  We have an ASA 5550, ver 8.0 (5) and using IPSEC client for remote access in the main office.  Remote access works very well with Tunnel from Split.  We can access the resources network and go on the internet with Tunnel from Split.  However, we can only access network resources, but not for complete tunnel internet access.  Do you have any suggestions?

  Ask McAfee.  Their product, they will have to rely on it (not to talk about what your answer will depend on the SPECIFIC product).

  Or - even better - uninstall and get something better.  Free (not of some makers of ISP/computer getting a rebound) and probably less resource intensive with better results all around.

  Get rid of McAfee. Anything and everything that made by McAfee.

  Regarding AntiVirus - free are very good: Avira, AVG, Avast

  You could spend ~ 60USD during two years of eSET NOD32 AntiVirus (not more - just product AntiVirus) and which would be more worthwhile.

  In your case, here is what I propose...

  Choose one product other than McAfee or Norton. Get it.

  Uninstall McAfee stuff (use their removal there tool.)

  After a reboot - install your new product and update after the installation.

  Run a full scan with it.

  Then - just to make sure you started on the right foot...

  Search for malware:

  Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

  • MalwareBytes (FREE)
  • SuperAntiSpyware (FREE)

  Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

  Search online with eSet Online Scanner. Remove everything it finds.

  Reset.

  ESX is not Linux. However, your service console uses a very light version of RHEL5.3 so can be considered Linux. However, you cannot install standard Linux applications in the Service Console without possibly breaking the functionality of the service console. eTrust may require packages that are more or less don't have never been part of vSphere 4.0 console service.

  The suggestion is to never operate AV in the service console, but if you must respect and policy reasons for ensuring that install you in a complete different ROOT directory. In order to install eTrust, you may need to install other packages for RedHat, you SHOULD NOT install in the same ROOT service console but a different ROOT directory. It is a feature of RPM, so you really need to know Linux to it. Contact CA and obtain what they recommend for the ESX service console.

  If you place AV in your service console ensure that it scans NEVER anything in VMFS. If you do, you will considerably, and I mean greatly the performance of VM impact as well as experiences of false positives.

  However, if it was me, and I was necessary for the performance of the AV on Linux systems because of politics, I strive to get an Exception for any ESX service console.
