Allow programs to run in AVG

I realize that this is not a forum AVG but I was wondering if someone could help me with a problem I have.

I try to install Teamviewer on PC from a friend, so that I can open a remote session and help them with problems. However when I try to install the program, I get a message that says AVG Internet Security blocks the installation and the program should be added to security programs. However I can't find this option anywhere in the AVG program or the AVG help and support pages on the site.

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, but I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction?

Thank you very much

I have the Foscam wireless camera setup to display on my computer.  I now watch on a Mac.  I just bought the HP Pavilion Entertainment PC.   When I try to run Internet Explorer will not allow him to start.  It has something to do with the certificates of the program. He was down to install activeX.  I click on install and the program still does not work.   What I would do.   I use dyndns.org as the host of the show.

    Thank you.

PS: If I use Firefox I can view a camera at a time.  With IE, I should be able to view both.  I use IE at work, and it works.  Some thing on this PC it blocks and I can't understand it.

    Thanks again.

I finally have success.   I searched online and found the following.   It is in fact of Foscam.   A simple click on the Advanced tab and it worked.    Thank you for leading me to search online for details of Foscam.  I hope that if someone is having the same problem that they check here.   Before I was just checking the custom section.  But it's the Advanced tab.

If you use Norton, AVG, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, McAfee, etc. the default action is for Windows Defender must be disabled, that these AntiVirus programs have their own Antispyware Applications.

    There is nothing to worry.

    Hello

    ·         What program are you trying to run?

    ·         The problem occurs with particular program or all?

    ·         You use the administrator or Standard user account?

    Method 1:

The prompt that you get is the setting on your computer user account control. You can change the setting and use them according to your requirements and run programs. Check out the link below for more details - mentioned

    What is user account control?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-is-user-account-control

    Method 2:

You can even use the steps and check mentioned below:

  • There are no programs listed in the exception list allow programs and features in the Windows on Windows 7 firewall

I try to add a program to the Windows Firewall exceptions list. When I go to control configuration\systeme and Security\Windows Firewall\Allowed programs, I discovered that there were not all of the programs listed.

If I click on the "Edit settings" button, it becomes grey and nothing happens. I am the Admin so I should have access to it. When I click on the button "Allow another program", any program, I am trying to add will give me an error message saying "firewall cannot add Windows ' [program]" to the list of exceptions.

This has happened recently. I was able to add programs to the list of exceptions before.

How do you decide what prorgams to run sandboxed?... .and how do I access this "sandbox"?

Something running in a sandbox is the terminology describing how to isolate a suspicious application or unknown and limit what it can do to the host computer.  This is not something that MSE, although the real time protection could be considered very similar (the difference being in a case, allowing something to run but isolate, vs the real-time monitoring to block suspicious activity).  Some browsers have a limited ability to do this (chrome), but this is not configurable by the user, as far as I know.

  • A software says I need 4 MB of VM set aside for the program to run.

    Original title: virtual memory.

How to set 4 MB of virtual memory in windows xp? A software says I need 4 MB of VM set aside for the program to run.

    Hi KennethBrasel,

Welcome to the Microsoft community where you can find all the answers related to windows.

According to the description provided, looks that you receive a virtual memory message when installing a program on Windows XP computer.

By default, the virtual memory paging file that is created during installation is 1.5 times the physical RAM on your computer. Therefore, a computer that has 1 GB of RAM installed will have 1.5 GB of virtual memory.

You can manually change the size of the swap file to make it larger or smaller. You can also optimize virtual memory use by dividing the space of files between multiple drives and by removing the disks slow or very open space.

He would be grateful if you can answer this question in order to help you further.

    1. What is the size of your RAM memory?
2 are. what program you referring?

I suggest you try the following steps to change the virtual memory:

    a. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.

    b. in the System Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab.

    (c) in the results pane, click settings.

    d. in the performance Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab.

    e. in the virtual memory section, click on change.

    f. change the initial size value and the value of maximum size to a higher value, click on set and then click OK.

    g. click OK to close the performance Options dialog box and then click OK to close the System Properties dialog box.

Note: With virtual memory, the computer can use the hard drive as memory (RAM) space. The computer uses virtual memory to increase the ordinary RAM that is installed on the computer. If you reduce the size of the pagefile, some the program may not start correctly or may not start at all. This problem may occur even if the computer has plenty of RAM.

How can I remove some programs from running at startup? for example, Super Anti Spyware, automatically runs on startup and is listed in the lower right corner of my desk drawer, but it really slows my time to go on the internet. I only have access if necessary.

You can click on start > run > msconfig

then under the Startup tab, you will find a list of programs that launch at startup of windows.   they are activated by a check mark.

In addition, you can check the services through the services tab.

Select / check "hide microsoft services" and then what remains on the revised list are non-microsoft programs you have added to the system and are also expected to start automatically.

don't forget to click 'apply' for the changes you make and then restart to see the effects.
