    Hello

The laptop seems to supports the Intel HM65 chipset:
    http://www.Intel.com/content/www/us/en/chipsets/value-chipsets/mobile-chipset-HM65.html

According to the Intel specification page, the chipset provides up to 6-Port SATA 3 Gb/s with up to 2 ports support 6 Gb/s transfer rate. Also the CPU must support the SATA III, but I'm not quite sure the BIOS supported m

  • Pencil of Apple compatible apps

I looked in the app store as suggested in another thread - when I search pencil Apple apps, I get the "there nothing here." So, does anyone know if there is a list? So far, I know that it works in the Notes and Pixelmator - tried in the Pages where I think it should work no doubt, but does not (certainly would be practical to type a letter, and actually the sign).

It is a brand new iPad 9.7 Pro/pencil.

If this works in both applications, it seems to be just a little too much and I can return it.

Comp CC, http://bit.ly/joc0zm, Adobe Photoshop Adobe sketch, paper and Evernote are just a few of the major apps that work with the pencil of Apple.  Please try these great apps; the use of pencil Apple made a great experience on iPad pro.

  • What encryption (if any) is used by Apple bluetooth Magic keyboard (MLA22LL/A) when communicating with MacBook Pro?

I am considering buying magical Keyboard wireless Apple (MLA22LL/A). What (if any) encryption is used by this keyboard blue-tooth when it communicates with the Mac Book Pro?

I have a Mac Book Pro running OS X El Capitan.

The only real encryption it offers is the fact that it pairs with your computer based on a code that you see only on your computer.     There are some wireless keyboards with much more sophisticated cipher such as AES.   Interestingly enough Apple uses AES encryption for its images of which are encrypted disk utility.

When you use a Windows keyboard, you won't get the same start strokes keyboard sequence, and the implementation of the Alt key and the windows are in reverse order of the Mac keyboard functionality.  Many start sequence shortcuts only work on the wired Apple compatible keyboards.   Logitech and compatible third-party Apple MacAlly keyboards.  Microsoft for its own keyboards makes a pilot who will the placement of the button Alt and Windows in the right order.

ALT = key Option from Apple.

Windows = control of Apple key.

  • Compatible product HD for HP Pavillion P6754Y

More than 6 months ago I started getting the dreaded 'hard drive failure is imminent. Yes, I took all the precautions. Last night he died (to a certain extent, I was still able to make a final backup). My question is... now that I'll have to replace the HD, the Segate ST310005N1A1AS-RK will be correct and work in my HP P6754Y (OS Win7)?

    Yes.

The ST310005N1A1AS-RK will work. Your desktop PC uses SATA hard drives. The one you have chosen is a type of SATA300 which is downwards compatible with the SATA specification.

    Hello

    > I want to change SATA in IDE, but I couldn't find the option in the BIOS

In the Bios, go to the advanced option and choose, Compatible mode, (optionally sata controller). May I ask why you need Ide mode?

  • By Satellite L655-1KE supports SATA III?

    Hello world

Sorry, but I write quickly because I repair this laptop from a friend (and need to do this before Christmas!).

The problem is that the HARD disk is dead.
So I need to buy a new one, but I have a question: does this computer motherboard support SATA III or only SATA II? The original HARD drive is SATA II.

As the HARD drive is dead, I am not able to install a tool like Everest to get information.

So, can anyone give me the answer help or is there a tool I can start and who could give me details on the SATA III supported?

Another idea, is it a tool capable of giving that there are details from the start in mod console with a Windows CD?

    Thank you in advance!

    Gourbish.

Yes, you might be right; SATA III isn't taken care of.
I had installed a compatible drive SSD SATA III but I could get max / 3 Gb/s, which means SATA II

However, the SATA is backward compatible, so you should be able to use a SATA III HARD disk but with limited performance.

  • Support SATA 3

My Aspire 7736Z has interface SATA II (two). A new HD has been ordered from Amazon; the product description says SATA II (3.0 GB - I think), but the specs on the hard disk itself say 6.0 Mb which correspond to the SATA III (three). If this new HD is set to SATA III will be works in SATA II machine without conflict?   Thanx.

    Disoriented Bob

Bob, I cut and pasted this for you, but it seems that the answer is 'yes '.

SATA II (revision 2.x) interface, formerly known as the SATA 3 Gb/s, is a second generation of turning to 3.0 GB/s SATA interface. The bandwidth rate, which is supported by the interface is up to 300 MB/s.

