An iframe element works weird in Firefox - ideas, why?

Hey there,

Sorry if this isn't the right category, but I couldn't find one that seemed most appropriate. I have a question about the iframe element. My page there are like this:

< iframe height = "0" width = "0" src = "< some_URL >" > < / iframe >

in the < head > element. The purpose of this iframe is carry out some work in the background and it is a legacy code - anything that is currently developing. When I show the Mozilla page, I see a point in this iframe. When you use IE I don't see anything, what is expected.

Any ideas why Mozilla would show this point? I use version 19.

See you soon,.

  • formItem direction: vertical, does not work... any idea why?

    Hey guys... im basically trying to place my text box just below my formItem label and after some research, I discovered that I just need to add the formItem layout = "vertical"...

    the code I have is

         for each(var item:Object in menuItems){
              var formItem:FormItem = new FormItem();
              for each(var category:Object in categories){
                   if(item.Type == category.Id){
                        formItem.label = category.DisplayName;
                        formItem.setStyle("labelStyleName", "formItemLabelLeft");
         //----------->          formItem.direction = "vertical";

                   }
              }
              var textArea:TextArea = new TextArea();
              textArea.text = item.Description;
              textArea.height = 50;
              formItem.addElement(textArea);
              menuForm.addChild(formItem);
         }

    any ideas?

    Not sure, I understand the need to use a container of form, but if you want an easy solution, try to use a FormHeading to show labels instead of set the FormItem label:

  • Hotmail no longer works with firefox. Why?

    All of a sudden, I can't hotmail to work with my firefox browser. When I click on what anyone in hotmail, no action. All other websites work very well.
    Internet Explorer and Chrome will allow me to work with hotmail.
    Why all of a sudden is this problem occurring?

    I restarted the computer and even downloaded Firefox again, but the situation still exists.
    This problem can be solved?

    Thank you very much
    avwood

    Have tried all of these steps before and it made no difference.

    But for some reason strange Firefox now works with Hotmail. I have no idea why. I did nothing.

    Thanks for your help.

  • One of the 3 links on a web page works not under Firefox 9.0.1 but all three work under IE.

    Please float your mouse over the Paypal button (in the lower left) and on the envelope button and the arrow will change to a pointing finger. It float above the adjacent Blog button and the arrow is an arrow. With Internet Explorer, all three buttons links work - but not with Firefox 9.0.1. Why is this?

    I have no idea why this works in Internet Explorer. The div with id "txt_582" is painted on top of the imagemap for the button "Blog". So this div block mouse clicks. Reduction of the height of this div may fix the problem.

  • Why links inside my Flash site work correctly in Firefox 3.6.1 and Safari 5.0.2? Canany

    No idea why this is? Both the latest versions of firefox and Safari can not display e-mail links. For some reason, they don't parse or the "mailto:".

    I would be very gratefull for any comment.

    Thank you!

    I noticed the same problem (with firefox). If you change the settings for mailto (Tools/options/applications) 'always ask' so it doesn't seem to work (ie: you get a popup asking what email application to use), but it's not very good for users...

  • NTLM authentication does not work well with Firefox and WebTier (11 GR 2)

    Hello
    We use authentication NTLM with Jason Straubs NTLM - Sentry feature (http://jastraub.blogspot.com/2008/03/ntlm-http-authentication-and.html) Page.

    With the old configuration of Apex 3.2 with HTTP-Server Oracle 10 g 2-companion-album, it works fine.

    Now install us a Web server with Oracle 11 GR 2 (Oracle Web Tier). I have set up the DADS. CONF in the same way as the old HTTP server. With IE, it works, but with Firefox, I get a HTTP 401 "authorization required". If I press the F5 key to reload the page in Firefox, it works.

    Any suggestions?

    Kind regards
    Mark

    Hi Mark,

    I'm sorry that I have not seen that you stayed with APEX 3.2. Therefore, it is fair to ESO who changed...

