AnyConnect 4.0 license

Hi Experts,

Guide Anyconnect 4.0 licenses seems bit confusing.

If you have a client with 1000 users and an ASA who takes care of 1000 concurrent connections, but you only have a license for 250 users, this means that you can not install AnyConnect on all machines in 1000 (as it has previously been supported) and that 250 machines must be enabled to use the VPN?

In the past, you could install Anyconnect on all 1000 machines and have been limited by the number of concurrent connections on the SAA. The question also applies to SSL, SSL licensing limited approach user-based or is it based on the number of simultaneous connections to the ASA?

Christian

Concurrent connections no role more with AC4. You need one license per user that uses the VPN. If you have 10000 users while only 5 of them using the VPN at the same time, you must therefore 10000 licenses.

Fortunately, the licenses are pretty cheap compared to the Premium-price old. And you can use your licenses with gateways as much as you want. This could also sure money compared to the previous model of license.

  • AnyConnect Premium - Rehost license

    Hello

I´d would like to know how the license Premium Anyconnect rehost. Is this possible?

I mean, I have 10 license on my ASA and now I´d to put it on an other ASA.

    How to do this?

    Kind regards.

Sorry but what you ask is available in the case of a number of RMA (Return Material Authorization) of a failed unit. The reasoning is that the old unit will not 'license' for what is already.

If you are the old unit and rating upgrade - tell to a 5500 to 5500 - Series X - you may be able to get your manager to bring some relief from cost under the technology transfer program, but which differs from the rehosting license.

  • AnyConnect 4.0 license with ASA-5515-FPWR

    Hi all

I have a small question, where I can't find a clear answer for:

A customer wants to buy a new ASA for a showroom. He wants to connect 30 phones VPN and 60 VPN users, where only 10 of them are simultaneously connected. Then we would have two choices now

-Either go with the 3.5 Anyconnect licensing, with a premium SSL 50 license and activation phones VPN and mobility AC licenses

    - Or go to AC 4.0 license, where we would have to license 100 users with MORE licenses.

    My questions are:

-Can I any other / more license on the SAA (i.e. SSL)

    -Where to install the license

-How is the number of users (i.e. of the ad groups, local accounts)

Is there a documentation clearly indicating the answers

Thank you all for your help.

If you want that the phone itself to be the endpoint remote VPN access, then Yes - you need VPN phone license which requires in turn AnyConnect Premium (for 3.x installations)

"Plus" AnyConnect (for 4.x) includes 'VPN functionality for PC and mobile platforms, including per-app VPN on mobile platforms and phone Cisco VPN' (referring to the January 2015 of the ordering Guide AnyConnect 4.0 version)

  • Cisco Anyconnect to mobile license?

    Dear all:

Currently, we will activate cisco anyconnect for mobile (IPAD), our license is currently:

Material: ASA5510, 1024 MB RAM, Pentium 4 Celeron 1599 MHz processor
Internal ATA Compact Flash, 256 MB

    Hardware encryption device: edge Cisco ASA - 55 x 0 Accelerator (revision 0 x 0)

The devices allowed for this platform:
    The maximum physical Interfaces: unlimited
    VLAN maximum: 100
    Internal hosts: unlimited
    Failover: Active/active
    VPN - A: enabled
    VPN-3DES-AES: enabled
    Security contexts: 2
    GTP/GPRS: disabled
    VPN SSL counterparts: 10
    The VPN peers total: 250
    Sharing license: disabled
    AnyConnect for Mobile: disabled
    AnyConnect Cisco VPN phone: disabled
    AnyConnect Essentials: disabled
    Assessment of Advanced endpoint: disabled
Proxy sessions for the UC phone: 2
Total number of Sessions of Proxy UC: 2
    Botnet traffic filter: disabled

This platform includes an ASA 5510 Security Plus license.

as I read, so cisco anyconnect for mobile (IPAD), I need two licenses:

AnyConnect Essentials and AnyConnect for Mobile, is that correct?

If I want to activate this just for 10 users, I can do this? What are the available license I have to select by the user issues a year (or over a year?)

can my final question get these licenses from Amazon, since google shows as these offers.

    Please help thanks

I would go for the license more. It is much cheaper then the VPN-only-license and you can continue to use it when you change the ASA in a newer model.

