Almost every game unplayable

Dear Lenovo community,

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Z360 with a Nvidia Geforce G310M with Optimus technology. I installed all the drivers come with the cd (Windows 7, 32-bit).

I tried to play the following games: HL2, portal, HL2 E1 & E2, Call of Duty 4 modern warfare and I saw. In almost all games, the computer is blocked for 10-15 sec randomly. Often, the game crashes after a stuck.

If I turn off Optimus in the BIOS, everything works fine, but I don't have the power of the Nvidia GPU.

I tried to install the driver for the Nvidia (258.96) G310M, but then I get the message: there are no drivers has appropriate for you hardware.

How to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance

  • Firefox crashes almost every time that I try to attach a document. Why?

I just had a new PC from Dell XPS Dimension w/Win 8.1. She doesn't have Firefox, so I downloaded (version 29.0.1).

Almost every time that I try to attach a document, for example, a photo or other file, Firefox crashes. The accident occurred when I double-click on the directory or folder that contains the document I want to join. I presented in reports half a dozen incidents in recent days.

Instead of double-click, I tried everything just clicking once on the button that appears when I OPEN request to attach a document. This reduces the frequency of accidents, but did not eliminate them.

Please launch the Console application in one of the following ways:

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

  • Why Software Distribution 3.0 appears on my Microsoft (restore point) system restore almost every day?

original title: software distribution service 3.0

Why Software Distribution 3.0 appears on my Microsoft (restore point) system restore almost every day?  What is it?

The Software Distribution Service 3.0 Restore Point is created when new Microsoft updates are downloaded and installed.

Depending on the configuration of your system, the updates can be downloaded and installed automatically as we never see what is happening.

For example (this is what I usually see), if you use Microsoft Security Essentials and an update of MSE comes out every day, you can't "see" anything on your system to tell you about this, but when the ESM update is installed, a new called Restore Point "Software Distribution Service 3.0" will be created. "

If MSE gets several updates per day, you will see a new PR of 3.0 SDS created for each of them, so it would be possible to have several SDS 3.0 Restore Points per day.  Alternatively, you can have one for MSE and another for some other day.  Some days you won't see any SDS 3.0 created restore points.

Of course, there are other reasons, you might see a new SDS 3.0 Restore Point and you might be curious to know what is all just never one see you.

Among the technical support engineers Microsoft will surely be able to tell how to look at each new SDS 3.0 Restore Point you have and tell you how to determine exactly what was in this update of the Software Distribution (if you're curious).

The reason in question do not contain the required information may be because there is no incentive to enter the required information when you create a new question.

The odds on this planet someone reading "How to ask a question" before asking a question are extremely unlikely, therefore (if the forums wanted more useful), the forums Microsoft Answers would invite for information, when a new question is asked.

Even the discussion in the article "How to ask a question" is quite ridiculous that it does not describe the same basic information that should be in a new topic.

This gross oversight in the way the new positions are created in these forums in frustration results, guess, lost time and wasted cycles then message that this information is being collected.

Almost every time that I do a right-click to display a menu of something for example delete or copy, you receive the following error message.

    Program internal error:.\Src\IntegrationToolsHolder.cpp,21
If I click OK on the error message, it goes & I can then right click New & the appropriate menu appears and works correctly.
Any ideas, please, as to what is the cause?
    Kind regards

I told you I want to talk to you soon as you try these things.

How to boot in Safe Mode and Clean worked for you?  Not at all useful?

You said about this 2 weeks ago?

Yet once, I fell in this place and the time and effort wasted because MS Answers forums invite to no system information when a new question is asked - but I digress.

Update of security 908513 is included in Service Pack 3 update.

Since forums MS Answers asks you any information from system when a new question is asked, we don't even know what Service Pack you have.  If you have SP3, you already have the update.  Two weeks and we don't know what is your Service Pack, what is your antivirus/antimalware environment...  We know that you have XP Pro 32-bit however.

What you're likely to have is an extension of the Explorer Shell with a malfunction, and you can usually understand as follows:

When the Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) is wrong (especially when right click), begin to suspect third-party add-ons explore extension.

Those who would be the Explorer extensions that do not belong to Microsoft.  This means that extensions that you have added.  Solution Explorer extensions are generally well and installation of certain applications will install extensions from Explorer solutions for you, give you a choice and sometimes they can be added without your knowledge when you install the new software.

Solution Explorer extensions are sometimes added as a new right-click option, you see on folders and files (like the scan of this file, open that file, play this song).

If there is something in particular that you do during exploration that you know will be the cause of the problem, which will help focus on the problem and the help that you suddenly know, when you have found and corrected.  If you can get there when you want it, make an adjustment and then there is no message the next time you don't do anything, you do, you have found and corrected.

If you can really achieve almost everytime you do a right-click and choose something like delete or copy, you're well on your way to understand.

First of all you need a way to see what modules explore you have installed now and a way to turn them off (not uninstall them) so you can understand that we are at the origin of the problem.  You can have a lot of extensions not installed Microsoft don't even know you about.

Download ShellExView here to see what Explorer extensions you have loaded:

    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/shexview.html

ShellExView does not install anything on your computer, simply of runs and displays.

After launching ShellExView, under Options, choose "Mark non-Microsoft Extensions" and extensions not Microsoft will be pink, clear, but on some systems which is a difficult color to see, so click on display, choose the columns and move the column Microsoft closer to the top, so you can see on your screen without having to scroll left and right.

