Alphabetical sorting of the 1st column of a 4 column numbers Doc - given in columns 2, 3, & 4 needs
to stay with the data in the 1st column.
Select the context menu in the header of the column A by clicking on the arrow to the right of the 'A':
Now select "Sort Ascending" or "descending".

I hope someone could help me with how to erase the preferences of sort for a specific region.
I have a classic report with a column in place to apply sorting and a form of tab that has a column in place to apply the sort.
I have a button to clear the sort who calls a process Page:
BEGIN
APEX_UTIL. REMOVE_SORT_PREFERENCES(:APP_USER);
END;
This clears the sorting on the two regions. So, how can I set it up to only clear the sorting on the form tab?

This is why I suggested looking at the admin report. This table is not accessible to the public in a default installation, and the information is not exposed in one of the documented views of metadata. As you will see in the report, sorting preference is stored as a name/value pair:

_P , and the value is fsp_sort__R _SORT _ . If you want to remove the preference, then the name is relevant, because it is the parameter required for theapex_util.remove_preference

Probably a good idea to create this as a reusable utility function.

You can make a folder on the second partition, and can store the necessary files (documents, photos) in specific files.
Or maybe you want to decrease the Vista partition?

The search in Vista for a document that contains the word or phrase
I have a computer running Win XP, and with its search function, I can look for a document by typing a few words that I know are in it.
I can't understand how to do this in Vista. Can someone tell me the answer?

Click on "Organize", then "Options records and research."
Click on the tab "search". Under "what happens to research."
Always select "to the names of files search and content' or"in index locations, find the names of files and content, in locations not indexed, search file names only".

If you haven't tried it already, see if repair Office help (could reset Manager/preview correctly)

How to add a 2nd drive for my Document folders
I have a second hard drive (which is installed, format & I can see it in my computer) I want to use for My Documents. In XP Pro, I could simply click Start > My Documents and on the right, click Properties. There I could redirect the folder to a second disc. How do cela in Windows 7, or can you?
The documents folder belongs to the document library. You should be able to simply add the folder you want and delete any other files there that you don't want. Which will leave you with only one file you want from the second hard disk is still in the library.

Is there a way to configure so that all PDF files will be automatically open for signs of bookmark & mode page for all documents?
Currently, when I create a PDF file, I have file - properties - navigation - panel bookmarks and page tab every time. Is it possible to put something in the settings of the computer everything everyone in the office so it will default to this view rather than me having to do whenever I create a document?

I think that if all the pdf documents were Favorites, they would probably have this option, but because many of them do not, it is the creator of the file to add this setting in the file.

After update, oracle 11g, we get the system error when you try to insert the text string in the NCLOB type column.
ORA - 01461:can bind a LONG value only for insert in a LONG column.
This has not happened on an earlier version of Oracle.
I did some testing and found that, if a string more then 2000 we get this error.
How to solve this problem?

I found a solution. I had to update ODP.NET to 2.112.1.0 version.

I have a Windows application that accesses a database of 12 c Oracle via ODBC (driver version is 12.01.00.01).
I have a table with a column of key named REGION_ID (NVARCHAR2 (9)) and a dozen other columns, of which three are named region1 and region.2 elle3, all of type NVARCHAR2 (40).
When I try to insert a string in the scope of the region1 is longer than 9 characters (length of REGION_ID), I get an error ORA-01461 (' can bind to a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column). If I set the length of REGION_ID be NVARCHAR2 (15), so I can add channels to the region1 in length up to 15 field until I get ORA-01461 exception again. Curiously, if I change the name of column region1 to REGIONONE, I don't get any errors, and everything works fine. It's almost as if the column name region1 is being confused with REGION_ID backstage.
Any ideas? I am using SQLBindParameter to bind the columns, and all calls are successful. I get the exception when I run the insert statement. This same code worked for previous versions of Oracle (9i, 10g and 11g). And if I use a driver of client 11g against the 12 c server, I do not receive the exception.

It is a component of ODBC driver bug in 12 c and it is fixed. You can download and install the fix for bug 18232462 or the last window for 12 c patch cumulative/bundle.