  • 5505 Anyconnect essentials of license details please

Have a 'base' 5505 with the upgrade of 50 internal guests.

I just added the ASA-AC-E-5505 25 Anyconnecr Essentials license key to this unit.

Show version now shows active Anyconnect Essentials, but the "total peer VPN" is always 10.

Am I not able to have 25 Anyconnect customer to connect to my network? or am I limited to 10?

I've read many threads, but just more confused.

    Thank you

    DWNewman

    Hi Dennis,

If anyconnect essentials is enabled, then we can log 25 users.

Run the command " sh vpn-sessiondb license-summary" "yshow your vpn-sessiondb". "" It will show you the number of users anyconnect you can connect.

    Kind regards

  • ASA 8.4 (1) user AnyConnect Premium upgrade license

Before version 8.4 (1), Cisco has called their license name for SSL/VPN Premium AnyConnect SSL VPN users and currently the new name of the license is simply AnyConnect Premium.  In addition, the IOS show name amount users VPN/SSL enabled via your license (Exodus 2, 10, 25, 50,...) by running a 'show activation code"went under SSL VPN peers to peers Premium AnyConnect.

That said, my question is if the upgrade license 10 users to 25 users (L-ASA-SSL-10-25 = -

ASA 5500 SSL VPN 10 to 25 user Premium upgrade license) on a SAA before 8.4 (1) and an ASA with 8.4 (1) is always topical and the good part number make these upgrades for the two ASAs.  The description of this part number throws me because it says SSL VPN for Premium user, which was the name before 8.4 (1).  I couldn't find any documentation about this part number or to modernize the two ASAs 10 users to 25 users.

Can someone check this part number is perfectly fine to make these upgrades?  I appreciate any help or advice.

' L ASA-SSL-10-25 ' of Cisco is indeed part number correct to use for the upgrade of an ASA with 8.4 (1) a user of 10 to 25 AnyConnect Premium license user.

I agree that it would be clearer if they simply called it a "AnyConnect Premium" instead of SSL VPN license. This makes it much more confusing since the AnyConnect Essentials and Premium supports the SSL VPN client-oriented. Based on a browser (without customer) is a feature you get with Anyconnect Premium

  • AnyConnect SSL Premium license not stackable

Hi, first of all, thank you for reading my entry.

Recently I have activation of license SSL problem.

Customer purchase L-ASA-SSL-50 = and L-ASA-SSL-250 = for their ASA5540 in support of 300 peers.

I realize the two key PAK set separated by commas, but I get an activation code for 50 peers.

Answer license 250 TAC cannot be shown due to the system detect there are already 50 licenses.

That means 250 = and = 50 cannot be stacked together to reach 300.

I searched to find Cisco doc about this problem, but no luck.

Has anyone read this Cisco documentation somewhere?

Now, Cisco can add the 250 = license and remove 50 =.

But I do not know if this add 250 = can replace 50 = installed to ASA.

Someone at - it similar cases?

My source is a guarantee of training partner.

There is a small reference to this behavior in the following location:

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/iOS-sslvpn/67909-SSL-...

I have not performed the upgrade right that you are talking about but, so general, licensed ASA is passed and implemented via an activation key that is generated by the internal system from Cisco and, when it is installed, it will result in the unit reflecting the level of license bought - assuming that it was purchased correctly of course.

Your dealer should be able to advise you on the right track.

  • Licensing of ASA - AnyConnect

    Hello

I am looking to Anyconnect ASA5515-X licenses with the power of fire (ASA5515-FPWR-k9) but am a bit confused to for AnyConnect license options...

Can someone explain to me how it works?

I got a quote for an ASA5515-X-K9 previously with 50 premium SSL VPN licenses, but now I'm looking at the ASA5515-FPWR-k9, I can't work on the right option. Later that I got for 50 licenses AnyConnect more seems to be 10 times cheaper? Surely, it can't be the same thing?

Most of old roughly equate with the new more licenses (with no separate required Mobile license) and is generally sold as a term-based perpetual license vs.

The premium of the old maps to the Apex (no separate assessment Endpoint advanced required). It is sold only focused on the term (1, 3 or 5 years).

There is a guide AnyConnect directing partners and resellers to use.

