analog audio output and digital optical

I just bought a 500-214 with IDT High Def Audio CODEC Pavilion / DTS Sound +.

Is it possible to get opitcal of audio output digital and analog (speakers/headphones) at the same time?  Stereo amp needs access both to the multizone/source function.  I can manually choose one or the other before the reading - it is clumsy that when audio of of active switching devices will turn off, but a passage to not always light up.  But I really need both active simultaneously for amp work properly.  I also found jack rear speaker to be more stubborn while headphones jack front of switch.

Hi zombi1,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I did some research on whether or not we can use the analog or digital audio output at the same time, and it is unfortunately not possible.

Thanks for posting and happy Earth Day!

  • Digital input to Toshiba 46TL-> no analog audio output to amplifier

    Hi all

When I connect a video source (e.g. computer laptop via DLNA) to my 46TL, output TV audio analog (red/white taken connected to an amplifier) does not work.

    It does, however, watching television.

Is it possible to configure the TV to read the audio data from digital input (HDMI/DLNA) to the analog output?

    Thank you for the help

Not quite what series of TLxxx you have, but for example the TL938 supports a digital (optical) audio output port that provides a digital audio signal.
Why n t connect the amplifier to the TV using this Jack?

Connectors for component video / audio to the rear of the TV are the ports of ENTRY and not the OUTPUT ports. So, you can send an audio signal to the TV and not the amplifier output.

  • No audio output to connect optical S/PDIF on XPS L501X

Hi, I'm trying to connect my laptop XPS to a Logitech 5.1 system using S/PDIF output. I get the light at the end of the cable, so I know I have the optical part of the connection works, but there is no sound. The Logitech unit tells me that I get all digital data, and the internal speakers on the laptop does not turn off when I plug the S/PDIF (as in, it acts like nothing has been connected).

I looked everywhere for a parameter which will direct the audio to the optical output and to mute the internal speakers, but can't find it. I said the applet Realtek I plugged an S/PDIF connection in the connector. You would think that this would automatically shunt the audio of this output, but no luck. Even if she is out of light, laptop computer behaves as if nothing is plugged.

If it is relevant, making combo works fine when I plug headphones (headphones hear; internal speakers mute). And the Logitech system works very well with regular electric entries, so I don't think that's the problem.

    Any advice?

    Thank you very much

  • analog audio cable to digital

I want to get a small walkman cassette audio 3.5 mm cable into the computer by the USB bus. Am I understanding that the required cable must be 'converted' because one end is analog and digital on the other? I intend to cassettes music download the Garageband application. If Yes, where can I buy such a cable converter, I hope that stereo, perhaps with nickel or gold contacts?

You need an analog-to-digital converter for this: for example https://www.amazon.com/HiFiMeDIY-Digital-Analog-Converter-PCM2706/dp/B00CWVDPC0/. Alternatively you can get a simple tape with a USB connector like this player: http://www.tape-2-mac.co.uk/.

  • best way to digital audio output on 6400?

    Hello

I have a 5.1 system surround that accepts audio digital via the coaxial and optical inputs. I would like to connect my laptop through one of these contributions.

When you play a dvd (or downloaded content) with audio digital (IE dolby digital) in my computer (6400), I can only analog audio output through the headphone jack for the moment.

I read some info with what concerns the spdif adapter or sound card.

can someone confirm that the spdif adapter works for 6400 and where I can get this? I live in England.

is his best card and sends audio digital of the surround system without changing it?

should what sound card I use?

  • Satellite U300-11V - there is sometimes no audio output

I need help with my laptop Satellite U300-11v,

I was faced with the Audio device driver problem, sometimes there is no audio output, and then back after a reboot or put to sleep the laptop, its been like a movement of the audio device. where he sometimes lacks the driver, could you give me a hint on this problem?

I had downloaded the latest version of the driver and installed but remains in the same State.

    Hello!

What operating system do you use?
Using the preinstalled operating system or another version?

It's not easy to say which is the reason why, but make sure that you have installed the latest SP for your operating system and all updates. You can check this by using the Windows Update.

In addition, I would recommend updating BIOS. You can find it on the Toshiba site.

  • Audio output remove EZsound

I have a MacBook Air, the latest version of the operating system.

