an Indian company called MSTECHONLINEcalled me this AM and shoiwed me MISTAKES in MY COMPUTER. Then he said they represent, YOU... NO, should I call GEEKSQUAD on these RED errors > and why my laptop is running slowly?
It is a SCAM! Do not leave them in your computer! If you did and you use your computer for banking or online, you will need to call your Bank and credit card companies, and then your computer will need to be formatted and reinstalled. If you search these forums you will see MANY results for this this kind of scam.
Microsoft never call you unless you have initiated the call.
I hope this helps.

I have a server that I do not use. She has windows SBS 2011. I need to convert this powerful server to my PC I need. Please tell me if this is possible, and how to do this.
Thank you
Could you provide the specifications of the server?
Companies often convert departmental servers to client machines of the time when they are upgrading to the most recent. The process should be easy by inserting the Windows 7 disc and perform a custom installation.
Consider the following text:
How to: perform a customized Windows installation
See the section for Windows 7.

Hi there, hope someone can help me on this issue.
I received several calls from a company called 'eprotectionz' technical department which proposes to rid your computer of an "infection" (no virus) apparently slowing down Windows. In a first time, I finished the callwhen they began to ask questions about my computer. They are appatently a global company - I am based in Australia and on checking their site, they operate out of the Australia and other countries. Their phone number here in Aust is 02-8091-0114. This company is legitimate. I become more suspicious when they ask to enter my computer remotely while I followed the instructions to remove the so-called infection. I don't trust everybody these days and trust no one! What do you think?? Thanks in advance,
Australia. Take a look at this, mate.

Apple uses a company called tech solutions area?
Apple uses a company called techzone solutions
Very probably not.
Is it a cold call when someone calls or you to tell you that your iDevice is messed up and you need to call and set e-mails?
If so, it is a very common scam. Apple NEVER will contact you about your device unless you did something to initiate the first contact... as in they respond to your request, but they will call you never just out of the blue.
If you are wondering if this company is an authorized service provider, the list can be found here.
And see if they are on it

How to check a company called Microsoft Support?
I keep getting phone calls from a company called support essential Microsoft technical support request. I paid for support over two years with a company, but I don't think it's the same company. In any case, the calling company says that they are part of Microsoft and they can update my security settings to keep hackers out of my network and keep someone who they say hacked into my network and sending offensive spam. It's for real? I live in the country and have no neighbors. How a person to hack my network? I have literally no neighbors within 2 miles.
Its a variant of this type of scam.
*******************************************This is a scam that last for years. Microsoft never does unsolicited phone calls.

I continue to receive calls from a company called wintech.
I continue to receive calls from a company called wintech and a man who is obviously in India, but called Shane Watson! I was on the phone for about 3 hours for him today! I pay money for them last year and am now being harassed to pay more. He gave me a 020 30262097 phone number and identification number to authenticate his call. The company that the payments go to the e-business solutions East nias. He showed me the screens that are supposed to be errors on my PC and also stated that the pirates are using my IP address to hack other computers? I don't know if it is a lie. It sounds me again in the morning to take payment for software that is supposed to be for a "performance booster PC + anti software piracy" after reading some of these posts, I'm now really worried that he already won access to my PC.
Hello
It's a scam.
We have all the errors and warnings in our Event Viewer, which is another ploy they use to scare you
Either these so-called "Microsoft" Tech companies want to sell you a worthless software, or remote access to your computer to try to steal your credit card and bank information and also achieve an identity theft on you.
You are the only person who knows if you gave them remote access.
If you gave them remote access and you do Internet banking, contact your bank, to explain, and change passwords.
If you use your online credit card, cancel and get a new one issued to you.
And the only way that willl you know that you are free to them is to backup your data and do a clean install of your operating system.
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
And Microsoft does not contact you unless YOU have made prior arrangements with them to do.
There is an article in the link I'm you provide at the end of this one

I have a 6 s with Verizon iPhone. Can I send/receive calls (using this service and calls on other devices functionality) on my iPhone 5s, who was with AT & T service, but has no service now since I switched to Verizon?
Note: I'm able to get two phones to ring with an incoming call, but the 5s consist not out. Whenever I dial a number, it says call failed.
Do not dial a number. Try to choose a contact in the contacts App and tapping on telephone button.
That said, I don't think that outgoing calls work on continuity since another iPhone. given that the iphone is designed to make calls through its own service.
Document to support that you just did not mention calls from a secondary iPhone at all, it points to Mac, iPad and iPod touch, which leads me to believe that it won't work.
It runs from devices such as iPads and Macs, who have no other way to place a cell call.

How do I keep my wifes calls appear on my phone and mine appear on hers, we share the same acct icloud and itunes? It just started this on one or two updates ago
Welcome to the Apple community.
I'm afraid that is what happens when you share an Apple ID.
Ideally you should each have your own ID and use family share for share purchases, but at least you would be better to have your own ID's for everything except iTunes.
I suspect that your problem is that you share an ID for FaceTime, you must either stop this or make sure that you have only and that your caller ID is only your phone number.

Original title: company PC Efix
Had a call from a company called PC efix and request my computer's infected badly and can solve the problem. They have a web address. Are they known to be a reputable company or organization of scam?
The fact that they called you is violating your privacy. For service companies, if you call them and ask for help, they will call you back or if request you the support from them. But if someone calls you out of blue and you say they could help you, it is likely to be a SCAM, I suggest to take a look at:

I have just started with a new internet provider and get phone calls from a source to say that they are windows and the need to access my computer because its infected in windows. It is this true.
No, it's a scam, ignore the call.
Just hang up, they are trying to steal your information or to install a virus on your PC.