Click on the column header for Microsoft sort display (by clicking on the column of Microsoft) then all the non Microsoft extensions are on top and easy to see.

Non-Microsoft extensions would be things you have added (non-Microsoft) and are what you should be suspect.

You can also Google the name of a suspect add-on and see if there is any success about the errors with the extension and to what other people have done on it... Maybe just to get an update of the program that adds the suspicious extension.

    You can Google something like:

    Explorer XP crashing

(you must complete your suspect on behalf of add on)

See what kind of search results hits you get and are looking for solutions or situations that sound like yours.

I'm not a defender of trial and error, but I can't think of another way to do...

Right click and disable the extensions one at a time non-Microsoft keep a list so you can enable them again later if you wish. The result of the change is immediate and no reboot is necessary.  Test your failure condition.

If you recognize all the extensions that have been added or recently downloaded, start with these first.

Disabling the extension does not uninstall the extension - it is just disabled.

Disable them one at a time until your right click on do not generate an error, then restart and test again.  You have disabled the last extension would be suspicious.

You can also just disable all non-Microsoft extensions, restart and allow them one at a time until you find the one that generates the condition.

The hope is that you will find an extension that caused the error, and then you can figure out what on this subject - either uninstall it or see if you can get an update of the author of the extension of their web page.

I have not your problem, but I can when you toggle extensions, the extension is immediately turned off, to disable an extension does not require a restart, but if you find the problem, I reboot and retest in all cases to be sure that the problem has disappeared.

If you post your non-Microsoft extensions list, maybe someone will recognize it as a potential problem.

If you find the offending extension that's the problem, please let us know what it is that I can add to my list.

    Hello

Use methods such as the SFC, CheckDisk, driver updates, and others in the resolution of the issues identified
at this link as they will help solve or at least narrow down the questions. After that you can post the
information of BlueScreenView and these other utilities, so we can offer more specific advice. Of
check with a real store of the computer or the system manufacturer's support would be a good idea though
I would try the possible solutions, you can first.

Check this thread for more information using BlueScreenView, MyEventViewer and other methods

You can use BlueScreenView to stick the BSOD info in a message here.

NOTICE - report HTML all THE ELEMENTS or right-click on a BSOD line and select the same. Then, copy and
Paste the lines in a message here. Make sure and check the file name section. Also check the time
in MyEventViewer for more information as possible.

    Thank you

Check with the manufacturer of system or component for the updated drivers. If none are available, remove or turn off the unit and check the behavior.  Contact the manufacturer / system device to make them aware of the problem so that they can hopefully fix in a future update.

  • Every game I play works very well for a few minutes, then they lag a few minutes like clockwork. I ran each scan I can think and I can't find anything.

original title: issues of computer game.

Every game I play works very well for a few minutes, then they lag a few minutes like clockwork. I ran each scan I can think and I can't find anything. What I can do, how can I fix?

Assuming that your PC meets the requirements of the games you try and works well when in Windows (not), then try this.

    1. Start the Task Manager goto the tab, click "Show processes from all users".
    2. Run the game in a maximized window, see if the game lags then.
    3. If so, go to the Task Manager and check the CPU usage and the memory usage by clicking on their respective column headers to get as high in the upper part. Is anything hogging resources?
    4. Double control by checking the graphics CPU and memory on the tab.

    or

Try to run a scan with Malwarebytes - just in case. Download, install, update (right click and run as Admin to update) and then run a full SCAN. It can't find anything either, but it does not take long and helps eliminate the possibility of malicious programs.

    or

Are you drivers (esp GPU and sound card) to date?

  • Clock showing the correct time to almost every time when connecting

Original title: clock wrong, lot of time whenever I connect

My clock is constantly with the wrong time almost every time I connect and I have to readjust it.  Can anyone help?  Also, I tried live help, but for some reason that Microsoft would not accept my product key, I know it's the right key.

I also seem to lose my time 12 settings of the clock all the time too, and he keeps returning to the 24 hour clock that I hate.  And I often do not remember how I changed it in the first place to return the parameters of what I want.
    Any help appreciated.
Help with my product key I type in directly from the email that Microsoft sent me live also really curious to know why I can't get online?

    Try this workaround:

    1. Type "schedule tasks" in the search field of the start screen of windows or via the menu of charms and open it.
    2. Expand - Library of Task Scheduler > Microsft > Windows and you will see - synchronization of the time, almost at the bottom of this list.
    3. Double-click the "SynchronizeTime" task and go to the tab "triggers."
    4. Click 'new... '. »
    5. You will see a drop-down list next to the text that says "begin the task:" at the top of the window. Select the option "at startup" and click "OK" to save and close the relaxation. You will then see your new trigger on the list in the task. Click 'OK' to close the task.
    6. Close Task Scheduler.

Time system MUST synchronize now to start and pretty much solve this problem. There may be a delay while your computer connects to a network. Time synchronization may not work if your clock is off by a significant deviation from the server.

  • GROUP at the same time, almost every day... I am gettting pirate?    NOOBIE needs help!  Thank you!

In the last few days my Esxi server started to receive the GROUP at about 05:00 almost every day (thur, sat, Sun)...   I have attached the screenshot of the GROUP... I tried to join vmkernal-zdump, but it is too big.    I added the lines below that I found when searching for error or failed and ask yourself if I get hacked because the IP listed is one I'm not familiar with.