I noticed the other day that my internal speakers stopped working. I checked the audio output and noted that an outlet called its EZ has been chosen as an output rather than the internal speakers.

I have no idea where it comes from but I can't uninsall it. I checked my library/extensions folder and there is nothing that matches.

    Any help apprecited

Hey mate, here is the fix:

    1. go in Macintosh HD > system > library > Extensions folder

    2. find the EZSound.kext file and place that in the trash
    3. restart your computer.

  • No audio output device is installed - not corrupt Windows drivers

Suddenly had a red cross on the audio output and not sound. The thought of hardware problem. Bought basic sound card, drivers installed. The Red Cross again still no sound. Looked on MS answers. Tried all simple suggestions for pilots and others. Downloaded the drivers and install them like crazy.  No change, nothing. Not realized a driver problems. The issue of corruption of Windows. Did a clean install of DVD and voila, the sound is restored with no red cross.  Then tried to update from Windows.old. He successfully achieved and... Red Cross reappears. Now, did a clean install once more and have a machine with its work but not user or data files. Bloody Windows folder; There are 45 485 files in my Windows.old in Windows version (file) and install 45 307 files in my own version of the same file. Somewhere in this huge haystack is the needle that explains why the sound does not work. Damndest thing. For others suffering from the issue of audio, so that many well-meaning folk here have put forward sensible suggestions on the drivers, they are not necessarily the answer. And in fact may just lose a lot of your time.

Anyone with suggestions for the restoration of a more selective way of Windows.old or my last backup (of course without causing corruption..)?

    Hi SpiritX/Rob,

Thanks, yes I already tried and actually a restore successful from the windows.old folder. Unfortunately, the restoration has also eliminated my audio (and network and probably some other stuff too - another story)!

I myself have reconciled now to live with my own installation, made a new battery of updates from WIndows (about 250 MB worth!) last night and always perfect. Machine has always has audio, still has the networking.

I don't want to treat it as a new machine, just re - install the program I really need/want rather than lots of "stuff" that you think you want or as Apple, Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Sun (Java) manage to drag your defenses.  First installation has been AV (Eset), next installation will be Paragon (for back-up). So my own programs, then the user files.

It would be a very interesting experience to compare the 'pilot' between my windows (clean-install, work) current functional folder and those in the hiearachy of corresponding windows.old. Who'd settle, to some extent, whether the pilots themselves or some other setting in some different files.

Thanks again for your support here, and I love the quote from Mark Twain.

    See you soon

  • Is there no way to run an AIR application audio to audio output devices different from?

I need to do a couple of our AIR applications select some audio devices to send their audio output, and last year, someone mentioned possibly using native extensions to do this.  I had to start working on other things for a while, but I'll be back to that (for the moment), and I basically learned how to create native extensions.

But so far, they do not seem to provide me with any privileged access to what's happening under the hood of an AIR application.  When you stream live in via RTMP or RTMFP, details of the audio you are hidden.  It doesn't seem to be any place where you can actually access the audio bytes are sent on the network.  You can specify a certain object SoundTransform for the NetStream to use, but this class is final and one vanilla Flash build, so even though she may have a way to access the audio bytes, they are not accessible to all.

It really seems that, when a NetStream starts streaming live audio, there is no way under the Sun for access to the bytes of audio and direct them to a certain audio output device, with or without extensions.  Is it so?  It would be unfortunate that Adobe does not allow it, even through the native extensions.  Thank you.

    Couple quick thoughts...

The limits are important. There is a lot of work to maintain a clear separation between a decision to users and developers. For example, you cannot change an audio by default to users out because that clearly violates a decision to users. That said, this is a mess of people debating the issue and in fact finally a COM API without papers you can find allows you to actually do in Vista/Win7 (but not 8), but do not expect that it is a "right thing to do":

    lie lly-setting-the-default-playback-device-and-recording-device?forum=windowspro-audiodevelop http://social.Microsoft.com/forums/en-US/9ebd7ad6-A460-4A28-9de9-2af63fd4a13e/programatica

You can get a drink before reading this.

Incidentally, RTMP is secure, which explains why you can't access the bytes. The entire purpose of this is to ensure that their media cannot easily be copied or stolen media developers. Adobe don't document their method of securing the flow, but they do not publish the RTMP protocol specification. It is quite possible for you to create your own server method and encryption protocol RTMP while providing an RTMP stream to the custom client that you yourself the code which peut read flow. Here are the specs:

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/RTMP.html

So I would say that it would be unfortunate if Adobe did give, you access the bytes. You might as well hand users an mp3 of a song because they steal left and right media.

