AnyConnect Mobile license

Hello

I have 2 questions about the mobile Anyconnect license?

1. Why is there a mobile separate license for mobile devices for SSL VPN on an ASA firewall in addition to the regular essentials license, but when using the SSL VPN on the latest IOS routers, that a license is required? (I can connect to the IOS router with our mobile devices without error message)

2 is supported for setting up Cisco IOS ssl vpn on demand router? (Trying to implement access remote jabber)

1. it is a business of Cisco and just something we implementers should work with. For what it's worth, AnyConnect 4.0 is licensed differently and do not require a separate mobile license.

2. I don't know about that one.

  • Installing AnyConnect Mobile licenses

I want to clarify how exactly a Cisco AnyConnect Mobile license is applied to an ASA. Does as a PAK and then a license key is created? Y at - it a separate to enter specifically for the mobile command?

The mobile license was delivered as a PAK who was converted into a license key.

But today, you buy the mobile license more, instead you buy 4 AnyConnect more or APEX which includes the mobile service.

If you already have Essentials or premium, you can get the license migration until the end of the year.

My cisco contact told me: 'you must only ASA-AC-M-5510.

can anyone confirm? I would like to be sure before buy you.

    Best regards

    Nicolas

    Yes, that is absolutely right.

Since you already have the AnyConnect Premium license for 50 users (SSL VPN peers: 50)

, then to connect mobile devices, all you need is the ASA-AC-M-5510.

  • iPad, AnyConnect Mobile license question

    Hello

I'll put up an ASA5505 allow a VPN with the certificate of the Client AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client (iPad)

However I get a message 'not of License"return of the ASA on the iPad - Anyconnect.

I remember reading that the ASA5505 came with two licenses. Or am I wrong?

    Thank you for your help

    Edward

No, the mobile AnyConnect license allow only ASA accept the SSL of the mobile client connection.

If you want to use the certificate as authentication, then you will need to purchase the certificate from a CA. OR, you can configure the ASA as the CA server and it can produce certificate for the client.

Alternatively, if you require a certificate, such as authentication, then CA certificate is not necessary at all.

  • Question about the license of Cisco's AnyConnect Mobile

    Hello

I was reading on anycconnect, and I have a doubt,

Do I need Cisco AnyConnect mobile license if I establish a vpn with the ASA windows desktop using the anyconnect client?.

or these licenses are needed only when I use anyconnect on mobile platforms (iphone, ipad, Android)?

hope someone clarify this point for me,

    Kind regards

    Juan Pablo Hidalgo

It is useless to AnyConnect Mobile licenses for users who connect from a Windows desktop computer. These permits are only required for users with mobile platforms.

  • AnyConnect Mobile and Premium SSL free licenses

    Hello

I currently have a pair of ASA5510 HA, if I understand the 2 free premium licenses can be used by the mobile client, as long as the ASA has the license for mobile clients?

Can someone confirm that my interpretation is correct, or I have to buy a separate license to the premium one long with the license mobile client to enable this feature?

    Thanks for your time.

    Hello

That's right! I did the same action on an ASA5505. In this case, you only need the anyconnect mobile license.

  • Disable/remove Anyconnect mobile on SAA license?

    Hello

Recently installed the Anyconnect mobile license to allow users of iPhone/iPad to connect to our SSL VPN from Cisco ASA. However, we want to turn this feature off. Is it possible to remove or disable this license or may not allow users to connect successfully to our Cisco ASA Apple iOS environment?

    BR!

    Patrik

To remove the license, keep a copy of the current activation key you have. In this case, you want to reactivate the AnyConnect mobile license, then you can just reactivate using the current activation key.

To actually remove the license activation key AnyConnect, send an email to [email protected] / * /. Include a copy of 'see the version' and advise them that you want to get an activation without the AnyConnect Mobile license key. Once they provide you with the new activation key (which excludes the AnyConnect Mobile license), you can enter this new key on the SAA.

  • Cisco Anyconnect Essentials License - What is it

    Hello community.

I managed to install an ASA with Anyconnect. The Anyconnect client on my laptop works very well.

But why now to buy a Cisco Anyconnect Essentials License, what exactly is this license?

AnyConnect works fine without this license.

But I can not connect with my IPhone with the Cisco Anyconnect for Iphone App. should I buy the Anyconnect for Mobile license and this license just for a single device or all devices. Because this license is really cheap. Cisco licenses normally are expensiv.

Thank you and best regards patrick

If you have not all AnyConnect Premium licenses, then you are limited to two simultaneous connections if you do not have the license of anyConnect Essentials. You are right, for i-devices (and Android...) you need the AnyConnect Mobile license.

AnyConnect Essentials both AnyConnect Mobile are approved by ASA, not user connections. And AnyConnect Mobile needs AnyConnect essential or Preimium AnyConnect license must be activated.

  • Configure AnyConnect (Mobile) on ASA5505

I found some tutorials and guides on how to Setup on an ASA5505 AnyConnect, but I wanted to check before to make sure I was going to the right direction.

    Installation program:

I have a very simple installation and the basic objective.  I have currently just a laptop on my ASA5505 E0/1 and then the ASA is configured with a static IP connected to the Internet.  I have ASA correctly configured and you can browse the web through the laptop.

I also AnyConnect and AnyConnect Mobile licenses as well.

    Objective:

I want to configure on the ASA5505 AnyConnect and simply to establish a successful connection to a device mobile android running AnyConnect necessary software on the market.

    ===========

There are plenty of guides for specifc set ups, but as described, I want to keep it is as simple as possible.

