  Unfortunately, you may not be able to repair Windows by using the features of normal repair since you do not have a disk. You may need to contact your hardware manufacturer to see what options they have to repair Windows.

  But 64-bit causes problems when running high technologies such as Matlab and Xilinx software (Yes, I'm an engineer). So I had to switch to 32-bit win7.

  But Win7 32-bit drivers are not available on the web. My friend has a solution for this. It found that almost all drivers for Vostro 3350 win7 32 bit and 3550 are compatible for Dell Inspiron N5110. I have download and install and they work fine on my laptop.

  Background: I am setting up a pavilion of 500-164 equipped with OEM specs, specifically:

  -AMD/Radeon APU

  -Windows 8 6.2.9200

  -See sysinfo below for more details

  The PC brought to the specifications of the plant, with all Windows updates applied with the exception of KB2887069, which breaks down at the update.  With the exception of troubleshooting the failure of the update, none of the changes have been made.  The Windows KB2887069 update fails to install as well through the automated process when tried manually via a direct download.

  Additional troubleshooting measures to date include:

  -Uninstall the software OEM AV (Norton), then by restarting.

  -Temporarily disable all the features of Windows Defender.

  -Temporarily uninstall the audio driver (IDT High Definition Audio CODEC) OEM.

  -Realization of an analysis of the SFC system (with no error found).

  I find it peculiar that you just bought a HP computer brand new, still-in-the-box, which came with Windows 8, not 8.1, preinstalled Windows. That said, cross your fingers, roll up your sleeves and try the fix following multiple step, I cooked up just for your computer...

  1 right-click on the link, select SAVE TARGET as.... & download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

  2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

  Here are the specifications of your laptop HP Pavilion e115sm 17. According to the specification, this model left the factory with FreeDOS installed. HP provides only 8.1 Windows drivers on the page of drivers PC laptop HP Pavilion e115sm 17.

  WARNING *.

  HP cannot provide the drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer. In addition, Windows 7 can not take in charge some of the hardware or software designed for the computer.

  Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

  The screenshots below is from a laptop HP 15 t-j100... options and the configuration on your computer screens may differ.

  If you install from a USB key and see a message of "load a driver - a required CD/DVD drive device is missing", it's because as 'System Configuration' > 'Config USB3.0 in pre-start' is set to 'Enabled '. This should be set to 'Auto '.

You should be able to make a FAT32 formatted Windows 7 installation USB Flash drive using Rufus, UNetbootin, Universal USB Installeror WiNToBootic. I like Rufus, because it contains options for 'Plan of GPT partition for UEFI computer' and 'FAT32'.

  From the top...

  (1) turn on the computer and immediately start typing the key "ESC".

  (2) when the MENU is displayed, press "F10".

  3) navigate the BIOS to the "System Configuration", 'USB 3.0 pré-OS Config' and the value 'Auto '.

  4) navigate the BIOS to the "System Configuration", "Startup Options" and "Secure Boot" the value 'Legacy Support' the value "Enabled" and "Disabled"

  5) press "F10" and click "YES" to "Exit Saving Changes".

  (6) computer should restart and display "Change of operating system startup Mode"... type the four digit code, then press "ENTER".

  (7) let Windows 8 boot-go to top and place the support of Windows 7 SP1 in the drive to DVD or a USB port, then logout / shutdown.

  (8) to turn on the computer and immediately start typing the key "ESC".

  (9) when the MENU is displayed, press the key "F9" and then select the correct boot UEFI source (CD/DVD drive internal, USB drive, CD/DVD, USB Flash drive, etc.). ... Press any key to start the CD/DVD, if prompted.

  If you use Windows XP, you can find the installation instructions document. Use this list as a recommended driver installation order.
  Usually the drivers must be installed first, and then Tools. You should start with the chipset drivers.

  The best place to go would be website from your ISP because they should include that he adapted Windows 7 drivers.  Make sure you get the x 64 drivers if your Windows 7 is 64-bit.  Make sure you get the x 86 drivers if your Windows 7 is 32-bit.
