (i.e. it will use the size of the units said it does) so for us a loss of node can result in a larger than normal jump in the use of memory on the remaining nodes, because we have now four copies of the value instead of three.

If we now have to recover the failed node, there will be some shuffling more partitions. Now, if the node recovered back his original were leaving they would take space ore that they have done it before and the rest of the cluster would be tantamount to the use of memory it had before. If the recovered node gets allocated to the different partitions and then the recovered node will use more memory and other members who now have primary partitions from the failed node will use more space.

Hopefull everyone can follow that. Basically, I think that, if we lose a node, we will see a bigger jump in memory would be a normal cluster and on the recovery of the node we will always use more memory than we were before because the recovered node did not return the partitions available.

See you soon,.
JK

Jonathan,

Yes, all your assumptions are fundamentally good (I'm not surprised that you did...). There is no guarantee that partitions move back to the original node if a node comes back again.

The only thing I could suggest is to "remake" the "artifice of support card' that the partition is transferred or promoted. In the earphone of backingmap you will be able to determine that a new entry is inserted because of the movement of the partition and use it as the signal to make converge the support the cards on a single binary value. You may still temporarily more memory you want, but you would correct as partition movement happens.

  • dataProvider add article before or after the selected line

    Hi, guys.

As we know, we can add an element in a data grid by simply call

    DG1. DataProvider. addItem (x: object)

I wonder if there is a specific function as addItemAt(x: object, y) who takes an additional number of index as a parameter

Finally, users want to add a new line before or after the selected line in the data grid.

    Thank you!

    Alex

Collection ArrayCollection subclasses ListCollectionView.  ListCollectionView contains the function you are looking for, addItemAt (item: Object, int index).

    Hello world

After a format and reinstall my computer broken? He is 13 months here for out of warranty

    Hello

Normally after the installation of recovery your laptop should work fine again.

In my opinion, it could be a malfunction of the equipment. Did you test the HARD drive for bad sectors? You can do this with Drive Fitness Test: http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm#DFT
Download the ISO image and burn it to a disk. Then you can boot from it and test your HARD drive for errors.

I also recommend to check the RAM for errors: http://memtest86.com/
Memtest is a good diagnostic tool for the RAM.

    I hope I could help a bit. :)

  • Satellite P100-119 - software after the installation of recovery

I use a Toshiba Satellite P100-119 since 2006. I want to run the original liveries Product Recovery CD after you back up all my data, so that with a vacuum system, the laptop gets even faster.

But as there were pre-installed software (office, Toshiba programms) when I bought it, I don't know if they went after the recovery. I do not have CD for these programs, they were just pre-installed and what my Windows xp, should recover fully with the cd?

    Hey Buddy,

After the installation of recovery, you have the same settings that bought the laptop. With other words recovery disk will restore the box settings.

Firstly the recovery disk will wipe the entire HARD drive and remove all. After this Windows will be installed all the drivers and tools. In addition, will be also installed software preinstalled such as office, etc. and you can use it again. :)

Backup all important data like the photo, music, etc. but everything will be removed for a clean install of Windows.

  • Z400 disks with EFI partition not mounting after the Windows 7 Pro upgrade

HP z400: after a repair/upgrade to sp1 of Windows 7 Pro (64), no matter what external disk with an EFI partition is not installed.  Player will be present in the BIOS and the management of drive, but without a letter. Cannot assign a drive letter.  All other discs mount correctly.  Disks with EFI partition will mount on other PCs.  All the drivers seem to be current and fuctional.

I thought about it... after two weeks of puzzle, I finally found the cause.

I run MacDrive 8 so I can play discs with HFS + formatting.  This program should be completely uninstalled and reinstalled after the upgrade.  I had turned it off before the upgrade, but it takes more than that.  Everything works now as expected.

But wouldn't be INCE if Windows reads discs mac natively?

  • Update drivers before or after the installation of 8.1?

I have a HP Envy m6-1178sa, running Windows 8. According to the HP Support Assistant, I have all the latest drivers for Windows 8. When I go on the site, I noticed that the latest drivers for Windows 8 are not the same as the latest drivers for Windows 8.1. Naturally, this means that I have to update my drivers when installing Windows 8.1. Now, install Windows 8.1 drivers before or after installing Windows 8.1?

