Alone cyan little showing what cleaned print head - Pro L7680

I tried "cleaning ' my impression runs a dozen times, and each time, I see only small horizontal lines of color cyan in the appropriate boxes. There is much ink in the cartridges. The all-in-one OfficeJet Pro L 7680 use cartridges without print heads. Ink is supplied to the printheads through flexible tubes. Unless there is an easy solution, I might need to remove the printheads and dip them in hot water, but I'll need a primer on how to open the cover, then remove them.

I doubt it makes a difference, but a few months ago, I upgraded my able 5 year old PC, 64-bit Vista 32 bit to 64 bit of Windows 8 Pro. I have some problems of compatibility, but it seems to work very well

Here is a link that will provide you with instructions on how to replace and install cartridges and printheads. Before cleaning the print heads, I'd watch this document first of all it does not address the issues of print quality for your printer model. Just look at it and see if there are all the additional steps that you might have not already tried.  Pages 147-150 user manual pointed out how manually clean the print head. I would check the date of warranty on the print head before dipping as which can void the warranty on parts. If this date has passed, the soaking will be no danger as replacement would be the only other option left.

    How to ask a question

  • How can I control cleaning print head automatically each time my Officejet Pro 8500 a Premium starts?

In general we really like our new Officejet, but we are very frustrated by the automatic startup procedure.  Whenever it is turned on, it performs a self check and then clean the print heads.  This is awkward for two reasons: 1) we want to print quickly, do not wait for 5 minutes.  (2) we are concerned that all this cleaning using our valuable ink.

We recently had to replace all the print color cartridges, and I think that one of the causes of the impoverishment of the other, it was all this cleaning.

    We use HP cartridges.

It is possible that this printer is scheduled for an office environment where it remains just on 24 x 7.   For our occasional use, we have normally turn it on when we need them and turn it off when we're done. If the consumption is low enough (less than 5 watts) I would consider let on as the shape of a possible workaround.

I did my best to search for FAQ and comments to see if there is already an answer to this question - but could not find one.

OK Bob, looks like that this printer is really designed to work 24 / 7, so I guess that's what I have to do.  If I knew when I bought it, it is likely that I would have gone for a different printer.

    Hello there @qtoigoo ,

I understand that you are facing a problem with your Officejet 8500 continuously clean the print heads. Normally, this occurs if the print heads are going downhill. My best advice to you would be to try clean the contacts on the print heads manually and reset of the printer. Who can help.

  • 7520 photosmart all in one. How to disable auto clean print head

I have the HP Photosmart 7520 and I am running Windows 7. How can I disable auto cleaning feature print head?

Using function Thi my ink so that I am not the same impression.

    Hello

To answer your question, unfortunately you can not disable this function where the print head will not clean itself. The printer is made to do to keep the printhead to collect ink on the inside contacts.

I hope that answers your questions.

  • Poor print quality. Trying to re-clean print heads and I get the message "printer is busy".

HP Photosmart 7515 roughly a month.  I had reports of printer including the ink level and Page quality Diagnostic impression that leads me to a printer head cleaning. Always do not print correctly then I pressed the button for a second level print head cleaning and received the message returned as the "printer was busy" and here I am stuck.

    Cartridges solved the problem.

  • HP Photosmart C4780 let me clean print heads

I have already contacted HP support and they help me because my warranty expired, instead, they tried to sell me a new printer. Yes, good... It was free, I do not. However, my problem started about two weeks ago. I noticed my lighter colors (i.e. violet, green... etc) were dragged horizontally and I did not quite understand why. I advanced and went into the HP utility and tried to "clean the print heads" and he told me that he cannot complete this process and contact HP support. Instead, I replaced the color and black ink cartridges and tried to print again, still, nothing works. I tried the "clean printhead" option after the doing, and once, he said the process has failed and to contact HP support.

Seeing how the conversation from HP support went up peachy, I thought that to enter a forum to ask for help. This printer comes for free with my Macbook and I'm sure a lot of people have this printer as well. Maybe can someone help? I would be very happy. I rely on this printer very often to print clear images for my craft. It prints very clear images and I was really pleased with her despite his tantrums spurratic Pépin. I'd be very happy with the help I can get or notice, otherwise, I guess I'll just get a new .

    Thank you kindly,

    Tina

OK, I'm going to assume that you have the HP software incorrectly installed from the CD supplied with the printer was not intended to 10.6.

We will uninstall the software by using the "scrubber":

Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
    Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall< this="" is="" the="" scrubber="" option,="" there="" is="" no="" button="" labeled="">
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish

    Restart your Mac

    Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

    Now reset the printing system:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!

Finally, download and install the latest version of the software for your printer from here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-70896-3&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=219&product=3794615&sw_lang=

    Hey @Zen540,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject. I'm sorry to hear that the steps I provided could not solve your problem of print quality.

The mechanism of the print head at a cost of e-all-in-one printer HP Officejet Pro 8600 about 150 US $. And there is always the possibility that in your HP Officejet printing system could be defective. Therefore, if you install a new print head and it fails to solve the problem, that a replacement printer would be necessary.

At this point, I would recommend reaching out to the Technical Support queue by phone to explore the additional hardware options.

  • HP Deskjet D1600 clean print heads

I have a HP Deskjet D1600 labour that I can't seem to work properly. When printing in black, she had horizontal bands. The ink was low so I replaced it. That did not help. I have reset the printer. That did not help. I tried to run the cleaning service cartridge, but it didn't print a page. He makes little noise for a minute, as he was trying to clean and then window pops up and asks if it has been fixed or if I had to do a clean middleman but no book ever printed. I clicked on fact and printed another page, but it looked even worse that before so I decided maybe the intermediate cleaning would help. I did this and once again no printed page. Now nothing is printing at all.

I also printed a test page and got errors instead of color bands. I got the C0840001 on 4 lines error code and error B8043AB2 on 1 line. I can't find info on these errors.

Simply turn printer off. Open the door. With a flashlite, look inside on the right side where you will see a small tray that slides forward and back. This is the filter cartridge. Push the tray forward (away from you) to the stop and then move backward until the little black tab on the right is 1/2 inch of the metal part of the transport. Close the door. Turn on the printer. Quite. Print something

  • HP Officejet 7500 E910: Cleaning print head

I understand that the printer starts a sequence of cleaning from time to time, which uses ink. I wonder what is happening to the ink. It moves to a "cesspool" of sorts, and whether itself needs cleaning occasionally?

    Thanks if anyone can help.

Officejet 7500 has been evaluated for a duty cycle of up to 7000 pages per month.  With a standard 12 month warranty, this would imply a guaranteed page 84K service.

Personally, I would not add a drain system, there are probably other things that would wear until the capacity of the station would become a problem.  (For example, the coding Strip would probably need cleaning or replacement, see the post here)

I suggest do things to minimize ink spit in the service station:

    • Keep the printer plugged in to an outlet. If an external passes as an output switch is used more ink will be used at startup.
    • Don't run don't not cleaning cycles since the Panel Toolbox or before if necessary (very rare).