It would be a good guide to complete this?

Also, I am more comfortable with the CLI. Is it easier to use the ASDM Assistant for this?

    Thanks in advance.

  • ASA 5500 x new anyconnect VPN license structure

I wonder if anyone can give me some insight on the new ASA VPN (SSL VPN) structure of license.  Currently, I have anyconnect premium license installed on the ASA 5500 series but want to buy the same type of license for x ASA 5500 series.  I understand the premium license is required for SSL VPN and webvpn.  Can someone find out if the premium anyconnect and anyconnect essentials license has been replaced by the Cisco Anyconnect Apex licence?

The new AnyConnect Apex maps old Premium licenses. They are now focused on the term (1, 3-5 years) and have been approved by a single user (regardless of the number of devices) vs. concurrent users on the old regime.

Apex (or the old premium) is required for clientless SSL VPN. Regular-based on the SSL VPN client AnyConnect requires no Apex but can be done by using only more licenses.

The new AnyConnect Plus is the old Essentials plus mobile licenses. There is an option of perpetual and based on the duration.

By single user licensing is a terms and conditions / EULA stuff and not enforced by technical means at the moment.

  • AnyConnect VPN license on ASA 5510

    Hello

We have ASA 5510 IPS with basic license. We must now Anyconnect support for more than 2 users.

Anyconnect (tunnel mode) but essentially Anyconnect license enough? Do need me a license for SSL VPN peers?

What about Anyconnect without customer, I see that I need a premium license?

This one is pretty ASA5510-SSL50-K9? It's really expensive compared the Anyconnect Essentials.

Here is my worm out sh:

The devices allowed for this platform:
    The maximum physical Interfaces: unlimited
    VLAN maximum: 50
    Internal hosts: unlimited
    Failover: disabled
    VPN - A: enabled
    VPN-3DES-AES: enabled
    Security contexts: 0
    GTP/GPRS: disabled
    SSL VPN peers: 2
    The VPN peers total: 250
    Sharing license: disabled
    AnyConnect for Mobile: disabled
    AnyConnect Cisco VPN phone: disabled
    AnyConnect Essentials: disabled
    Assessment of Advanced endpoint: disabled
Proxy sessions for the UC phone: 2
Total number of Sessions of Proxy UC: 2
    Botnet traffic filter: disabled

This platform includes a basic license.

Yes, AnyConnect Premium includes all the SSL features (including the complete tunnel mode AnyConnect - which is what sustains essential AnyConnect).

So if you buy the 50 user for AnyConnect Premium license, you can have up to 50 SSL VPN connections, if they are the combination of all without customer, or combination of tunnel without customer and full, or just full tunnel. All with a maximum of 50 simultaneous SSL tunnels.

  • HA possibility of twinning? two ASA5520s, one with Anyconnect Essentials with Anyconnect more licenses - can these two equivalent license types HA pair successfully?

I have two ASA5520s... we have 750 Anyconnect Essentials licenses and the other 750 Anyconnect more licenses.

These can two successfully pair HA or I need to have both on the same exactly the type of license?  that is the two Anyconnect more...

    Thank you!

    HAL

    Hi hmcandrew,

As far as I know, you need to require one of the ASA on the other to run in failover mode.

Maybe if you run them in a private network virtual-balancing of the load in place, they will be able to work, but it will not give you HA.

  • Essential AnyConnect demo license

    Hello

I need some advice regarding the AnyConnect demo license. I registered today for demo AnyConnect essential/Premium license however after activation I'm not able to activate the essential AnyConnect and Premium demo seems to be enabled. I thought with demo license essential/Premium I can switch between them. I need to test the AnyConnect customer deployments with two-factor security Duo.

I have to reload my two ASA5510 once new demo key is added?

    Kind regards

    Manioro Luu

You cannot have the two together on a firewall

You will need to get another key, activate the necessary license and reload the firewall

    Kind regards

  • Cisco Anyconnect to mobile license?

    Dear all:

Currently, we will activate cisco anyconnect for mobile (IPAD), our license is currently:

Material: ASA5510, 1024 MB RAM, Pentium 4 Celeron 1599 MHz processor
Internal ATA Compact Flash, 256 MB

    Hardware encryption device: edge Cisco ASA - 55 x 0 Accelerator (revision 0 x 0)

The devices allowed for this platform:
    The maximum physical Interfaces: unlimited
    VLAN maximum: 100
    Internal hosts: unlimited
    Failover: Active/active
    VPN - A: enabled
    VPN-3DES-AES: enabled
    Security contexts: 2
    GTP/GPRS: disabled
    VPN SSL counterparts: 10
    The VPN peers total: 250
    Sharing license: disabled
    AnyConnect for Mobile: disabled
    AnyConnect Cisco VPN phone: disabled
    AnyConnect Essentials: disabled
    Assessment of Advanced endpoint: disabled
Proxy sessions for the UC phone: 2
Total number of Sessions of Proxy UC: 2
    Botnet traffic filter: disabled

This platform includes an ASA 5510 Security Plus license.

as I read, so cisco anyconnect for mobile (IPAD), I need two licenses:

AnyConnect Essentials and AnyConnect for Mobile, is that correct?

If I want to activate this just for 10 users, I can do this? What are the available license I have to select by the user issues a year (or over a year?)

can my final question get these licenses from Amazon, since google shows as these offers.

    Please help thanks

I would go for the license more. It is much cheaper then the VPN-only-license and you can continue to use it when you change the ASA in a newer model.
