Am I able to configure a wireless iMac keyboard to emulate the way a Windows keyboard responds to a depression of the DELETE keys and BACKSPACE?

Am I able to configure a wireless iMac keyboard to emulate the way a Windows keyboard responds to a depression of the DELETE keys and BACKSPACE? I want to delete either to the left right GOLD of the cursor. By pressing the DELETE key on Mac does remove one way, but I want the ability to delete in both directions. The Windows keyboard provides a delete key to remove to the right and a key to return back to remove to the left. So I can configure an iMac for this keyboard? My thought is to keep the delete key as it is and ADD a new function to one of the function keys to delete characters to the left. Thanks for your time and your help.

Mac can go both ways, in case this is useful.  You can use fn more delete to delete to the right.  Also control more.

I suggest you try the following steps:

The error message can mean that your hardware manufacturer has provided you with its own software to wireless as an alternative configuration to Windows Wireless Auto-Configuration service.

I suggest you follow the steps below.

Use Windows to configure wireless settings

    a. go to the start menu, then select run
    b. type ncpa.cpl, and then click OK to open the menu of the network connections
    c. Select your Wi - Fi connection service and choose the option change settings of this connection.
    d. go to the wireless networks tab and check use Windows to configure my wireless network

    Launch Windows Zero Configuration

    e. return to the start menu and select run
    f. type % SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc/s, and then click OK
    g. double-click the Wireless Auto Configuration option

  • Huawei has installed a malware during the installation of the drivers for the wireless modem: tips to remove the registry keys?

    Huawei sd usb storage

Applies to: Windows | Windows Vista | Hardware and drivers

A month before, I let a co-worker install a modem Wireless USB as Huawei to use my laptop somewhere without wifi service.  Subsequently, I uninstalled the software drivers because I don't think I'll ever use this modem again.

Now, I noticed that there are several registry keys for different devices of e/s as:
    Huawei_sd_storage_usb
    and
    Huawei_some other drive type

None of these registry keys can be deleted, I get an error saying that "year error occurred during an attempt to delete the key.  Same thing if I try to write data in the registry key.  This behavior resembles a persistent virus and not a register legitimate supporting a legitimate PnP device.

I then rebooted in safe MODE, thinking which should pick up anything the malware is hung.  No go, same thing, cannot remove the key and cannot modify the data in the key.

None of the malware scanners were able to detect this, including:
    Paid last AVG
    Windows Defender
    Microsoft Security Essential
    Spybot S & D latest
    Malware Microsoft Fixit

I don't trust Huawei, and what look like these keys are to monitor my laptops I/O activities through any player or the USB port.

    HP DV5t-1000 CTO
    Pentium dual core 2.54
4 GB of DDR, Home Premium Vista 64

I'm moving your question on the forum of Windows for material and the Drivers. These are the registry keys related to the legitimate drivers provided by the manufacturer of the device and are not related to malware.

Note, however, that you have an overload of running security software and some should be deleted. If you use Microsoft Security Essentials, you must disable Windows Defender in Vista and AVG should be removed, preferably using the AVG removal tool. I have no idea what is the Microsoft Malware Fixit.

You should never have more than one security product installed on the PC, providing active protection / scan. This can cause performance problems, system instability and may adversely affect the effectiveness of these two products to provide protection.

  • Wireless does not appear in the Fn + F5 and dial-up connections to

    Hello

I just installed a hard drive on my T60 and restored of WinXP from recovery DVDs, everything seems to be working very well, I have Windows SP3 upgrade more all software patches and updates ThinkVantage software to the latest version using the update 3 System. Today, when I try to use the WLAN I found a problem, there is no way to add a WLAN profile in logins, I can choose Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG when you create the new profile in AC, but after I clicked on next, I couldn't find any SSID wireless even if there is an asset. The drop-down list of the #3 (wireless mode) is also empty, the security property button is also grayed, so I cann't go further.

I thought maybe it's because the without thread is disabled somehow, so I used Fn + F5, to my surprise it is not wireless in there! It has only Bluetooth. I have 2 wireless network connection in the network connections on Windows, it is listed as not connected, the hardware Manager shows also the NETWORK card wireless without any problem, so I think that WIndows does not recognize the wireless NETWORK card, but for some reason any Thinkvantage refuses to recognise it, any ideas?

    Thank you

    Jim

I solved my problem of uninstalling and reinstalling the driver WLAN and AC (perhaps others drivers related, can't remember). The uninstall/install sequence is important, I think that you must uninstall AC first and finally install it.

  • Wireless iMac keyboard 'stick' after sleep

Sometimes (mostly, but not always - prob 90% of the time) my wireless keyboard 'glue' after my iMac 27 "comes out of sleep mode.  At the login prompt, the entry buffer fills up with junk as if a ghost is to type, and the keyboard is completely insensitive (e.g. to remove). The only solution is to hold the power button on the keyboard until it stops and then put the new one.

The keyboard is not sticking in the physical sense, because once he recovers after a power cycle, it is back to normal (a properly glued key would be obvious that it repeats)

Battery levels are very good - this behavior occurs regardless of the battery status. I read other reports of people in need of re-pair the bluetooth connection.  He doesn't lose it is the pairing, but there is a problem with connectivity, or there is a bug?

Anyone who has experienced this problem?

    Thank you

Have you tried restarting the Mac to see if the problem persists?

If so, then then you should check to see if the key works.  It could be a keyboard failure.  Follow the steps at the end of this article.

Of course if you have an old keyboard usb located around you could plug it in and see if it works normally too.

  • Cannot set up and install a wireless printer. HP Photosmart the 427 UDP Port

I know this question has been posted several times, and before I go, I want to report that I was researching spending last week and try every possible solution I've read. So I hope that someone can offer some new or still has outstanding question.

Equipment: HP laptop, Windows 7, HP Photosmart Plus B209 all-in-one, Netgear WNDR3700 (Dual Band), Norton 360 Antivirus/Firewall

My laptop and printer are both about two years. I have the wireless printer set up in my previous home on a different network (more old netgear router). No issues what so ever.

So I recently moved into a new home, bought a new router and set up a wireless network. Everything works fine without thread; two laptops, xbox, ps3, tv, cell phones, etc.). I finally had time to set up the printer. USB works fine. But it can not configure for wireless use. I get the infamous (together with HP printers) error message that my computer cannot communicate with the printer and I need to open port 427 UDP. Tried twice more, but no dice.

Uninstalled all HP software and the printer driver and re-downloaded/installed the latest things from HP website. Tried to install the printer and Wireless Setup again, but still no dice. USB works fine.

And there began my long trip. Here is the list of things that I did without success, and I'm sure I did right. Turn off my firewall (norton and windows). Opens UDP Port 427 (norton and windows). 427 on my router (port forwarding) open UDP port. Maunally added the printer through windows as a wireless device. Manually add a network printer.

I still get the same error of UDP port 427. Please PLEASE help me. tI really want to fix this and refuse to believe that something as simple as it is not repairable. Printers are cheap and I don't mind buying a new one (not HP), but I have enough stubborn to give my with trivial issues such as this.

    Hello
