  Your office is frozen?   If not, stop or reboot can wait for something to finish - you close all open applications?   Allow you your system to connect to the internet (these pesky background downloads or you are not always aware of synchronization)

  A flashing orange power LED, usually indicates a power supply problem power, given the age of the Dimension 9200, which is highly likely.

  Try to replace the power supply with a power supply of labour "Known", to see if that makes a difference.

  This system does not use an exclusive power of Dell, you can install most power supply ATX with a power connector 24 pin or 20 + 4 pin main motherboard and this can be purchased in most local computer stores, or online.

  The 9200 has a rear panel open, a diet with or without the on/off switch can be installed.

  Note: You need a PSU with six SATA power connectors.

  I was using my laptop just as usual, plugged in and charge, when he spontaenously started running on the battery. The battery is discharged at a ridiculous rate (one percent per minute on saving energy with a gray screen mode) and not USB plug-ins when on battery. No amount of fiddling with it will get the battery to consider itself connected, even though I know that power is getting at least to the adapter box. as it has an indicator light. I can't run a check of the battery because he does not have to be plugged in to the AC adapter. The problem seems to be with the battery or adapter - the absurd rate with which the laptop uses power would seem to indicate that the battery, but the fact that the computer will not "plug-in" suggests that it is the adapter - but as far as I know, it's somewhere inside the laptop computer between the two. I prefer not to spend money on both, espcially if the problem is neither. Any suggestions?

  Set up with an ID of administrator and user two identifiers that require a password to connect.

  Computer goes into hibernation during the (provided by Cox) McAfee virus scan.  Tried to create the power of scanning only management plan.  Tried to change the recommended power HP plan. Tried scanning in the administrator ID.  In all cases the computer ignores the settings and falls asleep.  Firstly, the screen goes black, then the laptop on the USB LED fan cooler matrices is.  Now, he's asleep.  I hit the button ENTER and the user login screen.  I connect and the scan continues.  The first time it happened I left running the scan and returns a few hours later and the scan was started.  The only way I found to a full scan is by sitting in front of the computer and hitting the key enter every time the screen goes black.  It prevents switch to "standby" mode and the analysis ends in just over an hour.

• HP Pavilion dv6-6b57sa suddenly stopped working and will not now to power on. Help, please!

  OK, so I'm a new student and my laptop has just decided to stop working. I had the laptop for 2 years but I have not used until I came to College. Long story short, I wanted to use it as a working laptop and one im using now for media.

  Anyway, I started the dv6 and it was fine so I jumped to get a coffee. As I got home I heard a click and then the screen was cut off and now it will not turn back. I tried the hard reset, take out the battery for 15 minutes. The battery charge indicator does not come on either. I use an original HP charger and have connected it to a plug adapter multiple with an influx of cutting on it.

  No LED, no noise, no charge indicator. Can someone help me with this, extremely upset I've saved this laptop for her than to die in the first week.