    First new idea:
    Debug information are useful as we see where Firefox gets to. The flow seems to be the same for both browsers. Perhaps the WebTier sends answers differently. I see another article that could be excluded for Firefox:

            -- See http://www.nabble.com/Empty-POST-requests-on-IE-td15332680.html
            -- We have to trick IE that he thinks the authentication fails, otherwise
            -- he doesn't send any data when issueing a POST because he wants to
            -- do the NTLM stuff again
            owa_util.status_line
              ( nstatus => 401,
                creason => 'Unauthorized',
                bclose_header => FALSE
              );

    The commentary says that the part is required for IE. The result for owa_util.status_line is perhaps send too early for Firefox or closed, that the 'old' OSH handled diffrently. If indeed this should be left aside for Firefox, you can try to change the code as follows

    IF WWV_Flow.get_browser_version != 'NSCP'
            THEN
            -- See http://www.nabble.com/Empty-POST-requests-on-IE-td15332680.html
            -- We have to trick IE that he thinks the authentication fails, otherwise
            -- he doesn't send any data when issueing a POST because he wants to
            -- do the NTLM stuff again
            owa_util.status_line
              ( nstatus => 401,
                creason => 'Unauthorized',
                bclose_header => FALSE
              );
    END IF;

    This leads me to a second point:
    I remember of this manual, you may need to update the owa_util when using the APEX in combination with OHS 11 g.
    What version of owa_util do you currently use?

    select owa_util.get_version from dual;

    APEX 3.2.1 comes with owa_util 10.2.0.6 which is the minimum required version. If your database currently has a lower version, you can update it out of your installation package APEX by running owainst.sql located in the owa- directory as sysdba.

  • Why isn't the RT addon is no longer works from a Firefox update?

    Can someone explain how to fix an Addon RT outage once updated to Firefox?

    The failure continues even after uninstalling the Addon of RT.
    Then reboot and then reinstalling the Addon of RT.

    The RT Addon worked perfectly until Firefox did an upgrade!
    Mozilla also answer questions of support on this issue.

  • Flash works fine in firefox 14 but I can't update

    Firefox could only have this problem. My operating system is windows xp pro 32-bit computer Sp. I upgraded from 12 Firefox Firefox 14 Friday and everything worked fine. No problem, however the next day, I saw that the flash was updated from version 11.3.300.265 to11.3.300.268. The opera and internet Explorer update to the new version. 14 Firefox is not. I check messages, Google, forums, nothing. So I downloaded flash again and still no change in Firefox. Still using the old version of flash. Now the new flash works fine in Firefox, the question is why it refresh.? So I tried to update the plugin myself nothing, became: config and enabled the plugin container and tried other things that did not work. I don't understand. I'm OK with Firefox 14 but not if I have to use an older version of flash, and I'm on the edge when I am forced to upgrade my browser and it works very well. Here is a link on the adobe forums that a guy has the same problem six days ago. see that they have in the forum believe it is a Firefox will not deliver a flash program.
    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/1040108?TSTART=0

    I'm using google chrome because i don't want to use an older version of flash. I knew it was too good to be true. If i can get it fixed it's still the second best browser in my mind. If I can't then i need to change. THANKS.

    If you have the 265 and the 268 in the folder, delete the 265 by hand. It is possible that some Flash media plays so the Adobe installer did not cleaning itself. I cross my fingers.

  • Adobe Flash Player works only with firefox

    I downloaded the latest adobe flash player plugin, but it does not work with Firefox. It works on Internet Explorer.

    All of these problems come from the fact that Vista and Windows 7 64-bit operating systems. Internet Explorer is also 64-bit but Firefox is unfortunately not 64-bit compatible and cannot use 32-bit plug-ins.

    When upgrading Flash, it will look at your system and select the 64 bit version. This says it contains a 32 bit version as well, but this does not seem to work on version 11x64_mssa_aih. It will work fine on all programs except firefox.
    To make sure you have a working version on Firefox you will need to search the Flash support site for 11x32_mssa_aih which is the 32 bit upgrade package.
     Until Flash fixes their version 11 package, or Firefox supports 64 bit plug-ins, you will need to run both a 32 bit and a 64 bit Flash player.

  • I recently had to have my rebuilt computer caused by a virus. Now I have Mozilla Firefox with ABP and noticed that Mozilla has a built-in phishing and virus program. Do I need another antivirus program and if so, the one that works best with Firefox?

    I recently had to have my rebuilt computer caused by a virus. Now I have Mozilla Firefox with ABP and see that Firefox has a program's built-in phishing and viruses. Do I need a program additional anti-malware? If so, the one that works best with Firefox? Seems put more you on these things the you have more trouble.

    The anti-phishing protection and malware that Firefox uses checks against a list of websites that have been reported to contain a form of malware and then alerts you. Firefox itself does not scan files to see if they contain viruses/malware. You still need a form any anti-virus and anti-malware protection. You must also use a firewall.

    As for which is better, you are likely to get many different answers, it's a topic that generates a lot of discussion. A product one person loves will be hated by someone else. I use Microsoft Security Essentials as well as Windows Firewall.

The animation of the doors opening (animated gif) play twice on Chrome and IE. It should play only once. #3 Photoshop generated code is not valid.  See the link below for more details.