SATA III (revision 3.x), formerly called the SATA 6 Gb/s, is a SATA interface operating third generation 6.0 GB/s. The bandwidth rate, which is supported by the interface is up to 600 MB/s. This interface is compatible with the SATA 3 Gb/s interface.

SATA II specifications provide backward compatibility of function on SATA channels. SATA III Specifications provide backward compatibility to run on SATA I and SATA II ports. However, the maximum speed of the disk will be slower because of lower speed limits of the port.

  • Pavilion p6310y: WD10EZEX hard drive is compatible for the Pavilion p6310y?

    Hello

I'm looking for a replacement of the hard disk of my Pavilion p6310y. I found a hard disk WD10EZEX on Amazon. It has the same features as the WD10EADS came with the pc when I bought it. But with some better features. The WD10EZEX is compatible?

Hi, the active drive WD10EADS is a HARD SATA 2.0, while you are looking in WD10EZEX is a SATA 3.0. However, this should not be a problem since the SATA standard is backward compatible and a SATA 3.0 drive should work on a SATA 2.0 port. The difference in the size of the buffer and the ROTATION speed should not be a problem too, so you should be able to use a WD10EZEX in your system. Be sure to do a good backup of all your data on an external HARD drive before you start to replace your HARD drive. Good luck.

  • DELL new 1 TB drive 6 GB/s SATA is not correctly recognized by DELL SAS 6/ir controller

    I have a Dell PowerEdge R310 with a Raid SAS 6iR controller
    with a SATA 2 x 1 TB drives RAID1 volume.
The SAS Raid Controller is a LSI1068E chipset.
Now, I bought a new drive to replace a faulty in the RAID1 volume.
Has bought the drive with Dell
    400-18614 1 TB SATA 7.2 k 3.5 "HD Hot Plug fully assembled - Kit
It seems that it is a seagate ST1000NM0033.
It is a 6GB SATA drive.
When I replaced the defective drive - the RAID1 game not resync No.
In fact, the controller has not see the drive. When I plugged the drive
in another (new), the Bay, and then the controller did see the drive, however,
it it detected as a virtual disk with only 3950 MB (4 GB)!
Any idea if this disc is:
    -broken?
-not compatible with / 3GB SATA?
-needs jumpers positioned to be compatible?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi all

    Thanks for the comments.

However, in my opinion, the disc should work and I shouldn't waste my time at low level

kind of things. It should be "swap-out/swap-in/resync '...

So I called the support technique dell that the disc is not good.

Come back my money - ordered a new one - exactly the same model - and it works very well!

If the disc was just DOA.

Thank you all for your time tho.

    Kind regards

    Kurt

  • HDD SATA 3 will work with SATA2 - Inspiron N5050?

    Hello

I have Dell Inspiron 15 N5050. His hard drive is crash, I'm looking to replace it with the new HARD drive.

Current config said abut my HDD existing as

"400-24705: hard drive: 1 TB SATA (5400 RPM).

    Part number Description quantity

    5M94D1HARD DRIVE, 1 T, S2, 5.4, THE 2.5, 512TH, SMSNG-M8.

If I buy HDD SATA3 so will it work with my laptop?

Western Digital Black 500 GB - internal hard drives (disk HARD Serial ATA III, 0-60 ° C,-40-65 ° C)

    Concerning

    Rakesh

    Inspiron 15 N5050

    raks12345,

By design, all the newest SATA standards are retro-compatible with older SATA standards and will return at low speed as they go to work. So no matter whether a controller SATA 1 with a SATA 3 drive or a SATA 3 controller with a SATA 1 drive, or any combination with SATA 2 so, they should all work together very well.

The only exception in my experience, it's that some old SATA drives require a 3.3 volt, while most of the readers work fine without it. It is a power supply problem not a problem of SATA version.

For me, to help troubleshoot, please click on my DELL-Jesse L and send me a private Message with the number of Service Dell and your Dell order number.

  • NTFS drive to el captain

I got a disc ntfs 3 TB external that I use for my Mac.  Now, I have determined that it's ntfs, I can't write for her. So my solution is to copy the data to 2 TB hard compatible Apple and reformat the original 3 TB drive from Apple compatible.  The question can I reformat the old drive of 3 TB NTFS for Apple?  Should what format I use? Would it not readable if I plug it into my old Windows machine?

    Thank you

The question can I reformat the old drive of 3 TB NTFS for Apple?

Yes. If you want access to read and write for Windows use one of these FAT: MS-DOS (FAT) or ExFAT. For exclusive use on a Mac, use OS X extended (journaled) or (logged, Encrypted).
