an automatic disk cleanup will clean all user profiles

We have a couple of departments which are 24/7 and every shift computer shares.  There are well more than 10 active users this connection to each of these machines.  This is obviously not ideal configuration and system offset is widespread, even shortly after image.  Unfortunately, I am not able to implement the major changes for these departments as a whole, but at least, I would like to find a way to maintain the systems function properly these guys here.

would it not possible to run the cleanup utility to drive as a daily scheduled task so that it would be clean all profiles on computers, not only the current profile? * preference, will be little or no user interaction.

users are not likely to run themselves (even with instructions) and reset all passwords to open a session manually for each of them is not only difficult and time consuming, but would cause more problems than it solves.

so in short, we need something that can function, automatic or manually, which will wipe the WHOLE - all profiles of school boards - drive connected with admin account.  I hope that schedule a task to run the complete cleaning of the drive is the answer, but none of the research I've done today has been spent on this aspect in detail.

suggestions, tips, welcome to miracles.

/ Thank you very much

Clear cache files will be only to make the computer slower, more bandwidth allows to re-download and repopulate the cache.

It will cause your computer is slower and your bandwidth to be used more, but if you wish, you can probably just set your browser temporary empty files when you exit.  Whenever you visit a page to re-download the image/script/code active once again, but if you have a fast connection and don't care about the lag, that's fine.

As for the help of a cleaning program: it will clean all that he has access to clean. So, in a typical scenario, the task would need work as an admin account, so he has access to all profiles.

  • Refreshed, lost Firefox session. I copied and pasted sessionstore.js in all user profiles, but nothing. Help, please

I refresh firefox to help the slow - ment that he hooked me on but he lost the session.
I looked online, found the thing that says to paste the sessionstore.js in the user profile, done this, but it did not work. I have now copied this file (of old data of Firefox on the desktop) in each profile that I can find, but nothing. have I misunderstood something? Please help, I need these tabs!

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

Make sure Firefox is closed when you copy the file sessionstore.js "Old data Firefox" folder on the desktop to the current profile folder.

You can also consult upgrade.js-< build_id > files in the sessionstore-backups folder.

You can save session files in the sessionstore-backups folder in the Firefox profile folder to keep possible significant session data.

previous.js (cleanBackup: copy of sessionstore.js from previous session that was loaded successfully)
recovery.js (latest version of the sessionstore written during runtime)
recovery.bak (previous version of the sessionstore written during runtime)
upgrade.js-<build_id> (backup created during an upgrade of Firefox)

You can copy a file in the sessionstore-backup folder to the main profile and rename sessionstore.js file to replace the current file (make a backup of the current sessionstore.js).

  • Disk Cleanup will not work correctly

My "clean disk" doesn't work anymore.  It was fine until a couple of weeks, and then, for some reason, he just stop 'cleaning up' and comes back with a '0' (zero) under total cleaned files.  I could not find any solution on MS looking for possible responses, so please if someone could tell me how to get it to work properly it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I have IE6 and tried everything what MS has proposed to do to update to IE8, but my kind of "old (10 years plus) computer accepts the download but gives me constantly errors when I go to run other programs I have on my computer."  The worst being "dcmigrate" (I think that's how it's spelled wrong) is a not and I don't know what "dcmigrate" is or what its related to program.  More I got other errors as well, and I send them in MS when it allows me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you all in advance for your help.

the error that you got respect is expected.

you see on the first screen that arose after that booting with the cd had two options for you.

It is 'install' and the other is for 'R' - for repair.

selection R, would launch the repair recovery console.

However, it seems that you have made with the option 'install '.

the problem with this option is that if you are in the xs version - sp of the cd does not match the version of the os - Ms on the computer, and then you get the error.

This error happens all the time, because people have the xp sp2 cd, but the computer has been updated to sp3 of xp, so the cd and the versions of the system do not match.

the only way to get around the scenario of the updated game is (1) either uninstall sp3 update via Add / Remove programs or (2) create a sp3 bootable cd, which is free and authorized by microsoft.

in any case, I hope that aid above to clarify the unexpected situation you took place.

do not hesitate to let us deliver it with your status.

  • Deleting files facilities previous windows, using disk cleanup will disrupt the performance of windows 7?

I have very little space on the hard drive (about 7gbts) and can win 9.3gbts by removing the previous installation files. However, I don't know if I can do it without the laptop unusable. Any solid info on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Files left by previous installations are just a backup in case something does not work
work properly after reinstalling (resettlement "repair/upgrade") and they can be deleted once
you are sure that the system works properly.
You can also save the file to an external source like DVD (files can be moved
in the groups to separate from the DVD) or disk external DRIVE as an extra precaution.

  • Tecra 9100: I want to use the same settings in all user profiles

I use it on a Tecra 9100 (if it matters).

Is it possible to export my settings (best for all profiles at a time), to copy it to another windows user? and any other laptop Tecra 9100? I work with two user accounts on my laptop (one for businesses, a private), I did all the settings as I want, but in the other user account, it comes with factory settings, so I guess that these settings are stored for each user separately.

And if it's possible, I want to copy the settings for laptop computer to my colleague too.

  • Should I delete "by user pending windows error reporting" in disk cleanup?

Hi, I'm using Vista Home Premium and this is my question.

'by user windows error reporting pending"on my performances of more than 16.5 GB so disk cleanup I think delete. I checked the forums window says it's a bug and will mess up my data if I did. But the answers were pretty old (2007-beginning of 2009). My laptop is just upgraded to service pack 2. So I don't know whether or not this so-called bug has already been fixed. Should I delete it or just leave it there? Will it continue to grow if I don't do anything? I read some messages and some said that it has increased to more than 100 GB.

    Thank you.