  • AnyConnect license

    Hello

I have Cisco ASA 5550 with license Premium VPN & see the release of the version he shows the Anyconnect license as. I want to understand what they refer

    AnyConnect Premium peer: 4 perpetual
    AnyConnect Essentials: 5000 perpetual
    AnyConnect for Mobile: activated perpetual
AnyConnect Cisco VPN phone: disabled perpetual

    Hi Claudia,.

Since you have 4 Anyconnect Premium licenses which allows obtaining simultaneously 4 Clientless/Client sessions.

You have an Anyconnect Essentials 5000 this license which means you can have 5000 concurrent sessions on the ASA but not Clientless Anyconnect client as it only supports connections customer base.

You also Anyconnect for Mobile license, this which means that you would be able to connect to mobile devices like Android, iphone, Ipad as Anyconnect Client.

    Kind regards

  • Essential AnyConnect demo license

    Hello

I need some advice regarding the AnyConnect demo license. I registered today for demo AnyConnect essential/Premium license however after activation I'm not able to activate the essential AnyConnect and Premium demo seems to be enabled. I thought with demo license essential/Premium I can switch between them. I need to test the AnyConnect customer deployments with two-factor security Duo.

I have to reload my two ASA5510 once new demo key is added?

    Kind regards

    Manioro Luu

You cannot have the two together on a firewall

You will need to get another key, activate the necessary license and reload the firewall

  • Issue of license Mobile AnyConnect

I have an ASA 5505 with a basic license allowing 2 concurrent SSL connections via the AnyConnect client.  If I want to allow two devices to use the AnyConnect VPN connections do I just need to buy two AnyConnect Mobile phone licenses (L-ASA-AC-M-5505 =) and apply them to the 5505?

    Thank you!

Relative to the issuance of permits, a single license AnyConnect Mobile allows mobile clients to use AnyConnect meets the limit of bonus (in your case) or licenses essential already licensed and active on the SAA. that is, only a reference number unique mobile license must be purchased.

Of course, you also need to configure remote VPN access.

  • Cisco Anyconnect Essentials License - What is it

    Hello community.

I managed to install an ASA with Anyconnect. The Anyconnect client on my laptop works very well.

But why now to buy a Cisco Anyconnect Essentials License, what exactly is this license?

AnyConnect works fine without this license.

But I can not connect with my IPhone with the Cisco Anyconnect for Iphone App. should I buy the Anyconnect for Mobile license and this license just for a single device or all devices. Because this license is really cheap. Cisco licenses normally are expensiv.

Thank you and best regards patrick

If you have not all AnyConnect Premium licenses, then you are limited to two simultaneous connections if you do not have the license of anyConnect Essentials. You are right, for i-devices (and Android...) you need the AnyConnect Mobile license.

AnyConnect Essentials both AnyConnect Mobile are approved by ASA, not user connections. And AnyConnect Mobile needs AnyConnect essential or Preimium AnyConnect license must be activated.

Philip AnyConnect 4.x licenses are NOT limited to a single ASA (or pair HA). It is a change of 3.x and earlier versions.

You can exchange the PAKs against ASAs as are used for remote access VPN in a given customer.

As long as you do not exceed the number of authorized users, you in the terms of the license. The number of users is not currently technically - applied is to the customer, such as advised by their dealer, buy the right level of license.

  • Any license of Connect for Mobile

    Hello

I have a couple of units of ASA5525-X with premium VPN licenses, now when I connect with connect any customer for Androind. I get the message that I don't have a License.

I found an old thread on this forum that suggests that if you have a Premium VPN license, you should be able to request a license of base as well, but I can't find where I can do or if this information is correct.

    Hello

Later, you need to order an additional license, called 'AnyConnect for Mobile' order to use mobile devices to connect over Anyconnect.

But in 2015 has changed the license for Anyconnect schema. Today, "AnyConnect for Mobile" license has expired. I'm not sure if it is possible to order the license today.

According to the new licensing scheme, you must migrate Anyconnect Premium license for a new licence, called "Anyconnect Apex". With the new license "Anyconnect Apex" you don't need to have "AnyConnect for Mobile" more. Mobile devices will be able to connect using the Anyconnect client.

Anyconnect Premium Anyconnect apex migration is free.

But please, attention, the new licenses are subscriptions. So, after the migration to the Apex licenses, you will get a subscription for 3 years. After 3 years, you will need to renew your subscription, and it will be not free.