    Hi Nerosas,

I check all the drivers, but as well the ones I checked have the same file and the version. Do you get your drivers from here OK? The driver will tell you that it will work for the operating systems. If find you one that works for 8 but will be for 8.1 just download and do not install until after having upgraded.

    Thank you

  • HP Pavilion p6610f: Partitions on C after the attempt of discovery

The computer was infested with viruses, spyware, Trojans, etc. A single product, we have used abducted more than 600 of these programs. I decided in the end, we need to restore the system to factory State, and recovery software has been run to do. Recovery is performed from the disk hard given that the system has not had the required disks to do otherwise. Recovery failed, and the system refuses to boot to say a word about a boot loader is not found. Recovery disks have been ordered at HP, and in the meantime, Win 7 Pro has been loaded and installed successfully. The installation of Win 7 pointed out a partition of 100 MB at the top of C: because it was too small for the installation of the OS. I chose the next available partition which was quite large.

Is - this 100MB partition a normal part of how HP sets up a hard drive? I'm a little worried that it may be a residual of malware infestation.

It seems like a valid partition, do not touch it for now.  When you get your format of hard drive recovery disks, then perform the factory restore, the recovery should do it anyway.

  • Re: Satellite A660 - 11 M - Random freezing after the installation of recovery

    Hello

I recently bought an A660 - 11 m, which I was happy for a few months and then it started to crash/freeze randomly in windows. I'd do something and then it just would freeze indefinitely, requiring a second 5 press the power button to turn it off manually. The fan and hard drives would continue to work if he did something, or they wouldn't be if I was not doing something at the time (this has happened four times). After that it's the only thing to do would be to reinstall the entire operating system by using the manufacturers recovery disk. The computer will then work fine for a few days or a few weeks (never more than 2 weeks) and it would be demanding full gel reinstall again. I had reinstall my programs every time but I stopped on the last 2 times and it made no difference.

After that the computer crashed it would then refuse to boot into windows. It would be still stuck just at the moment where the sign of windows appears. I would like to know that he had crashed as the 4 colored dots appear. The computer would simply wants at this point, continually getting stuck there after the reboot of several manual. Once and only once it booted into windows on its own, but it took almost 30 minutes and the computer is very slow and unresponsive. The computer will sometimes start in safe mode, but it varies. I tried Startup Repair tool and all stages of system restore, but none of these work.

I got to use Acronis true image10 and creating an image of the system which can then replace the whole computer in all 25mins. This saves me time, rather than wait 2 hours or whatever it is to reinstall the toshiba, but becomes quite ridiculous to have to keep re install every two weeks.

I also tried to buy a stand-alone copy of windows 7 (while recording an image of the partition of toshiba in the case where I need) I think it might be due to all toshiba programs and other bits and pieces that are installed on the computer - it makes much faster startup, but the computer still crashes the same after awhile.

I am sure its some ware conflicts or driver pretty hard, but I don't know what.

    Any help please!

    Rob

    Hi Rob,

I m also do not know what exactly is the problem and I believe that no one here can say that just because it s just a user to user forum.

Fact is that if you have already tried restore factory Toshiba recovery disc multiple times, it s not a software or driver issue because it s an image pre-tested by Toshiba.

I guess it must be a hardware malfunction and therefore, you should contact a service provider for help. Guys can check your laptop and if it of under warranty, the repair is free.

You can find a list of aspic here:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > find an authorized service provider

    Good luck! :)

  • Satellite U500 - Code 52 after the installation of recovery

    Hello

I tried to reinstall my U500. After installtion some devices work not (code 52 in Device Manager).

It is related to driver signing. When I imagined "disable driver sign" in the F8 boot menu some of them work properly.
I tried to change bcdedit to ignore driver signing with no luck.

    Please notify.

Long ago, I had the same machine. I got it several times but I never noticed this problem. did you notice immediately after the recovery image installation or later, after connection to the installation of Internet and Windows updates?

Hmm, check if the Tempro software is installed.
If Yes, then you have two options; would it remove the system or if you want to use Tempro then you need to update this tool.

The Tempro software is a tool of Toshiba which monitors the HARD disk and the operating system and send you a notice if a new update of driver/tool is available on the European driver Toshiba page.
I deleted this tool because I don t need.

I have always followed this suggestion; never change a running system you know :)

    Hello

I think that the error message above is displayed because the SSD was not recognized in the BIOS.
Please check if BIOS has recognized the SSD correctly!

I m not quite sure, but probably you will not be able to use an SSD instead of HARD drive