That does mean that you can not use a multitude of ways to get data via the default output device. Many applications (fraps/etc) captures audio streams video and mixed. But Adobe won't give you the keys of the Kingdom and allow you to decrypt protected multimedia Protocol.

  • 55VL900A and BDX4300KY - TV is not output Dolby Digital fiber optic

Just installed my new TV, 55VL900A - great picture, very happy. I have a BDX4300KY a drive blueray and Foxtel connected to the TV via HDMI.

The TV has audio output optical fiber, which I run for my Yamaha DSP - A1 amp.

The Blueray and Foxtel are defined to pass on Dolby Digital through HDMI.

Problem 1: TV does not have Dolby Digital of the fiber optic connection.

Problem 2: If I run audio blueray or foxtel fiber optics directly to my amp, there is a sync problem. The audio is delivered earlier than the image.

I searched and found no results in my manual, or in the forum. Help, please.

    Thank you, Mike.

    Hello

I put t have the same devices at home, but I use the optical cable for sound. It is connected to my blue ray and Technichs amp player. I use 5.1 home theater connected to the Technics. The sound is perfect.

I put t know how it works on TV Toshiba but check please if something should be enabled there.
    > The TV does not have Dolby Digital of the fiber optic connection.
See s operating manuals and do not forget the optical output must not be activated. Optical cable is connected to the amp in the optical port marked as TV in the back? Don't forget that bulks is set to TV chanel when you want to hear the sound of the TV directly. In my opinion, it should be best option for you if you will be able to make it work.
    > If I run audio blueray or foxtel fiber optics directly to my amp, there is a sync problem. The audio is delivered earlier than the image.
Which is really strange. Can you please test it with cable audio normal cinch? It will be interesting to know if the same problem occurs again.

  • Producer consumer with inputs and outputs analog and digital

    Hello world

I'm working on a program of control system for some practical test work. Currently, I am working on the data acquisition of the Labview program component. My architecture is consumer-product loops with a what. My system will have analog inputs, outputs, analog inputs and digital outputs. It is not a criticism of time sytem, but I wish that all the acquisition of data to synchronize. I enclose my program because it is at the moment. I have difficulties to get all the data in the since that I have two types of data. In addition, I don't know if I have synced the four sequences of read/write correctly. I would be very happy if someone could take a look at my program and give me some advice. Thanks in advance.

  • How to trigger and outputs analog and digital Outout tasks begins on a counter to start?

    Hello

I'm trying to synchronize the start of a task outputs analog, a task of digital output and a task of counter. I want to start the counter to serve the master trigger and analog and digital tasks to synchronize his departure.

I guess I need something like:

    analogOutputTask.Triggers.StartTrigger.ConfigureDigitalEdgeTrigger ("?", DigitalEdgeStartTriggerEdge.Rising);

    digitalOutputTask.Triggers.StartTrigger.ConfigureDigitalEdgeTrigger ("?", DigitalEdgeStartTriggerEdge.Rising);

    analogOutputTask.Start (); Slave 1

    digitalOutputTask.Start (); slave 2

    () counterTask.Start; n / / master

Where? is a string specifying a command source for the beginning of the task of the meter. However, I can't find what this string. Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

  • How can I get my optical audio output to work on my TV?

I have a 50A 2020 Sony KDS and trying to get the audio out to work. IM got a Roku for Christmas which works very well. I connect via HDMI to the roku to TV which works fine. My problem is I want the sound to come through my receiver and speakers instead of the TV speakers, so I ran an optical cable from the Audio out on the back of the TV to the receiver. the problem is that it does not work. What do I need to enable something somewhere to tell the TV to send audio out via the optical cable? I don't want to spend hundreds of $ on a new receiver...

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums.

Unfortunately, this generation of TV doesn't have the function to send the audio using an optical digital output to an HDMI input. Work optical TV when you use the TV tuner because it only works for digital channels. I understand the Roku doesn't have optical or coaxial, so you may have to buy a receiver that has HDMI in and connect the Roku and HDMI on the receiver to the HDMI on the TV.
